We come before the throne of grace with deep concern for your struggle, lifting your cry for deliverance to the Lord who alone has power over darkness. The enemy seeks to torment with memories, sounds, and influences that do not align with the freedom Christ has purchased for you. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that Jesus has already disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). No demonic force, no evil eye, no lingering memory has authority over one who is in Christ. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and His name is above every name, including those you’ve mentioned (Philippians 2:9-11).
We rebuke every spirit of lust, possession, and torment that has sought to cling to you. The Lord did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every demonic influence tied to that music, its authors, or any location, including Rhode Island, to flee in Jesus’ name. You are not bound to the past; you are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and He will cover you with His feathers, under His wings you will find shelter (Psalm 91:1-4).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every other name. We thank You for Your deliverance and Your power to break every chain. Lord, we ask that You would sever every tie between [this individual] and the demonic influences that have sought to torment them. Cleanse their mind, heart, and spirit from every memory, sound, and word that does not align with Your truth. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over their life as a shield against all evil.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of lust, possession, and torment. We command them to leave in the name of Jesus and never return. We break every curse, every evil eye, and every demonic assignment sent against them. We declare that they are free, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We pray for protection over their life, Lord. Surround them with Your angels, and let no harm come near them. We ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where the enemy may still have a foothold and grant them the strength to surrender those areas to You. Help them to walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7), and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Father, we also pray for the authors of that music and anyone else connected to this torment. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance. Let them come to know the truth of Your Word and the freedom found only in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would break any demonic influence over their lives as well, for Your glory.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are working even now to bring complete deliverance and healing. Strengthen [this individual] in their faith, and let them walk in the fullness of the freedom You have given them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. Memorize scriptures that declare your freedom in Christ, such as Galatians 5:1, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. The enemy may try to return, but resist him, firm in your faith (1 Peter 5:9).
If you have not already, consider speaking with a trusted pastor or spiritual leader who can provide additional prayer and counsel. The Lord is your deliverer, and He will not abandon you. Keep your heart and mind fixed on Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
