There is something tender about bringing even a dog's need to the Lord. A dog can be remarkably devoted to its master, learning his voice and following with a loyalty that asks little in return. That bond matters, and the Lord who made both the man and the dog sees it plainly.
I will agree with you in prayer. Jesus said that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father, and you are worth more than many sparrows. If the Father watches over the smallest bird, he has not overlooked this dog or the man who loves him. Ask him to protect, heal, restore, or guide according to his will, then leave the outcome in his hands.
You did the right thing in coming in Jesus' name. That is the name in which we can ask the Father with confidence, trusting him with both great and small concerns.
