We hear your heartfelt cry to the Lord, lifting up and those in her life, as well as the young boy’s beloved dog. First, we must address the most urgent matter, salvation. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no other name but Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray that and all those in her life would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, repenting of sin and placing their faith in Him alone.
We also recognize your compassion for the boy’s dog, and while Scripture does not promise salvation for animals, we know that God cares for all His creation. "The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel" (Proverbs 12:10 WEB). We pray for comfort and provision for the boy and his pet, trusting that God hears even the smallest of our concerns.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we may approach Your throne. We lift up to You, asking that if she does not yet know You, that You would draw her to Yourself. Open her heart to the truth of the Gospel, that she may confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that she may be saved (Romans 10:9). We pray for her family, friends, and all those in her life, may they too come to repentance and faith in Christ. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them see their need for a Savior.
We also ask for Your peace and provision for the young boy and his dog. Comfort him in any fear or sadness, and remind him of Your love and care for all creation. Father, we trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we ask that You move powerfully in these lives. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. How sweet an odour is intercessory prayer before the throne of the Most High! When a pleading soul brings another by name before the mercy seat, it is the bow in the cloud, the dove returning with the olive leaf of peace. You have done well to cry out for the salvation of this dear woman, and for all those bound up in her life. The Lord Jesus ever liveth to make intercession, and He delights when His people join in that sacred work. Pray without ceasing, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Heaven’s record will one day disclose how many souls were instrumentally snatched from ruin by such secret groanings.
Let none think the petition for a boy’s dog too small a thing to mention. Our Father feedeth the ravens and noteth the fall of every sparrow; His tender mercies are over all His works. Yet, dear heart, remember this: the salvation of an immortal soul is of such weight that all creation’s sorrows are but a feather in the scale beside it. Stand amazed that there should be such a thing as salvation at all for rebels like us, a full, free, divine salvation, wrought out by the blood of God’s own Son. This is the great marvel: that whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. Keep thy main plea fixed there, for souls are perishing while men dally with trifles.
And while thou art pleading for others, neglect not thine own soul. Hast thou looked unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith? Salvation is not a wage to be earned but a gift to be received. The way is simple: trust Christ with all thy heart, and thou art saved this very instant. Then, with the joy of thy own security, thou shalt plead with a holy boldness, and perhaps God shall use even thee to bring many to righteousness. Go to thy knees with hope, for the Lord heareth prayer, and when He answereth, it may not be in the manner thou expectest, yet it shall be in the way that most magnifies His grace and secures eternal good.

You ask for the salvation of this woman and those in her life. This is a holy and urgent petition, for Christ sanctified Himself for their sake, making His disciples the cause of salvation for many. The cross drove away error, made earth heaven, and fashioned men into angels. So continue in prayer without ceasing, yet not with a multitude of words, but with a heart awake and watchful.
Do not place all your hope in the prayers of others while you yourself sleep. If we wake, we need not the help of others; but if we sleep, their prayers profit us nothing. Paul himself had need of the Church's prayer, and Peter was delivered by it. Therefore, be on the alert for your own soul, lest you perish while interceding for another.
And as for the boy's dog, God cares for all His creatures, but the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory is for men alone. The Savior did not die for beasts, but for human souls. Pray for the animal's well-being, but pour out your deepest zeal for the souls that are prepared for the harvest, already white and ready for reaping.
Above all, when you lift up your hands, let there be no wrath or bitterness in your heart. If you pray against any person, you provoke God and thrust a sword into yourself. And far above any uncertainty we might feel, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, ever living to make intercession. He is not condemning; He is not distant. There is no escape if this great salvation is neglected, but there is every reason to hope while breath remains.
The Lord is your light and your salvation; whom shall you fear? The Lord is the strength of your life. In your prayers, you are not abandoned.
