We join our hearts with yours in lifting these concerns to our Heavenly Father, who alone holds the power to save, heal, and restore. Your request touches on matters of eternal significance, salvation, and we take this with the utmost seriousness, for the Word declares, "For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36). Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). We pray that every person mentioned, this man, this woman, the two others, the family, and all those connected to them, would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, repenting of sin and placing their trust in Him alone.

Father, we also lift up the physical concerns regarding salmonella and the health of the farm and distributor. We ask for Your divine protection and healing, for You are the Great Physician. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). We rebuke any contamination, disease, or harm in Jesus’ name, declaring that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17). May Your hand of restoration be upon this situation, bringing safety, purity, and well-being.

For the family that is lost, we cry out to You, Lord, for their safe return. You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one (Luke 15:4-6). We ask that You would guide them, protect them, and draw them back to safety and to You. If they do not know You, we pray they would encounter Your love and truth, for "the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

We must also address a concern in this prayer, while you invoked the name of Jesus, we want to emphasize that salvation is not merely a request for a general "saving" but a personal surrender to Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If these individuals have not repented of sin, believed in Jesus’ death and resurrection, and confessed Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10), they remain lost. We pray they would not just be "saved" in a vague sense but would experience the transformative power of the Gospel.

For the physical concerns, we declare Your healing power over salmonella and any contamination. We rebuke sickness and disease in Jesus’ name, for "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Protect the farm, the distributor, and all who may be affected. Restore health, purity, and safety according to Your will.

The prayer that goes up for bodily ills is quick and earnest, for we speedily care for these diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence. But let the greater cry ascend for the soul's sickness, for the plague of sin that brings eternal death. A broken heart for sin, wrought by the Holy Ghost, is the sure prelude to salvation; its ultimate issue is heaven. If you are driven out of yourself, crying for a mightier hand to carry you to the house of mercy, then be of good cheer, for a great deliverance awaits.

You plead for many souls, that they be saved if they are in need. There is only one way of salvation for all, whether the great man or his servant, the moral professor or the open sinner. Look unto Christ and be saved, all the ends of the earth; good works and ceremonies are placed where they ought not be, like chimney-pots in the foundation. Salvation is without money and without price, by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus. For the Scripture says, whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. This salvation is so full, so suitable, made on purpose for the very sinner who receives it. It is a rich salvation indeed, healing the nations with its abundant leaves, even the least touches of Christ are full of virtue.

For the household you name, and the family sought, remember the jailer’s house: unlikely hearers, yet the whole family believed and was baptized, setting to work to serve God with gladness. By the bliss of a united family, seek this salvation. Weep not hopelessly for those who live in sin, but pray without ceasing, for God will be inquired of to do this thing. Do not neglect this great salvation for your own soul; see to your own salvation, for it is the base from which God works for the good of others. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; He who has begun the work will be faithful to complete it. Is anything too hard for the Lord? He will not prepare heaven for us and then refuse to bring us there.

You do well to bring these souls before God with such earnest care, but take heed that your own hearing does not remain unfruitful. For it is not enough to pray for others; the word must take root in you through careful hearing and continual recollection, lest the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and every worldly longing choke out what is sown. Many begin with zeal, yet when affliction arises, they wither; many hear, yet bring no fruit to perfection. No single part of virtue suffices for salvation, but there must be fortitude, contempt of riches, and deliverance from every earthly thing.

Do not think that simply naming the need ensures the cure. The present time is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. Delay is a thief, stealing the very moment of mercy. If these persons truly need salvation, then you must not only pray, but also stir them up, bear with their weakness, and endure whatever comes so that they may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. As our Lord did not come to judge the world but to save it, so we, having received such mercy, become co-workers in this harvest, not by empty words but by patient suffering and holy example.

Regarding the bodily ills you mention, it is not wrong to seek health for the farm and the distributor. Yet know that the healing of the soul is far weightier. The fever of sin is a harder pestilence than any salmonella. The body may be delivered, but if the soul remains unhealed, what is gained? Do not let your request sink into a love of present ease; let it be a door to lift their minds toward the Physician of spirits. Christ ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him; He is able to save to the uttermost, having no successor in His priesthood. Therefore, plead boldly, but also warn, teach, and labor, that these many persons may not hear in vain, but may be found in that day, built up and not destroyed for a trivial thing.

Let none imagine that a late repentance is impossible. Even at the vestibule of wickedness, souls have turned and recovered. Yet let no one presume upon this, for today is the day. Keep on with your prayers; do not grow weary. And look to yourself, lest after preaching to others, you yourself be cast away. Strive to bring forth fruit worthy of the mercy you seek for them.

Scripture is clear that if someone does not yet have that relationship where they can call God "Father," the one prayer He is waiting to hear is, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner." Your prayer for this man and the people in his life, for that woman and her circle, and for those two unnamed individuals is a plea for that very mercy to find them. It is a prayer that perfectly aligns with God’s heart, for He desires that none should perish. Continue in that prayer, and do not give up. Persistence is not about changing God's mind; it is about the door being opened for Him to do what He is already wanting to do in their lives.

Alongside the eternal, you are also bringing practical, physical needs like the salmonella contamination. That combination is wise. Nehemiah’s first response to any threat was prayer, but he also set a watch. Prayer is not an excuse for inaction, and action without prayer is presumption. So as you ask for the sickness to be permanently wiped out and destroyed, you are also implicitly praying for wisdom, health, and purity over the farm and the distributor. That is prayer and prudence working together. Ask the Lord to bring complete restoration to the entire process, from the source to the supply.

The matter of the missing family grips the heart with particular urgency. It is the kind of desperation that drives us to a depth of prayer where we realize it is truly a matter of life and death. Make this your first resort, not a last one. Pour out your heart for them, that they would be found and kept safe. This kind of prayer, which goes beyond your own walls to embrace a community and a world in distress, is an unspeakable privilege. It is a ministry not bound by location, reaching places your feet will never go. As you continue, let your prayers follow that full cycle: begin with worship for who God is, move into these earnest petitions, and then return to thanksgiving for His faithfulness to answer.
