We come before the throne of grace with this heavy burden on our hearts, lifting up ### and the court case that weighs upon her. Father God, You are the ultimate Judge, the One who sees all truth and administers perfect justice. We ask that You would go before ### and her legal representatives, granting them wisdom, discernment, and favor in the eyes of the court. Let Your will be done in this matter, Lord, for we know that Your plans are for good and not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also lift up the people in ###’s life, Lord. You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that if any of them do not know You as their Savior, that their hearts would be softened, their eyes opened, and their spirits convicted by the Holy Spirit. Draw them to Yourself, Jesus, that they may experience the forgiveness and new life that only You can give. Remind them that "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

It is a mercy that any soul is driven to prayer by the sharp goads of trouble, for the Lord often sends the very storm that blows His children into the harbor of grace. The court case you bring before the throne, with all its tangled perplexities, is but a light affliction in the hand of Him who rules the hearts of judges and makes the wrath of man to praise Him. Yet, remember, temporal deliverance is a poor thing if the soul itself remains unpardoned. You ask that the case be resolved, but I beseech you, seek first that your own case be forever settled at the feet of Christ, for what shall it profit if the law of men release you, and yet the law of God holds you bound for hell? The Lord chastens those He loves, and every heavy blow is a love-token meant to draw us from the broken cisterns of this world to the fountain of living waters. Trust not in the mere ending of a lawsuit, but in that finished work which ended all suits against the believer when Jesus cried, “It is finished.”

Consider the deeper meaning of your request. You ask for a court case to be resolved, but the final judgment that matters is the one before the throne of Christ. He is able to save to the uttermost all who come to God by Him, for He ever lives to make intercession. Do not fix your hope on an earthly ruling alone; entrust the outcome to the One who has all judgment and yet intercedes with the Father continually. If you seek deliverance from demons, know that true freedom comes by denying ungodliness and worldly lusts. Covetousness, soft living, carelessness in hearing the word, these are idols as surely as any pagan image. With what zeal the faithful turned from graven idols, with such zeal turn from every sin. The demons are driven back when the soul clings to Christ alone.
For those around her who need salvation, understand that they are like the sick who revile the physician, not knowing their own peril. Do not be discouraged. Your patient endurance of affliction, shared with Christ’s sufferings, may become the very means of their comfort and life. The same trial that chokes one like the Red Sea waters becomes salvation and glory to another who trusts in God. Now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation. Do not delay. Pray for them, for prayer joined with holy living works mightily. Let nothing worldly possess your heart. The real center of your prayer is the name you ended with: Jesus Christ. That name carries all authority, and it is the only refuge for every request you have lifted up. When you ask for a court case to be resolved, remember that God’s ultimate work is not merely to adjust our circumstances but to bring us to the point of salvation. The outcome of any legal matter is in His hands, but His deeper purpose is always to draw people to Himself. Do not miss that purpose in the waiting.

Focus less on the work of demons and more on the victory of the Deliverer Himself. Pray that the power of God would flood every dark corner of that life, so that when the enemy tries to return, he finds it fully inhabited by the light of Christ.
