We come before the throne of grace with this heartfelt request, lifting up every concern to the Lord our God, who is mighty to save and able to restore. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We pray for the clearing of obstacles and restoration, but we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). While we long for things to return to how they were in 2020, we trust that the Lord is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask that His will be done above our own desires, and that He would give wisdom and peace as we navigate these circumstances.

For those in who may not yet know Christ, we intercede on their behalf, asking that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel and that they would turn to Jesus for salvation. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). If there are legal battles or convictions they are facing, we ask that You, Lord, would intervene according to Your justice and mercy. We rebuke every spirit of fear, accusation, and condemnation in Jesus’ name, and we pray that truth and righteousness would prevail.

We take authority over every demonic memory, sound, word, and title that has been tormenting you. The Bible declares that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke every demonic spirit and force that has sought to oppress or harass you, for Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). We command every unclean spirit to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We pray for complete deliverance and healing of your mind, that you would be renewed in the spirit of your mind and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth (Ephesians 4:23-24).

For the two individuals in ### and those connected to their lives, we lift them up to You, Lord. If they do not know You, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). We pray that they would hear the Word of God and respond in faith, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (Romans 10:17). We also pray for their protection, that You would surround them with Your angels and guard them from all evil (Psalm 91:11).

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would break every chain of the past and set the captives free. We declare that if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36). We pray for a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit, that You would pour out Your love, joy, and peace into every area of life. Help us to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for us, and to live as children of light, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in all we do (Galatians 5:22-23).

We trust You, Lord, to work all things for good, even when we cannot see the full picture. Strengthen our faith, and help us to wait patiently on You, knowing that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). We surrender our desires, our fears, and our struggles to You, and we ask that You would be glorified in every situation.

We hear the weight of what you’re carrying, the longing for a season that felt clearer, the torment of sounds and words that replay against your will, and the deep desire to see people you care about encounter Christ. All of it matters, and we’re holding it with you in prayer.

When unwanted memories and phrases loop through our minds, they can feel like an enemy’s siege, not just a quirk of the brain. We’ve seen how persistent such intrusions can be, and we don’t take it lightly. You’re not weak for wanting them gone; you’re reaching for the freedom Jesus promises. In the ministry of deliverance, we often find that healing comes best in the company of mature believers who can pray with you directly, renounce what’s unholy, and help you fill that space with peace. So if you haven’t yet, we’d encourage you to sit down with a pastor or a trusted prayer team. You don’t have to battle the noise alone, and that kind of personal, Spirit-led ministry is safe ground for what you’re experiencing.

For those court cases and for the salvation of people in that town and those two men and their circles, we join you in asking God to move for their eternal good. We won’t pretend to know why this season feels so far from 2020, but we do know that God hasn’t loosened His grip on you or on them.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who feels chased by old memories and oppressive words. Shut the doors that need to be shut, and flood their mind with Your quiet presence. Surround them with wise, gentle believers who can stand with them in Your authority until the torment lifts. We ask for the salvation of those they named: draw them, open their hearts, even use their circumstances to lead them to You. And for the court cases, we pray for just and merciful outcomes, for every tangled thing to be resolved in ways that point to Your hand. Give our friend daily courage to keep walking toward wholeness, one step at a time. In Jesus’ name.

The prayer lifted before us carries a note of longing for a return to what was, a cry for deliverance from icy circumstances and tormenting memories. It is right to bring such things to the throne of grace, yet let us be watchful that our desire is not fixed upon a mere year or outward ease, but upon the Deliverer Himself. The Egypt of our sorrows is not to be preferred above the wilderness where God leads us, even if that wilderness holds trials unknown in ###. Jehovah brought forth His people, not to return them to the brick-kilns, but to lead them to a land flowing with milk and honey, though by a path of His own choosing. When He clears the ice, He will make a way, but it may be a new way, not the old. Trust Him for the deliverance, but leave the shape of it in His gracious hand.

Now, concerning the tormenting memories of music and words, which you cry out against as demonic. This is no small grief, for the archers of recollection can shoot sorely at the soul when it would gladly drink the waters of peace. Yet what saith the Scripture? "Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." The noise of those archers may be loud, but the Deliverer's voice is louder still. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and that deliverance reaches even to the haunting echoes of past sin. You cannot silence them by your own strength, but the blood of the Lamb slain speaks a better word. When the accuser brings forth his music of condemnation, let the gracious word of the Lord be your song: "I have found a ransom!" The clock of mercy struck the hour of your deliverance at Calvary, and those memories have no more dominion over you unless you grant it. Declare His works instead of rehearsing the old tunes of the pit.

As for the souls in that distant place and the two men in ###, your heart does well to plead for their salvation. We are taught that deliverance is of the Lord, yet it is accomplished through human instrumentality. Your prayer is an arrow of the Lord's deliverance, shot by the Spirit's strength from the bow of faith. Who knows but that the Lord will be gracious to them, delivering them from going down to the pit, for He has found a ransom? Do not doubt His power to save to the uttermost, nor to work in their court cases and convictions according to His sovereign will. He can make even Esau fall upon Jacob's neck and kiss him. When the Holy Spirit makes rare music in their hearts, the chains will fall. Continue to seek the Lord for them, but let your hope be anchored not in a dismissal of earthly charges, but in the eternal acquittal signed in the Redeemer's blood.

I close with this word: let your deliverance, when it comes, make you one who declares the works of the Lord. The believer's conduct after affliction is not silence, but testimony. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but you shall not die, but live. Not live to pine for ###, but to proclaim that He has brought you up out of the horrible pit and out of the miry clay. The sweetest music you can ever hear is not a song of the world forgotten, but the gracious voice saying, "Deliver him! I have found a ransom." Let that be the song upon your tongue, and you will find the icy bands of the past melting before the warmth of His love.

You cry out for deliverance from the memories and the sounds that torment you, yet you also ask for everything to return to the way it was. Understand this: to deliver you from the curse and promote you to sonship, these things none could compass but Christ. But what if you are delivered from one demonic memory, yet remain soft and unmanly in other parts of virtue? No one part is sufficient for our salvation, but there is required first a careful hearing, and a continual recollection; then fortitude, then contempt of riches, and deliverance from all worldly things.

You ask for the ice to be cleared and a return to an earlier time as though a single blow could fell the tree. It is not that one blow, but the ten which made the last successful. How many, who have heard ten times and remained insensible, have afterwards at one hearing been converted! Or rather, not at one hearing; for though they seemed insensible, they gained something, and afterwards showed all at once abundant fruit. For those in that place whose salvation you seek, pray on. Even when physicians have applied many remedies and no benefit is perceived, afterwards some one comes in and effects an entire cure. Yet it is not the work of him alone, but of these who have already reduced the disorder.

But for this rage against the sounds and words and title that haunt you, such a one is in no respect different from a demoniac, for he brings upon himself a self-chosen madness, and makes his mind a sewer. You ask for their deliverance and for convictions to be dismissed, but consider those who were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Why, when it was open to them to live, did they not choose it? Were they not evidently looking for a better life?

Seek the better resurrection for yourself and for those two men. For the promise was of old time made for these objects: deliverance from evil and supply of good. That we might receive adoption as sons, He has given us the Spirit. Be no longer a child tossed back to a mere year on the calendar, but put on Christ. If love for the eternal good be absent, all else is no great advantage.

Your heart’s cry reaches the throne of the One who still silences storms and casts out darkness with a word. You’re asking for deliverance from memories tied to music, sounds and words that have become tangled with demonic influence. Know this: Jesus dealt directly with such things when He walked the earth. Evil spirits shrieked as they fled at His command. They know His authority, and that authority hasn’t withered. He can hush every voice the enemy used to embed fear or filth in your past. I pray that now, in His name, those oppressive recollections are broken clean off. No lingering sound, no lyric, no title will hold you captive any longer, because the Son has set you free and you are free indeed. Let your mind be filled instead with songs of deliverance and the quiet certainty that He has removed your transgressions as far as the east is from the west.

For those you long to see saved, the ones in that particular place, the two men you mentioned, and everyone connected to them, remember the glimpse we’re given of heaven: a multitude no one can number, from every nation and language, crying out, “Salvation belongs to our God and the Lamb.” The Lord is not willing that any should perish. I join you in asking Him to pursue them relentlessly, to shatter whatever demonic blindness holds their minds, and to bring them into that redeemed throng. If their court cases are tangled in darkness or manipulation, we ask that every unjust charge be dismissed and that true justice roll down. But more than legal relief, we pray their hearts are turned. Sometimes the very pressure they feel is God’s severe mercy, meant to make them look up at last.

Regarding the ice, whether it’s a literal frozen landscape or a season of life that’s gone rigid and cold, I ask the Lord to breathe warmth and movement where you’ve seen only a hardened standstill. However, be cautious about pinning hope on a return to the way things were in a particular year. The path of looking back can become a turning aside from where God is leading now, and its end is often grief. He doesn’t rewind time; He resurrects. He makes all things new, not all things 2020 again. May He clear what’s blocking your way, but may He also give you grace to trust Him with a future you haven’t lived yet. His presence is your safest ground, far safer than any memory.

Finally, as you battle the noise of past fears and the pit of despair that seems to yawn open, cling to this: He descended into the deepest abyss to break its power and rose with the keys in His hand. The demonic forces that once tormented you are already defeated. They may roar, but they’re bound by a chain they cannot snap. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He is near, and He will carry you through.
