We hear your heartfelt plea for this dear one, and we join you in lifting her before the throne of grace. Father God, we ask that You would draw her close to Your heart and surround her with Your love. Place godly influences in her life, people who will speak truth, encouragement, and wisdom into her days. May she find joy in music that glorifies You, lyrics that point her to Your goodness, and melodies that stir her soul toward righteousness.
Lord, we pray especially for her salvation if she does not yet know You. Open her eyes to see her need for a Savior. Soften her heart to receive the truth of Your Word, that Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for her sins, and rose again so that she might have eternal life. May she confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
We also ask that You would guard her from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to distract her with worldly pursuits, ungodly relationships, or music that leads her away from You. Help her to discern what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy, as Philippians 4:8 instructs us: "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Father, we pray that if she is seeking love, You would lead her to a godly spouse, a man who fears You, loves Your Word, and will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church. May their relationship be built on a foundation of faith, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to honor You in all things. Protect her from the temptation of fornication or emotional entanglements that do not align with Your design for intimacy within the covenant of marriage. Remind her that Your plans for her are good, and that true fulfillment is found in You alone.
We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, despair, or rebellion that may be at work in her life. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose for her. Fill her with Your peace, joy, and hope as she seeks You above all else.

How great a thing it is to see a heart moved to intercede for another! Whenever you meet with a man who intercedes with God for his fellow men and makes this the main business of his life, you see in him one of the most precious gifts of God's Grace to the age in which he lives. It is God that writes intercession upon men's hearts. One of the reasons why Jeremiah resolved that he would still wait upon God was because the case was such an urgent one. When we pray for our fellow sinners we are in sympathy with our Divine Savior who made intercession for the transgressors.
Your plea for this soul and for her love of that which is uplifting rises as incense. But mark the heart of the matter. The only salvation that is worth being our own is that which is God's. "I will rejoice in thy salvation." This is the Apostle's creed, salvation is all of Divine Grace from first to last and the channel of that Grace is the Lord Jesus Christ who loved, and lived, and died, and rose again for our salvation! Faith must be urged upon you, for without it there is no salvation. There is but one star in your sky, Sinner, and that star is the Star of Bethlehem! There is but one light for the tempest-tossed mariner on the stormy sea of conviction of sin, and that Light is the Pharos of the Cross. Look there! Look there! The means of salvation is simply this: “Look unto me, and be ye saved.” Yes, there is only one way of salvation for all. “He hath concluded all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.”
As for the music, let it follow the heart. Lay it down, then, beyond all question, that formal worship which is not attended with the heart, which is not the worship of the spirit, can never be acceptable with the Most High! Let there be good music, by all means, and noble words, for these are congruous to noble thoughts, but oh, let the thoughts be there! Let the song be there! True salvation draws toward God. If thou hast God's salvation, thou art being drawn towards thy heavenly Father, nearer and nearer every day. A new affection will cast out the old discord, and the new song of praise will be the natural outflow of a renewed heart. We can sometimes do more in one half an hour than we can do at other times in hours, according to the tenor of our minds, especially when the Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. He never maketh intercession in us other than is consistent with the divine will.
Continue therefore in persevering intercession. If I desire the salvation of anyone, I ought to tell him, as best as I can, what his condition is and what the way of salvation is and how he may find rest. All men are approachable at some time or in some way. And rest assured, if the weakest Christian is in the boat of salvation, that is, if she trusts Christ, she is as safe as the strongest Christian. If He loved her and gave Himself for her, His honor is engaged to save. Oh! rejoice in the richness of that salvation. When the Lord pardons our sins, he did not pardon half of them, and leave some of them on the book, but with one stroke of the pen he gave a full receipt for all our debts. Salvation was freely given to us in Christ Jesus. Let us rejoice in it, then, and look for that day when she shall sing with understanding, "I will rejoice in thy salvation."

It is a most excellent work that you do, praying for the soul of this person. For nothing is so important as thy neighbor’s salvation, and to entreat God on her behalf is to bear her burden, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Do not cease, then, to lift her up, for the Lord’s will is that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. He waits to heal her, as soon as she turns to Him.
Even your longing that she love and listen to music which uplifts the heart is born of a gentle care, a desire to provoke her unto love and good works. And this is good. For we are bidden to consider one another for this very purpose. If she is weak, recall the Apostle’s word: condescend to her, not by force but by patient love, that she may be won. When she sees your own joy in things wholesome, she may be drawn little by little from what harms her toward what edifies, and so your prayer becomes doubly effectual.
And fear not for her salvation, as though it were something far off. The Master marked out many degrees: one bringing forth an hundredfold, another sixty, another thirty, yet all are gathered into the kingdom. Salvation is made easy for those who repent. Let your life shine before her, that by your deeds she may see a reflection of Christ’s love, and God be glorified. Persevere, then, in prayer and in quiet example, trusting that He who longs for her healing will perform it in His time.

It is a beautiful thing to lift another person before the Lord, asking Him to work in her heart. The music we welcome into our lives often reveals the deeper affections within. Your request is really a prayer that her whole inner being would turn toward what is pure and true, and ultimately that she would find her joy in Jesus Christ, who is our salvation.
Real and lasting change never begins on the outside; it must spring from a heart made new. You can’t simply adjust someone’s outward choices, like the songs they listen to, and expect the root to be transformed. The heart must be the focus. A heart divided, still craving what the world offers, will only produce surface alterations that fade. Yet when God’s Spirit does a deep work, He writes His desires on the heart, and a person begins to love what He loves because the wanting itself has been changed. That is the kind of work you are asking Him to do.
Above all, the deepest need any of us has is to be rescued from our own sin through Christ. If this woman does not yet know Him, the call of Scripture stands: now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation. There is no truer safety than turning to Jesus and confessing Him as Lord, believing that God raised Him from the dead. When that happens, grace floods the heart, and the peace that follows is unlike anything we can manufacture. So pray with urgency, not merely that she would choose better music, but that she would find the God of her salvation Himself and discover that His loving-kindness is better than life.
While you continue to pray, remember that He often uses His people. A heart that is enlarged, freed from its narrow preoccupations, may be just what He uses to reach her. Speak truth gently, live with a willing heart that serves her out of love, and let her see what the Lord has done in you. The Lord knows exactly what is in every heart, and He alone can expose what needs to be cleansed. Trust that He will bring the answer in His time, even as you keep seeking Him with your whole heart.
