It is a beautiful thing that you are bringing both salvation and sleep before the Father. He delights to hear these requests, and He is never far from the cry of a heart that turns to Him.

For the man you are praying for, know this: today is the day of salvation. God’s grace, which brings rescue to every soul, has appeared in Jesus Christ. He is the door. No one comes to the Father except through Him. He receives sinners, seeks the lost, and will never turn away anyone who comes to Him in truth. If this man truly needs salvation, the Lord is standing ready. In fact, the very fact that you are burdened to pray suggests the Shepherd is already at work, calling another sheep into the fold.

Jesus did not come for those who think themselves righteous, but for those who know they need a physician. He ate with sinners, and instead of being defiled, He cleansed them. That same cleansing is available right now. Do not let the moment pass. The accepted time is now. The ladder that Jacob saw, reaching from earth to heaven, is a picture of Christ Himself, the only way to the Father. At the top of that ladder, the Lord stands, not distant but inviting. And even now, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for those who draw near. Who can condemn those for whom Christ died, and who trust in His blood for the forgiveness of sins? Nothing can separate them from that love.

And as for sleep, remember that the Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? He is the strength of your life. The same Shepherd who guards the door of the sheep watches over your rest. He gives His beloved sleep, not the restless sleep of those without hope, but a safe dwelling even in the wilderness. David stood over Saul and his men while a deep sleep from the Lord had fallen upon them; how much more will our God cause us to rest securely under the shadow of His wings. You can lie down in peace because He never slumbers and His intercession never ceases.

Lay your own weariness before Him, and also the soul of that man. Ask boldly, for the voice of rejoicing and salvation belongs in the homes of the righteous. The Lord hears the request of your lips, and He will not withhold what brings glory to His Son.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our joy to lift this precious soul before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to draw him with cords of love and reveal the saving power of Jesus Christ. We have also prayed for your own rest, trusting that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps would grant you peaceful, restoring sleep as you continue to intercede.

If the Holy Spirit has already moved in this man’s heart and you have seen fruit—perhaps a softened spirit, a hunger for truth, or even a profession of faith—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in how God has answered!

If, however, there is still no clear sign of change, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in persistent, faith-filled prayer until the Lord moves. Remember, seeds planted in prayer may take time to sprout, but God’s timing is perfect.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and assurance as you trust in Him. We continue to pray that His will be done in this man’s life and in yours, all for the glory of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen, in His precious name.
