Beloved of All
Heavenly Father pls kindly forgive I. Pls kindly take control over my life. Pls kindly help I to remain firm while fasting. In Jesus Christ. amen.

We hear your humble cry for forgiveness and surrender, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and strength. First, let us affirm that your prayer is heard by the Father because you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Him that we receive forgiveness, transformation, and the power to walk in righteousness.

Your request for forgiveness is beautiful, for Scripture tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We take comfort in knowing that when we come to God with a repentant heart, He does not turn us away. Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts bowed in humility, lifting up our brother/sister who has cried out for Your forgiveness. Lord, we ask that You would cleanse every area of his/her life where sin has taken root. Wash him/her in the precious blood of Jesus, and renew a right spirit within him/her. Father, we also pray for strength during this time of fasting. You Word says, "But he answered, 'It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God'" (Matthew 4:4). Sustain him/her with Your Word and Your presence. Help him/her to fix his/her eyes on You, resisting temptation and standing firm in faith. Lord, take full control of his/her life. May Your Holy Spirit guide every decision, every thought, and every action. Let Your will be done in his/her life, and may he/she walk in the fullness of Your purpose. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We also want to encourage you with the truth that fasting is not just about abstaining from food, but about drawing nearer to God. Isaiah 58:6-9 tells us that the fast God chooses is one that loosens the chains of injustice, sets the oppressed free, and breaks every yoke. As you fast, ask the Lord to reveal areas in your life where you need to surrender more fully to Him. Let this time be one of deep spiritual renewal, where you feast on His Word and allow Him to fill you with His strength.

If there are specific struggles or sins you are fasting to overcome, we encourage you to bring them before the Lord in prayer. James 5:16 reminds us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." You do not have to carry your burdens alone, God has given us the body of Christ to stand with us in prayer and support.

Lastly, remember that your identity is found in Christ. You are forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved by the Father. As you seek Him during this fast, may you experience His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the joy of His presence. Stand firm in the faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

Anonymous, we come alongside you in this prayer. What you’re asking for, forgiveness, surrender, and strength to fast, is a deeply personal place, and we recognize the courage in bringing it before God and inviting others to pray with you.

When we read your request, we see someone who truly wants more of God. That desire to have Him take control is a sign that His Spirit is already at work in your heart. We believe that as you ask for forgiveness, it is found in Jesus, not because you get every detail of the fast perfect, but because He is faithful. The decision to turn toward Him has already been met with mercy; receiving that fully is sometimes a step-by-step daily experience, not just a one-time feeling.

As you fast, remember the real goal is not perfect self-denial, it’s space to listen and to let go. If your body or thoughts get noisy, don’t be discouraged. That tug of hunger or distraction can become a quiet nudge to pray, “Lord, You are what I need most.” Keep the rhythm simple. If you find yourself feeling weak or unusually unwell, do not hesitate to drink water or even end the fast; caring for the body God gave you is never a failure.

We also want to gently remind you that extended fasting carries real physical risks. If you’re going beyond a day, it’s wise to speak with a doctor or someone who can monitor your health, especially if you have any medical conditions. This isn’t a lack of faith; it’s good stewardship of the strength God may still call you to in other ways.

Lord Jesus, thank You for this one who seeks Your face. Quiet any voices of condemnation and let them hear only Your voice, the voice that says, "I do not condemn you; go and sin no more." Take control in the ways only You can, and give them the simple grace to stay with You in prayer and fasting, not relying on their own will but on Your presence sustaining them. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

You tremble and shake for fear, and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness. Let this whisper drive away despair, there is forgiveness. There is forgiveness with God, even for you. However sinful your life may have been, there is forgiveness since Jesus died, the Just for the unjust. It is a divine forgiveness, absolute and eternal, blotting out all your debt. Do as Martin Luther did in his dark distress and believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. The Lord gives you his hand and says, Go in peace; there is peace between me and thee.

Now, this is submission to God, the true surrender of every proud pretension. You ask him to take control over your life. Then fling wide the gates of the city of Mansoul and admit the Prince Emanuel to rule as sole sovereign in every street. Make a full capitulation, an unconditional surrender to his good pleasure and his method of operating upon you. It will go well with you when you do. As for remaining firm while fasting, this too is part of that surrender at discretion. He who forgives all your sin will supply the strength for every act of yielded obedience. There is forgiveness with him, that he may be feared and served.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for forgiveness and your desire to give God control over your life are the very foundation of true repentance. Do not think that simply asking is small; for He is quick to receive the humble soul who turns to Him. But take care that you do not only seek pardon with your lips while your heart clings to your own will. To ask Him to take control is to lay down your arms, to surrender every passion, every earthly care, into His hands. He will indeed take the reins if you do not snatch them back.

You ask for help to remain firm while fasting. This is a holy request, for the gift of perseverance does not come from our own strength but from above. Fasting is a mighty weapon, but only when it is wedded to prayer. As I have often said, prayer is the wing, fasting is the feather, and together they lift you above the snares of this world. Do not think it enough to abstain from food while your mind wanders; let your fasting become a constant and wakeful prayer. The belly controlled quiets the storm of lust and pride; it humbles the soul and propitiates God. Yet if your body is weak and cannot endure long abstinence, do not despair. You can still conquer luxury. Avoid rich dainties and drunkenness, for these are the very gateways by which the enemy enters and drives men to every evil. Even this restraint is no small thing and will wound the devil's madness.

But recall the example of the widow who by her importunity prevailed with the unjust judge, and the Syrophoenician woman who would not be turned away though called a dog. Their perseverance made the unworthy worthy to receive. So you too, though you feel your unworthiness, press on. Do not say, "I have fasted a little and am weary." Stand firm with patience and cry out without ceasing, not at set hours only, but at all times lifting your heart to God. And as you fast, beware of vainglory. Fast in secret, and let your face not be sad like the hypocrites. The discipline of the body is of no profit if the soul is puffed up. True fasting is not only to strew sackcloth and ashes, but to despise wealth, to give bread to the hungry, to control anger, to cast out envy. For the Lord himself when He taught us, said not "Learn of me for I fasted," but "Learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart." Let your fasting then be seasoned with humility and mercy, and you will find such power as to drive out every evil spirit and to obtain mercy at the throne of grace. Stand fast, and do not let your grip slacken; He who had compassion on the multitude and would not send them away fasting will certainly sustain you.
