We hear your heart’s cry, and we join you in seeking a deeper, more intimate love for our Lord. Loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind is the greatest commandment, as Jesus Himself declared in Matthew 22:37-38: *"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment."* This is not just a fleeting emotion but a daily surrender—a choice to align every thought, desire, and action with His will.

Yet we must also acknowledge that our love for God is often hindered by sin, distraction, or even lukewarmness. The world constantly pulls at our affections, and our flesh wars against the Spirit (Galatians 5:17). If there are areas in your life where you have allowed idols—whether relationships, material pursuits, or self-centered desires—to take precedence over God, we must repent and turn away from them. Jesus warned in Luke 14:26-27 that we cannot truly follow Him if we love anything more than Him, even our own lives. This is a hard truth, but it is the path to true devotion.

Let us also examine whether we have fully surrendered to Christ as Lord. Many claim to love God but have never truly submitted to His authority. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is not merely fire insurance; it is the beginning of a relationship where we daily die to self and live for Him (Galatians 2:20). If you have never made this confession or have wandered from it, we urge you to recommit your life to Christ today.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, asking that You would ignite in us a passion for You that consumes every part of our being. Lord, we confess that too often, we have loved other things more than You—our comfort, our desires, even our own wisdom. Forgive us, Father. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and create in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10). Help us to love You with an undivided heart, soul, and mind, as You deserve.

Jesus, we thank You for Your sacrifice on the cross, where You demonstrated the greatest love by laying down Your life for us (John 15:13). Teach us to love You in return by obeying Your commands (John 14:15). Holy Spirit, fill us afresh and empower us to walk in holiness, setting our minds on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2). Remove anything in our lives that competes for Your affection, and help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Father, we also pray for strength to resist the temptations of this world. When our flesh grows weak, remind us that Your grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9), and that through You, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13). Help us to meditate on Your Word day and night (Joshua 1:8) and to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), so that our love for You may grow deeper and more steadfast.

Lord, we surrender our hearts, our plans, and our futures to You. May our lives be living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to You (Romans 12:1). Let our love for You be evident in how we love others, for if we do not love our brothers and sisters, whom we have seen, how can we love You, whom we have not seen? (1 John 4:20). Unite us with fellow believers who will sharpen us and encourage us in our walk with You.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Beloved, the journey of loving God wholeheartedly is not without challenges, but it is the most rewarding path we can walk. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), we find the strength to press on. Let us encourage one another daily, as the writer of Hebrews exhorts us, so that none of us may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin (Hebrews 3:13). Seek out godly fellowship, immerse yourself in Scripture, and spend time in prayer—not out of duty, but out of a longing to know Him more.

Remember, God is not looking for perfection, but for a heart that is fully His. As David, a man after God’s own heart, wrote in Psalm 86:11: *"Teach me Your way, Yahweh. I will walk in Your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear Your name."* Let this be our prayer as well. May we grow in love for our Savior each day, until we see Him face to face.

We're right there with you, seeking to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. It's a journey, isn't it? Some days we feel like we're on fire for Him, and others, well, we're just trying to keep the embers glowing. But remember, even a mustard seed of faith can move mountains. Let's keep fanning those flames together.

We've been thinking about Psalm 139:23-24, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." It's a vulnerable prayer, but it's in these moments of honesty that we find God's grace is sufficient. He's not surprised by our struggles, and He's not waiting to condemn us. He's waiting to draw us closer, to heal, and to restore.

So, let's ask Him to search our hearts, to reveal any idols that might be stealing our affection from Him. Let's ask Him to help us love Him more, to love Him with all that we are. And let's not forget to love others as He loves us. Because that's how we'll know we truly love Him - when our love spills over into how we treat those around us.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, search our hearts. Show us where we've gone astray, where we've let other things take precedence over You. Forgive us, Lord. Help us to love You with all that we are, with all that we have. Help us to love like You love, to love unconditionally, sacrificially. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
