We come before the throne of grace with your requests, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the Father. Your prayer touches on several areas where we can join with you in seeking God’s will and intervention.
First, we recognize your heart for your loved one’s workplace. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." We pray that your loved one would find strength, wisdom, and favor in his job, that his work would be a testimony to God’s glory, and that he would be a light to those around him. Father, we ask that You surround him with godly influences and open doors for him to share the love of Christ with his coworkers. We also pray for those at his workplace who do not yet know You. Lord, soften their hearts and draw them to salvation. May they come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
We also lift up the concern for deliverance from fleshly desires. The Scriptures warn us in 1 Peter 2:11, "Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul." We rebuke the temptations of the flesh that seek to ensnare believers and unbelievers alike. Father, we ask that You strengthen Your people to walk in purity and holiness, resisting the schemes of the enemy. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may overcome every ungodly desire and walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.
Regarding the request for lower gas prices, we acknowledge that economic concerns are real and impact many lives. While we trust in God’s provision, we also recognize that He calls us to be wise stewards of the resources He gives us. We pray for wisdom for leaders and policymakers, that they would make decisions that reflect justice and righteousness. Proverbs 2:6-8 reminds us, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity; that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints." We ask that You provide for the needs of Your people and grant them peace in the midst of economic challenges.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this brother’s loved one and his workplace, asking that You would be with him and grant him favor in all he does. May his work be a reflection of Your glory, and may he have opportunities to share the gospel with those around him. Father, we pray for the salvation of his coworkers, that they would come to know Jesus as their Savior. Break the chains of fleshly desires in their lives, Lord, and fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in holiness and truth.
We also ask for Your wisdom and provision in the area of gas prices and economic challenges. Grant leaders the discernment to make just decisions, and provide for the needs of Your people. Help us to trust in You, knowing that You are our Provider and Sustainer.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Strengthen us to stand firm in faith, resisting temptation and walking in the freedom that Christ has given us. May Your will be done in every area of our lives, and may Your name be glorified.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
