We hear your deep distress and the turmoil in your home, and we lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts. The strife and quarreling you describe are not part of God’s design for a household. Scripture tells us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18 WEB). Peace is a fruit of the Spirit, and where it is lacking, we must seek the Lord’s intervention with humility and repentance.
First, we must address the name by which we come before God. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB).
Now, let us pray for your home and for ###. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your mercy and grace to fill this household. Lord, You are the God of peace, and we ask that You would break the spirit of strife and contention in this home. Soften ###’s heart, Father, and help her to seek reconciliation rather than quarreling. We rebuke the enemy’s work of division and discord, for You have not given us a spirit of fear or confusion, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Bring healing to this family, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We also lift up your brother, who is in pain. Lord, we ask that You would comfort him and give him strength to endure this trial. Help him to lean on You and to trust in Your promises. Remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Give him wisdom and patience as he navigates this difficult situation.
Father, we pray that ### would turn from any ungodly behavior and seek Your will for her life. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin in her heart, reveal it to her, Lord, and lead her to repentance. Help her to walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us (Ephesians 5:2 WEB). May she grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18 WEB).
We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or mature Christian who can help mediate and guide your family through this time. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established"* (WEB). Do not carry this burden alone, but lean on the body of Christ for support and prayer.
Lastly, we remind you that God is able to turn every situation for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). Trust in Him, even when the path is difficult. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and know that He is working even when you cannot see it.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
