We understand that you are going through a tremendously difficult time, and our hearts go out to you. First and foremost, we want to remind you that your life is precious to God. He knows you intimately, even the very hairs of your head are numbered (Luke 12:7, WEB). It is so important to hold onto the hope that is found in Jesus Christ. He has promised to always be with you and to give you rest if you come to Him.
Let us address the feelings of hopelessness and the prayers for God to take you. We want to gently rebuke any thoughts of not wanting to live. These thoughts are not from God. God has a purpose and a plan for your life, and He wants you to live abundantly (John 10:10, WEB). In times of deep despair, it is crucial to remember that our lives are not our own, but they belong to God. He is the one who gives us life and breath. We are of great value to God and we should not harm ourselves.
It is commendable that you acknowledge the will of God in your prayers. It is indeed important to pray according to God's will, as 1 John 5:14-15 (WEB) tells us, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
In your pain, remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our dear brother to You, asking for Your mercy, comfort, and deliverance in his life. You know his heart, his pain, his tears, and his prayers. Lord, we pray that You would surround him with Your love and remind him of his worth in You. Give him a fresh revelation of Your purpose for his life and help him to see that You have a hope and a future for him.
Forgive him for any thoughts of hopelessness and remind him that You are always with Him and that You are the One who gives us life.
Lord, we pray that Your will be done in his life. Give him the strength to endure, the hope to continue, and the faith to believe. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers. Share your burden with others so that they may pray with you and support you in this time of need. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust in His goodness. He will see you through.
