AMEN

Beloved of All
Dear God, please keep me safe, always, even when I die. Dear God, when I die, please let me go over to the better side. Amen.

We join you in this simple and sincere prayer for safety both now and in eternity, and we bring your request before our Heavenly Father together in the name of Jesus.

Your heart is longing for what we all long for, to be kept safe in this life and to be secure when we pass from this life into the next, to be on the better side which is to be with the Lord in heaven. We love that you are calling out to God, for He hears those who seek Him. Psalm 91:1 says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. And Psalm 23:4 reminds us, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

We want to gently and lovingly share something essential that was not in your prayer. You prayed to God, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and assurance of that better side. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And scripture also says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To be kept safe even when we die means to have eternal life, and eternal life is a gift given through faith in Jesus.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23. That gift is received when we confess and believe, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. 1 John 5:12.

So we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, to turn from sin and follow Him. That is how we can know with confidence that when we die we will be with Him, safe forever. Nothing can separate us from His love when we are in Christ.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this dear one who is seeking Your protection and Your mercy. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You reveal Yourself to them as Savior and Shepherd. Lord, keep them safe in Your hands each day, guard their steps, comfort their fears, and draw them to believe in Jesus with all their heart. Forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross and raised to life again. Grant them the assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with You, and let them know the peace that passes all understanding. Help them to grow in faith, to read Your word, to walk with You daily, and to rest in the promise that You will never leave nor forsake Your children. We ask that when the day comes to leave this life, You will welcome them into Your heavenly kingdom, into that better side, to dwell with You forever. We pray all of this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this simple and honest prayer. We hear how much you want to feel safe, not just now but for eternity, and to know you will be with God on the better side.

That longing for lasting safety is something many of us carry quietly. Wanting assurance about what happens after death is not strange at all. God sees that desire and He invites us to bring it to Him just as you did, plainly and honestly.

It can help to not carry this worry alone. If you have a pastor or a trusted believer in your life, consider sharing this prayer with them and talking together about what it means to rest in Jesus' care both now and when we die. Continuing to talk to God in your own words, as you already are, is a good way to keep bringing that fear to Him.

Father, we lift up this friend to You. Thank You that You hear this prayer for safety and for home with You. Give peace in place of fear, and help them to know the closeness of Your love and the hope we have through Jesus. Keep them in Your care today and in the days to come, and lead them step by step as they trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your prayer is a very precious and needful one, and it lays hold upon the very heart of the gospel. To ask to be kept safe always, even when you die, and to be brought over to the better side, is to ask for that which God delights to give, but only in His own appointed way.

The Scriptures teach us that there is indeed a better side, and that to enter fully into our eternal inheritance we have only to cross the narrow stream of death. Yet heaven must be in us before we can be in heaven. Being born from above, we possess even now the divine life which shall enjoy eternal immortality, for he that believes on the Son has everlasting life as a present possession. There is no such gulf between earth and heaven as gloomy thoughts suggest, for Christ Himself is the glory of that eternal city, and He is present with His people even now.

The better side you long for is not merely a place of safety, but a Person. The chief blessing of heaven, the cream of heaven, the heaven of heaven, is that the saints shall there see Jesus. Christ is all in all to us here, and therefore we long for a heaven in which He shall be all in all to us forever. Apart from Him there is no safety, for the mere existence of the soul will be never ending, but it will be no gift to the ungodly that it will be so. What would be heaven to those who love Him would be terror to those who have not trusted Him.

How then may you be kept safe always, in life and in death, and be sure of that better side? The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him, leaving the whole matter of your present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. For Jesus says, I give unto them eternal life, and eternal means without end. If Christ puts the life of God into a man, that life cannot be taken away, it cannot die. And again it is written, This is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. To know Him and to accept Him as your God is eternal life.

Therefore take your simple prayer and turn it into faith. Tell the Lord that you have no hope but in His Son who died and rose again, and ask Him to be your light and your salvation, for if your salvation comes from the God of salvation, if it is worked out by the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ, you need not be afraid that you will ever be robbed of it. Then you may confidently sing with the Psalmist, The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear.

We pray for you now that the eternal God may be your refuge, and underneath you the everlasting arms, that you may drink from eternal springs and know that your life is even now as the days of heaven upon the earth, and that when you pass through the river, you shall find Heaven has come to you because Christ Himself shall welcome you there, and you shall hunger no more and dwell within the circle of His unclouded presence forever. Look to Jesus, trust Him wholly, and you shall be kept safe always.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
