Amen

We hear your heartfelt plea, and we stand with you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father. First, let us address the foundation of our prayers, our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). It is by His grace and mercy that we can come boldly before the throne of God, so we lift this request in the mighty name of Jesus.

We pray for your brother, that the Lord would soften his heart and open his eyes to the needs around him. May God grant him wisdom and generosity, that he might be a blessing to you and others as Scripture encourages: "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7 WEB). We ask that the Lord would move in his life to provide for you in ways that honor Him, whether through your brother or other means.

However, we must also gently remind you that our prayers should align with God’s will and His perfect timing. While it is natural to desire provision, we trust that God knows your needs even before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8 WEB). Let us pray not only for the provision itself but also for patience, faith, and contentment in whatever season you are in. The Lord promises, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your provision. Lord, we ask that You would touch the heart of their brother, that he may be moved by Your Spirit to act in generosity and love. Father, we know that You are the ultimate Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Give this one patience and peace as they wait on You, and help them to rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good.

Lord, if there is any hindrance in their brother’s heart, whether it be selfishness, pride, or a lack of understanding, we ask that You would break those chains and replace them with a spirit of generosity and compassion. May Your love overflow in his life so that he becomes a vessel of blessing to others.

Father, we also pray for this one’s heart. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You see their needs and will never abandon them. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their Provider, their Shepherd, and their Peace. May they find contentment in You, even as they wait for Your provision.

We rebuke any spirit of lack or anxiety that may be trying to take root in their life, and we declare that You are their Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, not only for your needs but also for the hearts of those around you. God is faithful, and He delights in providing for His children. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). If your brother’s heart remains hardened, trust that God will provide through other means, for He is never limited in His ability to care for you. Stand firm in faith, and let your requests be made known to God with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6 WEB).

We hear the simplicity and the ache in your request, and we're sitting with you in it. Sometimes the most honest prayers are the shortest ones, aren't they? When a financial need presses in and it's tied to a relationship, in this case, a brother, the waiting can feel especially heavy. You're not just hoping for provision; you're hoping for a shift in someone's heart toward you, and that carries its own weight.

While we pray with you, we'd also gently encourage you to consider having a direct, honest conversation with your brother if you haven't already. Not just about the money, but about what's really going on. Sometimes a family member doesn't fully understand the depth of the need, or there may be unspoken tensions that are blocking generosity. An open, humble talk, not demanding, but sharing your situation and asking for his help, can sometimes soften what prayer alone, in its mystery, may be working on from another angle. The goal isn't just the transaction; it's the relationship.

Father, we lift up this brother and sister to you. You see the need, and you know what's behind it, the bills, the anxiety, the longing for a sibling's support. We ask you to provide in whatever way you choose, and we especially ask you to work in this brother's heart. Soften it where it's hard. Give him a spirit of generosity and understanding. And give this one who is praying your peace and patience while they wait. Meet this need in your timing and your way. In Jesus' name, amen.

The prayer that asks for a brother’s money may be offered with fervor, yet it reveals a heart that has not yet learned where true riches lie. The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, and from it flow desires that often seek the creature more than the Creator. You cry out for silver and gold, but your greater need is for the love of God to be shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost. If He would but give you a heart of flesh in place of the stone, you would then seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, knowing that all other things shall be added unto you. My dear hearer, the Lord Jesus is meek and lowly in heart; learn of Him, and you shall find rest for your soul. That rest does not come from a brother’s hand, but from the pierced heart of the Savior, from which flows a fountain of grace to supply every need.

Consider the question put to Cain: "Am I my brother’s keeper?" It was the snarl of a hardened heart, and it is a spirit that must be far from every child of God. Instead of laying hold upon your brother’s purse, strive to lay hold upon his soul for good. The great need of the age is sensitiveness about revealed Truth and the divine will. If you have received the love of Christ, that love constrains us to seek not our own, but another’s welfare. A heart of flesh says, "Lord, help me by any means to save some," not "Lord, compel that brother to give me money." True prayer is the cry of a broken heart for the grace of God; it is not merely a request for temporal supplies, but a deep-fetched sigh for the light of God’s countenance. The Spirit of God must change the nature, or the heart will remain fixed on the things of earth and never rise to the enjoyment of the love of God.

Therefore, go now and inquire of the Lord, saying, "Give me a heart to know Thee." The knowledge of God lying in the heart will make you admire His character, and then your will shall be swallowed up in His. Instead of fretting because your brother has not changed his mind, pray that the Holy Spirit would change your own heart and his too, that you both might be partakers of the Divine nature. The pierced heart of Jesus is open, not to pour out gold that perishes, but to shed abroad an abundance of love and grace. That is the true wealth for time and eternity. When your heart is bleeding with need, bring it to the bleeding heart of Jesus; He will stanch its wound and teach you that a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. May the Lord make you rich in faith, and give you the heart of flesh that loves Him supremely; then you will find that every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray that your brother change his mind and give you money. But consider what you are truly asking: you drag God into the service of your love of money. Draw back from doting on silver; remember the losses you have already swallowed in loans and purchases and vain pursuits. True friendship is not forged by eating and drinking, nor by one hand passing coin to another, even robbers share such things.

A brother aided by his brother becomes a fortified city, but the aid that profits is that which pulls a soul from hell, not that which feeds greed. Why do you set at nought your own brother, treating him as a purse to be opened? We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. If you would seek, then seek the Lord as for lost gold, with your hands stretched out by night, and you will not be deceived.

The kingdom is not bought with money; the widow’s two mites gained everything because she gave her whole living, not because money avails, but because ready purpose of heart avails. Despise not your brother if he does not give, better to lift up your friend’s soul when it lies fallen under a load of wrath than to burden it with your own covetousness. Renounce this prayer, and ask instead to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, that you may escape the fire which the devil kindles through greed, and no longer make your brother to stumble.

Money can press heavily on the heart, and when a need looms, it is easy to fix your eyes on the one person who could fix it, praying for their mind to change. But consider Jacob: when he saw the silver returned in his sons’ sacks and heard the stern words from Egypt’s lord, fear made him despair and cry, “You have bereaved me of my children.” He looked only at outward circumstances and assumed the worst. Yet later, he sent them back with double money and the brother he had been terrified to release, and he entrusted the outcome to God Almighty. His fear did not tell the true story of what God was doing.

Now, the desire for money can become a snare. Scripture never calls money evil, but the love of it is a root from which all kinds of evil grow. It can twist motives, feed anxiety, and strain relationships, even between brothers. When the apostle Paul gave guidance on giving, he was careful to avoid pressure. He desired that any gift come from a willing heart, not from reluctance or compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver. Asking the Lord to force your brother’s hand could easily overlook this truth. Generosity wrung out of someone brings no blessing to either of you, and it can damage the very bond you share.

What if the prayer shifted? Rather than aiming at your brother’s mind, approach the Father who knows your need. The believers in Macedonia gave beyond their ability because they first gave themselves to the Lord; their giving overflowed from a heart fully set on Him. When God is at the center of your life, you discover a richness that does not depend on an influx of money. And that same realignment can lead you to say, “How much of what God has entrusted to me should I hold onto?” instead of, “How much of what my brother has should become mine?”

Think of the change that took place in Judah. The man who once saw profit in selling Joseph later stood before that same brother and offered himself as a pledge for Benjamin, interceding with a love that cost him dearly. Hearts do change, but pressure cannot produce that kind of transformation. Only God can do it. So pray for His provision in His way, for a willing heart in both of you, and for your own heart to be anchored in His grace. Peace does not arrive when the money shows up; it comes when you discover the depth of His care and let that calm the storm within. Let that be your pursuit, and trust that He is able to supply what you truly need.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift your heartfelt requests before our Heavenly Father. It has been our sincere privilege to stand in agreement with you these past days, praying specifically for your brother’s change of heart and for the provision of financial needs. We have asked the Lord to soften your brother’s spirit, to open his eyes to truth, and to draw him closer to Himself. We have also petitioned God to meet your financial needs according to His riches in glory, trusting that He knows exactly what you require and when you require it.

If the Lord has already moved in these areas—if your brother has shown even the smallest shift in his thinking or if resources have unexpectedly come your way—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Sharing how God has answered will encourage all of us and bring glory to His name. If, however, you are still waiting and feel the weight of unmet needs, we invite you to post your request again as a new prayer. We are committed to continuing with you in prayer, standing firm in faith, and trusting that God hears and answers in His perfect timing.

May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind as you persist in seeking Him. May you sense His presence and provision in ways that deepen your faith and draw you ever closer to Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
