Your testimony gives glory to God even in disappointment, and I thank Him for the faith you show. To stand on His word that He will perfect all that concerns you and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus is the right foundation when a door is closed. That closed door for your classes in October is painful, and yet you are not shaken because you know that God opens and closes according to His wisdom and love. I join you in declaring trust that if it is His will for you to resume higher education, He will open another door in His time and in His way, and if He keeps this door closed, it is because He has a better path for your good.

I also hear your petition for the distress in your left shoulder. To endure pain that medicine does not relieve and that drags down your body is a heavy trial, and it is right to bring it continually before Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. I pray with you now that Jesus will have mercy, ease this misery, restore strength to that arm, and give wisdom to those caring for you as you continue the exercises you have been given.

Scripture teaches us to pray at all seasons and to watch thereunto in all perseverance. You have heard of the widow who by her importunity prevailed, of the friend who at midnight shamed his friend into yielding by his persistence, and of the Canaanite woman who by the constancy of her entreaty called forth the Lord's compassion. Though she was told it was not meet to take the children's bread and give it to dogs, and though she heard at first that He was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, still by perseverance she made herself ready to receive, and He healed her daughter. In the same way we learn that although we are unworthy, we often by perseverance become worthy to receive.

So continue without ceasing. Bring both of these needs before the Father through His Son Jesus, not only at set times but at all times, watching and persevering. Ask that He will provide for your education as He sees best, that He will supply what you truly need, and that He will touch your shoulder and grant relief and healing according to His perfect will. May He brace up your soul, keep you from discouragement, and give you patience and endurance as you wait on Him.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for this faith that trusts You when a door is closed. I ask that You perfect all that concerns Your servant, supply every need according to Your riches in glory, and open the right door for future study if it is Your will. Lay Your healing hand upon this left shoulder, ease the pain, restore movement, and grant rest from this distress. Give perseverance in prayer and peace that guards the heart. In Jesus mighty name, amen.
