Amazing

Beloved of All
Thank god for Jesus. I did not mention how amazed I was this morning as I was on my way to help that person with my much needed funds. I believe I was being a cheerful giver. Anyway, the driver that picked me up was a firm believer in Jesus. He explained to me how his religion,( Muslim) has taught him that Jesus wSs the one who taught their Muhammad what life was all about and you can not parallel the one against the other. But here's the thing for that entire ride that took almost one hour and a half, he played gospel music and we praised the Lord together the whole entire time, look what happened to me even while praising the Lord with a believer who is learning the English language but could sing every son of praise . Go figure!!! Oh my god

We rejoice with you in this amazing testimony and we thank God with you for Jesus and for the joy you experienced as a cheerful giver. We love your heart to help that person with your much needed funds, for it is written let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver 2 Corinthians 9:7. The Lord sees that sacrifice and that willingness, and we praise Him for stirring that generosity in you.

We also rejoice that you were able to praise the Lord for an hour and a half, singing gospel songs together. How beautiful when we lift up His name, and we are reminded to glorify the Lord together, and let us exalt his name together Psalm 34:3, and to enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise Psalm 100:4. That time of worship is a gift, and we understand why you were so amazed.

We do want to lovingly address something important that the driver shared, because we care about truth and about his soul and yours. He identified as Muslim yet said he is a firm believer in Jesus and that Jesus taught Muhammad what life was about and that you cannot parallel the one against the other. We must gently correct this, because what Islam teaches about Jesus is not what the Bible teaches, and the two cannot be blended together. The Bible warns that even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you any good news other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed Galatians 1:8. Islam teaches that Jesus was only a prophet and denies that He is the Son of God, denies His death on the cross and His resurrection, yet the whole hope of our faith rests on Jesus being God come in the flesh who died for our sins and rose again. Whoever denies the Son, the same does not have the Father 1 John 2:23, and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Muhammad came more than five hundred years after Jesus and taught contrary to the gospel, so Jesus did not teach Muhammad. Rather, Jesus is the eternal Lord who alone can save.

So while we celebrate that this man loves gospel music and can sing every song of praise, we pray that his love for the music would lead him to truly know the One the music is about, not as merely a prophet but as Savior and Lord. We also encourage you to continue to share the full truth with him if the Lord gives you another opportunity, with grace and truth, so he may come to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead Romans 10:9.

We join you in prayer now. Father, we thank You for Your goodness and for the joy of giving cheerfully and for the gift of worship. We thank You for this divine appointment in that car ride and for the hunger this driver has for songs about Jesus. We ask in Jesus name that You would open his eyes to see Jesus as He truly is, the Son of God, the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, crucified and risen, and that he would turn from every false teaching and trust in Christ alone for salvation. Draw him to Yourself and give our dear brother or sister here boldness and love to speak the truth. Continue to bless and provide for the one who gave so generously, and let Your joy and peace remain upon them as they walk with You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We loved hearing about your morning. Going out to help someone with funds you knew were needed, with a cheerful heart, and then being met with an hour and a half of gospel music and praise with your driver, that is the kind of surprise only God arranges.

It moved us how you noticed his joy. Learning English but knowing every song of praise by heart, singing the whole way. There is something so tender about worship like that, outside any church walls, just two people in a car lifting up Jesus together. It reminds us that worship is not just a Sunday thing but a way of loving God in ordinary moments, and it often lifts our eyes off our own concerns and helps us see His kindness more clearly.

Thank you for sharing this. Stories like yours encourage the rest of us to watch for God in the small details of the day.

We will hold onto this with you and keep that driver in prayer too, that God would continue to draw him closer to Jesus.

Father, thank you for Jesus and for the joy of praising Him. Thank you for this ride and for the fellowship you gave our friend when she least expected it. Keep her cheerful and generous heart, and continue to lead this driver into the truth and grace of your Son. Let this memory stay bright for her as a reminder of your nearness. In Jesus name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How good is our God to give you a cheerful heart in giving and a singing heart in praising Him, for we read that God loves a cheerful giver, not one who gives grudgingly and as though he wished he could avoid it, but one who gives with ease and spontaneity and pleasure. You did well to go on your errand of mercy with that spirit, for such giving is the work of His Spirit and it delights Him, and there is no giving in yonder skies as there is now, when the poor man's need is His treasury held out for you to fill. May you continue to give while you still can, and to do so as unto the Lord.

And what a mercy also to turn a common journey into worship, for prayer and praise are like the two cherubim upon the ark and must never be separated, and to be wrapped in praise to God is the highest state of the soul. Praise is heaven, and heaven is praise, and when the soul can sing an excelsis in extremis and bless the Lord in the deepest waters, that sacrifice is better than all outward forms. Formal worship which is not attended with the heart can never be acceptable with the Most High, but true praise glorifies Him. That you and your driver could make melody together for an hour and more is a sweet providence, and we thank God for every note that exalted Christ.

Yet I must speak to you plainly and lovingly concerning the testimony you heard upon the way, that we may hearken rightly to His testimony. The Lord Jesus is not merely one teacher among others who taught Muhammad what life was about, nor can He be paralleled with any other. The testimony of Jesus is personal testimony, what He has seen and heard with the Father, for He is above all, very God of very God, whose throne is forever and ever. No man receives His testimony until grace opens the heart, but he that receives His testimony sets to his seal that God is true, and he receives not a prophet only but a Saviour. As we have heard, so have we seen, and our praise is not for a good man or a wise teacher, but for Judah's greater Son, Jesus Himself, whom His brethren shall praise because He has borne our sin and opened the way to God by His one great sacrifice.

There is therefore but one way of salvation, through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and every other way falls short. The religion of Islam, though it may speak a name like His, does not confess Him as Scripture reveals Him, the Son of God who died and rose again to save sinners, and to confound Him with another system is to lose the very Gospel we sing about. I do not doubt the kindness of your driver nor the sincerity of his singing, and I rejoice that the gospel music gave you both a season of joy, but true faith must go beyond music to receive Christ Himself with unquestioning faith, believing all that He testifies concerning Himself and concerning God.

Take heed then how you hear, and test all teaching by the Holy Scriptures, asking is this according to the Word of God, for many voices speak in this world. Bear your own personal testimony earnestly and affectionately, as one who has tasted that the Lord is gracious, and tell what great things the Lord has done for you. That is the most effectual weapon for overcoming unbelief, and it may be that your cheerful giving and your hearty praise will be blessed to this man to seek the Saviour for himself, not as a figure in another religion, but as Lord and Christ.

May the Lord keep you in that garment of praise and make your prayers ever perfumed with thanksgiving, and may He grant to your fellow traveller that he may come to know Him whom to know is life eternal, and join with you not only in singing the songs of Zion for an hour, but in washing in the blood that washes all who truly believe.
