Disciple of Prayer
Hi, i ask for prayer request because i dont think i have strength left, i love jesus and trust him but i want others too praying for me, i miss my childhood friends back from home and i want us to be good friends again, for good nothing is impossible so i pray that i am reconciled with them and we become so close again because i do want to have life with them, i pray that in melbourne, i have friends who i can genuinely have fun with, go out, enjoy life it has been 2 years and i am always home, i need community, i need genuine amazing friends without god it cant happen, i have hope, if you can ray for me a bold prayer, i want to start living again, i know life is amazing but i cant live it alone, i need connection and love

We hear the deep longing in your heart for genuine friendship, love, and community, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. Your trust in Jesus is evident, and we rejoice that you have placed your hope in Him, for He alone is the source of true belonging and fulfillment. The loneliness you describe is heavy, and we grieve with you over the distance from childhood friends and the isolation you’ve felt in Melbourne. But we declare with you that nothing is impossible with God, and He is able to restore what has been lost and to bring new connections that reflect His love.

First, we want to affirm that your desire for friendship is good and God-given. Scripture tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). God designed us for relationship, not just with Him, but with one another. Your longing for community is a reflection of His heart for you.

Yet we must also gently remind you that while friendship is a gift from God, it cannot replace the love and sufficiency of Christ. You mentioned that without God, this cannot happen, and that is absolutely true. But we must be careful not to place our ultimate hope in people, even the best of friends, for human relationships, no matter how deep, will always fall short of the perfect love found in Jesus. He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24), and His love is the foundation upon which all other relationships must be built. We encourage you to continue seeking Him first, trusting that as you draw near to Him, He will lead you to the right people at the right time.

Regarding your childhood friends, we pray for reconciliation and restoration, but we also surrender the outcome to God. Sometimes relationships drift apart due to distance, life changes, or even unresolved conflict, and while reconciliation is possible, it must be according to God’s will. If it is His plan for you to be reunited, He will make a way. If not, He will provide new friendships that are just as meaningful. We pray that your heart remains open to both possibilities, trusting that God’s ways are higher than our own (Isaiah 55:8-9).

For the friendships you seek in Melbourne, we encourage you to actively pursue community in ways that honor God. This may mean stepping out of your comfort zone, joining a local church, participating in small groups, serving in ministry, or engaging in activities that align with your interests. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." Seek friendships with believers who will encourage you in your faith, challenge you to grow, and point you to Christ. Be patient, for God often brings people into our lives in His perfect timing.

We also want to gently address the way you phrased your desire to "have fun" and "enjoy life." While there is nothing wrong with joy and laughter, we must ensure that our pursuit of friendship does not lead us into worldly or sinful behavior. True Christian friendship is marked by love, accountability, and a shared commitment to holiness. "Do not be deceived: ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’" (1 Corinthians 15:33). We pray that your friendships will be rooted in Christ, where fun is found in serving Him together, encouraging one another, and growing in godliness.

Now, let us pray boldly over your heart and your circumstances:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother/sister who is longing for friendship and love. Lord, You see the loneliness, the memories of past friendships, and the desire for community. We ask that You would fill this void with Your presence, reminding them that You are always with them, even in the silence. Father, we pray for restoration with childhood friends if it is Your will, soften hearts, remove any barriers, and draw them back together in a way that glorifies You. If it is not Your plan, Lord, we ask that You would heal the ache of loss and replace it with new, godly friendships that reflect Your love.

Lord, we ask that You would open doors in Melbourne for deep, meaningful connections. Lead them to a church family where they can belong, to small groups where they can be known, and to friendships that will sharpen them in faith. Give them courage to step out, wisdom to discern healthy relationships, and patience to wait for Your timing. Father, we rebuke the spirit of isolation and loneliness in the name of Jesus, declaring that they are never alone because You are with them.

We pray against any temptation to seek fulfillment in people rather than in You. Remind them daily that their worth is found in Christ alone, and that true joy comes from abiding in You. May their friendships be a reflection of Your love, selfless, pure, and edifying. Lord, we ask that You would restore their hope and help them to "start living again," not in their own strength, but in the power of Your Spirit.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust that You are working even now to bring the right people into their life. May they experience the fullness of Your love in every relationship, and may their life be a testimony to Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God sees you, loves you, and has a plan for your life that includes community. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He will provide the friendships you need. You are not alone, for the Lord is your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1). Continue to press into Him, and watch how He moves in your life.

its good to have all kinds of friend, just because someome is godly does not mean you fit in or can be connected, i am open to people who i can genuinely connect with, i had a godly mentor and i was more depressed than ever, lord, you know my heart you have called me the joyful lightbearer, let this light shine lord, let the best people come in, you know i love dancing, you know i love singing, you are the one who knit me in mother's womb and put these desires, you know i like travelling and you above any one else know how much i want to be known and connected, lord your promise says ask and it will be given to you, knock...you know me lord, my heart is pure, only you can help have these relationships, i trust you do exceedingly more and above

Never a prayer wasted. May Father God and Lord Yeshua guide you and help you only continue in faith and prayer often giving time and attention to God may God bless Lord Yeshuas name amen.
