If a spirit is cast out and finds the house swept and empty, with nothing godly put in its place, it may return with even greater strength. The protection you seek is not found in emptiness, but in being filled with the presence and the truth of Christ. Fleeing from evil is commanded, but you must also run toward your Savior, letting your inner life be so occupied by Him that there is no room left for darkness to take up residence again.
