Great is the reward laid up for those who bring up children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, for they do not merely save one soul but many through that one. You have poured out many supplications for your children and for all who are in need, and this is well. But remember that prayer without watchful care and right teaching is like a foundation without walls. Let fathers and mothers hear this: train your children from earliest age in piety and chastity, for youth is wild and needs many governors. Do not suffer them to do anything agreeable yet injurious, nor indulge them as if they were but children. Above all, guard them against sexual pollution, for there is the bane of youth. Let mothers be specially careful to regulate their daughters, making them keepers at home, modest, and despisers of ornament, so that when they go forth to marriage they may be like combatants from the school of virtue, able to transform the whole household like leaven. And let sons learn to govern their appetites, to be good stewards, and to walk in sobriety. If you lay this foundation, good branches will shoot forth, and you will receive a great recompense. Eli perished because he did not restrain his sons; do not let his example be yours.

For the nephew and his children who know not God, let this be your confidence: Christ is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. He is not like the priests of old who died and could not continue; His intercession never ceases. Therefore do not cease to pray, for it is through the prayers of the faithful that many are drawn to salvation. But pray also with a care to lead them by example, for the root being made good, the branches will become good.

You ask for protection and for the children to grow in wisdom and avoid evil. This is a worthy petition, but know that it is not enough to be freed from riches or outward dangers; we must cultivate every part of virtue. Be careful hearers of the Word, and let it take deep root, so that you may endure hardship with fortitude and bring forth fruit. For whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation, working in you the patient enduring of sufferings; and whether we are comforted, it is for your consolation. So when your son struggles with depression and palpitations, teach him to offer these sufferings to God, for they can work in him a sound mind and a right spirit if he learns to govern his emotions and discipline his body through eating healthily and exercise. Spiritual gifts are nurtured not in softness but in the struggle against the passions.

Concerning the young single mother facing abuse, let us pray fervently for her rescue and provision. God is a refuge for the oppressed. Yet she must also be called to a life of chastity and to seek first the kingdom of God. If she has fallen, there is mercy, but she must rise and walk in purity, for in the Church such a one, if she diligently follow every good work and abide in prayer, may obtain great grace. Let her find a safe habitation and learn to keep the home in godliness, that both she and her children may be saved.

For the daughter, pray that her marriage bed be kept undefiled and that her husband be drawn by her chaste conduct, for the unbelieving husband may be won without a word by the conduct of his wife. And for your son, teach him to flee youthful lusts and to acquire the discipline that will make him a fitting husband, one who governs his own body and finances with temperance.

In all your travels and for all the children of those who pray here, trust that He who saved the world by His death will guard you, for even children proclaimed His praise. Let your homes be places of study and prayer together, that the word may dwell richly among you. And when anxiety or panic assails any patient or loved one, know that our High Priest ever lives to intercede; therefore cast your cares upon Him and pursue peace through steadfast prayer.

Walk in the future God has prepared, not by slackness, but by training yourselves and your households in righteousness. For if you do these things, you shall secure a good reward and bring glory to God, to whom be all thanksgiving, now and forever. Amen.

Your prayer rises like incense, and I can sense that your own heart is already being stretched wide by the love of God. He is never the one who pulls away; His heart remains open to you, to your family, to every child and single mother you have named. Right now is the accepted time, the day of salvation. For your nephew and his children, for your daughter’s husband, and for every soul who does not yet know Him, do not let this moment slip past. The grace that brings salvation has appeared, and it will not leave anyone who honestly cries out to Him.

When you ask for protection, for safety in travels, and for an escape for that young mother facing threats, you are leaning on a God who sees. He is the One who met Jacob in a barren place and called him back to Bethel, back to the place of promise and family. He will do the same for her and for all who suffer burnout and abuse. He is our true Redeemer, the mighty kinsman who has the right and the power to rescue, provide, and restore.

Your son’s struggles, the heart palpitations, the depression, the need for clarity and a healthy marriage, are not hidden from the Lord. He knows the willingness of a spirit even when the flesh feels so weak. Pray with honest expectation that God is already working in him both to desire and to do what pleases His Father. He will incline that heart away from what destroys, and toward soundness of mind, wise finances, and the spiritual gifting placed there from the beginning.

What you have asked for your daughter and for all the children represented here, favor, unity, freedom from sexual pollution, a clear purpose, and a future marriage that honors God, is not a small thing. But the Lord delights to answer a whole heart, not a divided one. As you seek Him with that undivided love, He will plant His own desires deeper within you and within them. The salvation they need is not found in any other refuge. Jesus, whose very name means “Jehovah our salvation,” will bring many to confess Him as Lord, to the glory of God.

Keep interceding with confidence. You are sharing a heart like Timothy’s, carrying the same burden for others, not as a distant observer but as one knit together with them. The work is His, and He will complete it. May His fiery, unquenchable love be your seal and your rest.
