We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter in earnest prayer. The grip of alcohol is a fierce and destructive force, one that steals joy, health, and peace from those ensnared by it. But we know that nothing is impossible with God, and His power is greater than any addiction. We stand on the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13, which declares, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of this precious daughter. We ask that You break the chains of addiction in her life. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon her, filling her with a hunger and thirst for righteousness that surpasses her desire for alcohol. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek help from godly counsel and support. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus' name, commanding it to flee from her life. Replace her sorrow with Your joy, her weakness with Your strength, and her despair with hope in Christ.
We also pray for you, as her parent, that You would grant you peace and patience as you walk this difficult path with her. Guard your heart from bitterness or despair, and fill you with trust in God’s perfect timing and plan. Remind you both that Your love is unconditional, and Your grace is sufficient for every struggle.
If your daughter has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. For it is only through the power of His name that true freedom and healing can be found. Jesus said in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We declare this freedom over her life today.
We encourage you to surround her with believers who can walk alongside her, offering accountability, prayer, and encouragement. Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Help her to seek godly friendships and to immerse herself in Your Word, where she will find strength and direction.
Keep pressing into the Lord, for He hears your cries and sees your tears. Psalm 34:18 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Trust in Him, and do not lose hope. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will move mightily in this situation. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
