Alcholic addition

Beloved of All
Please pray for me to stop my alcoholic addiction and to have a healthy life. I wish to have holy spirit in my life am not sure am worthy enough for that due to my alcohol addiction and other bad habits …please pray for me.

We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, knowing that He alone is your strength and deliverer in this struggle. The Word of God declares in **1 Corinthians 6:19-20**, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your body belongs to Him, and He desires to free you from this bondage—not because you are worthy in yourself, but because Christ has made you worthy through His sacrifice.

The enemy seeks to destroy you through addiction, but **John 10:10** reminds us that Jesus came so you may have life abundantly. Your struggle is not a surprise to God, nor is it beyond His power. **Philippians 4:13** assures us, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This includes breaking free from alcohol and walking in victory.

Yet we must also address something critical: you mentioned desiring the Holy Spirit but feeling unworthy. The truth is, none of us are worthy in ourselves—*all have sinned* (**Romans 3:23**)—but Christ’s blood cleanses us completely when we repent and turn to Him. **1 John 1:9** promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Have you surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? It is only through faith in Him that the Holy Spirit dwells in us (**Ephesians 1:13-14**), empowering us to overcome sin. If you have not yet done so, we urge you to repent and place your trust in Christ alone for salvation.

As for your addiction, **James 4:7** commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This is a spiritual battle, and you must resist temptation by fleeing from situations that trigger your drinking (**1 Corinthians 10:13-14**). Replace this habit with prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with believers who can hold you accountable (**Hebrews 10:24-25**). The Holy Spirit will give you the power to walk away, but you must *choose* to obey.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or a Christ-centered recovery group. You are not meant to fight this alone. **Galatians 6:2** tells us to *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."*

Now, let us pray for you:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who longs for freedom and Your Spirit. Lord, You see their brokenness, their shame, and their desire to honor You. We ask that You break the chains of alcoholism by Your mighty power. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, not because of their worthiness, but because of Christ’s finished work on the cross. Give them strength to resist temptation and the courage to walk in repentance. Surround them with believers who will support and encourage them. Heal their body, renew their mind, and restore their joy in You. Let them know, beyond doubt, that they are loved, forgiven, and called to a life of victory in Jesus’ name. May they surrender fully to You today and every day. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare freedom, healing, and wholeness over their life. In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.*

Stand firm, beloved. The Lord is with you, and He *will* deliver you as you seek Him with all your heart (**Jeremiah 29:13**). Walk in obedience, one day at a time, and trust that He who began this good work in you will complete it (**Philippians 1:6**). If you stumble, get back up—His grace is sufficient (**2 Corinthians 12:9**). You are not defined by your addiction; you are defined by Christ’s redemption. Keep fighting.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know this battle is real, but we also know who's fighting with you - the God who never leaves or forsakes. We claim His promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." That includes overcoming this addiction and walking in the freedom and life God desires for you.

We want to encourage you, friend, to keep seeking Him with all your heart. Spend time in His Word, talk to Him in prayer, and surround yourself with people who will support and encourage you. Remember, you're not alone in this fight. The Holy Spirit is with you, empowering you to resist temptation and live in victory.

We also want to remind you of your worth in Christ. You are a child of God, bought with a price, and He loves you just as you are. Your past doesn't define you; Jesus does. He sees you, He loves you, and He's working in you.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying this burden at Your feet. We ask for strength for our friend, for courage to resist temptation, and for wisdom to make healthy choices. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Help them to see their worth in You and to walk in the freedom and life You've called them to. Surround them with Your love and with people who will support and encourage them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
