There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

Wow, it is June 2, 2026.

I am tired of difficulties, but the hits just keep on coming…

I got behind on my rent when I had car issues and then I was sick. My only source of income is gig work.

My wife left me and then stole my children using the court system when I was 5000 miles away. That doesn’t help my psyche when it comes to trying to work and live, etc..

A week ago, my landlord knocked on my door like I was his teenage son. He yelled at me and screamed at me and ridiculed me and mocked me, etc.

A few days later, he turned the water off. Then a few days after that, he turned off electricity. Last night, I went back to my room, just hoping to lay down a horizontal surface, and my key did not work.

I think they call that a constructive eviction. It’s completely 100% illegal. The landlord cannot turn off utilities and he or she cannot change the locks, etc..

So I had to sleep in my car last night, my rental car out on a mountain top. I haven’t had a shower in like eight days. I’m wearing the same clothes that I wore eight days ago.

I’ve been through so much. It’s so painful and overwhelming.

I honestly feel like my love for God is stronger than it’s ever been but I honestly feel like my faith in God is stronger than it’s ever been. I really mean that I’m not just saying it.

I cannot wait to be in the presence of God, Christ, etc. I wish the Lord would come back soon cause I’m tired of living in this whole world.

I still hope that my wife will reconcile. I trust that this whole time God has been working in her life to bring her to repentance.

If my life has been so bad, I’ve wondered what God has done in her life. What type of suffering has she endured? I hope something will happen soon. I’m exhausted.

Thank you for your prayers

We hear your cry, brother, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of your trials is more than any one person should bear, financial strain, betrayal, injustice, homelessness, and the deep ache of a broken marriage and stolen fatherhood. Yet in the midst of this storm, we see the flicker of your faith, and it testifies to the sustaining power of God. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The Lord sees every tear, every sleepless night, every unanswered question, and He collects them all (Psalm 56:8). Your love for Him and your faith in Him, even when it feels like a thread, is precious in His sight.

First, we must address the immediate crisis of your housing and basic needs. What your landlord has done is not only unethical, it is illegal, and it is a violation of the dignity God has given you. We rebuke the spirit of oppression and injustice that seeks to crush you. The Lord is your defender (Psalm 9:9), and He commands us to seek justice (Micah 6:8). We encourage you to reach out to local legal aid organizations, churches, or shelters in your area. Many communities have resources for those facing unlawful evictions or utility shutoffs. Do not let shame or exhaustion keep you from asking for help. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we pray that God would raise up people to stand with you in this time.

We also lift up your marriage and your children. The pain of separation, especially when it involves your children, is a wound that only God can fully heal. We pray for your wife, that the Lord would soften her heart and bring her to repentance. But we must also speak truth: marriage is a covenant before God, and what has been broken by human sin can only be restored by divine intervention. We pray for reconciliation, but we also pray for wisdom for you. If your wife has hardened her heart, you must guard your own heart from bitterness and idolatry, placing your hope in the possibility of restoration rather than in the Lord Himself. Your identity is not in being a husband or a father, but in being a child of God (1 John 3:1). We declare that He is your Father, your Provider, and your Peace, even when earthly relationships fail.

We are grieved by the way the courts have been used against you, but we trust that God is still sovereign over the systems of this world. We pray that He would expose any corruption or bias and that He would turn the hearts of those in authority toward justice (Proverbs 21:1). We also pray for your children, that they would be protected from the lies of the enemy and that they would know their Heavenly Father’s love, even if they do not yet understand their earthly father’s love.

Your exhaustion is real, and we do not take it lightly. But we remind you that even Elijah, after a great victory, fled into the wilderness and asked God to take his life (1 Kings 19:4). Yet God did not scold him, He fed him, let him rest, and then spoke to him in a still, small voice. You are in that wilderness now, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray that He would give you moments of rest, moments of provision, and moments of His sweet presence to sustain you.

We must also address your longing for the Lord’s return. While it is right to desire the end of suffering and the fullness of God’s kingdom, we caution you not to let despair overshadow the work God may still have for you here. Jesus said, “Occupy until I come” (Luke 19:13). Your testimony of faith in the midst of suffering is a light in this dark world. We pray that God would give you purpose even in this season, that your story would bring glory to Him and hope to others who are walking through similar valleys.

Now, we lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see his struggles, his financial hardship, his broken marriage, the injustice he has faced, and the exhaustion that threatens to overwhelm him. We ask that You would be his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Provide for his needs, Lord. Open doors of provision and protection. Raise up people to stand with him, to offer shelter, legal help, and encouragement. We rebuke the spirit of oppression and ask that You would bring justice to his situation.

Father, we pray for his marriage. We ask that You would soften his wife’s heart and bring her to repentance. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken. But if not, Lord, give him the strength to release her into Your hands and to trust You with his children. Guard his heart from bitterness and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for his children, Lord. Protect them from harm, both physical and spiritual. Draw them to Yourself and let them know Your love, even if they do not yet understand their father’s love. We ask that You would turn the hearts of those in authority toward justice and that You would expose any unrighteousness in the systems that have failed him.

Lord, we ask that You would renew his strength. When he is weak, be his strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). Give him moments of rest, moments of provision, and moments of Your presence to sustain him. Remind him that his identity is in You, not in his circumstances. Let him find hope in Your promises and joy in Your salvation.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use his story for Your glory. Let his faith shine as a testimony to others. Give him opportunities to share Your love and truth, even in this difficult season. And if it is Your will, Lord, let him see glimpses of Your goodness and Your faithfulness, even now.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). May Your will be done in his life, and may he know that he is deeply loved by You. Amen.

We’re standing with you in this, brother, and we’re not just praying, we’re walking this path with you. It’s clear you’re carrying so much weight, and it’s breaking our hearts to see how the enemy has stacked trial after trial against you. But here’s what we’re telling you right now: God is not done with you yet.

First, we’re declaring that the Lord is your defender, and He’s already moved in this situation. That landlord’s actions are not just wrong, they’re an open door for God’s justice to step through. We’re praying that every legal avenue is opened, that someone is sent to help you find shelter, and that the shame you’re feeling is replaced with the peace of knowing you’re not alone. You’re not forgotten, and you’re not abandoned. The same God who parted the Red Sea is the one who’s going to turn this around for you.

We’re also praying for your wife and your children. It’s hard to see them hurt, and it’s even harder to know you can’t fix this on your own. But God is working, even if it’s not how you see it yet. We’re praying for her heart to soften, but we’re also praying for you to trust God completely with her and with your kids. You’re not just a husband or a father, you’re a son of the King, and your identity is rooted in Him. Let Him carry the weight of their futures.

We’re not ignoring the exhaustion, either. We’re praying for moments of rest, for unexpected provision, and for the Lord to meet you in the middle of this storm. You’re not just surviving, you’re being prepared for something greater. And we’re praying for that something to be revealed soon.

Most of all, we’re praying that you’d feel His presence right now. That you’d hear His whisper over the chaos, that you’d know He’s near. You’ve been faithful in your love for Him, and we’re praying that He’d make that love visible in your life, even in this. You’re not just waiting for better days; you’re living them right now, one step at a time, with Him beside you.

We’re cheering for you. Keep going. He’s not far off.
