Alaska update / Saturday…

Thank you for all your prayers!

Today is Sunday, the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). I just finished walking nearly 10,000 steps and I spent most of that time praying to God. I love to pray and walk.

I have spent 6 full days living in my van. It’s not been easy but it has been doable. I am so thankful for my $### camping mattress which has allowed me to sleep better.

I often pray that God will move a certain mountain out of my life. I have about 10 mountains. As I walked today, I thought about a mountain that God had removed. For a long time, I had prayed for a new career direction and a better than normal (for me) salary. I can now say, “God has moved that mountain!”

Last Wednesday, I started my new in management. In about a month, I will be the only manager here and I have about 30 employees at first and possibly 40+ in a year. God moved that mountain.

So, last week I worked four days. I worked with the old manager and with all the staff learning their names and what they do. Also, did their job for a few hours at a time. I am so thankful to God for this new job.

Every day I look for a place to live and so far I have not found one. Some are just incredibly expensive and others are places that I would prefer not to live. I am asking God to move the mountain of homelessness. I do not want to live in the van. Even in Alaska, it’s really hot right now in the daytime.

Living in the van, has caused me to focus more on my job. Because I know that when my job is over for the day, I get to go live in my van. I have struggled with that and felt really down at times. But I’m confident, in time; God will provide.

Last January, God gave me the most perfect place to live up on a mountain top. The apartment was easily worth $### a month but the lady only charged me $### a month with no utilities. I’ve had the opportunity to talk to her about God. In the end, she gave me my full deposit back to me, which was $###. She did not even charge me for the four extra days that I stayed out of the kindness of her heart.

I love the rain and anytime it rains. I quote Acts 14:17. I have done that for years. The rain gives me peace and strength. The night before last at about 3 AM I heard rain on the top of my van. I woke up, quoted that verse and laid there and listened to the rain for a few hours often on. I love the rain so much!

Anything that I have, I attribute to the mercy and grace of God. I did not earn this job nor do I deserve it; God gave it to me, and I am truly grateful for his compassion and mercy and love. Next on.

I could probably write a book about how God brought me back to Alaska. The timing of each step was incredible. I can see teaching moments along the way. I can see moments where God was obviously testing me and my faith just like he tested Peter on the stormy seas of Galilee. Each time, it builds my faith!

Dear friends, I miss my wife and my children, deeply and dearly. I keep asking God to move the mountain of divorce and separation and bring my family back together as one. I miss him so much. I keep praying that God will bring my wife to repentance and soften her heart and cause her and direct her thinking to the need to put our family together.

The things that give me hope is that I am 99.9% sure God brought me back to Alaska. I had applied for jobs and nearly every state for every type of job. I was trying so hard to get back to Alaska. On August 19, 20##, I’ve moved back to Alaska was very little money, no car and no place to live. Despite all of that, God made provision.

I began teaching school and later I coach basketball. On November 20, 20##, I lost my job at the school due to no fault of my own. I was scared, embarrassed, and humiliated. God took care of me and made provision. I started making nearly $### a week doing DoorDash.

On January 1, 20##, I had decided I would just make DoorDash my career. I had proven that I could make good money and with more hard work I could even do better maybe. Apparently, God said no. On January 14, 20## I started to work for a car testing company that I’d work with before three times in San Francisco. I met some great friends at the job site and I actually look forward to meeting them every day when we worked.

I love to revisit the things that God has done in my life. It may seem boring to some, but others may find hope and the things that have happened to me, knowing full well that God is aware of their circumstances also (Ps 139).

As I type this prayer request, I look up and there are dark clouds approaching my location. I hope and pray that rain soon falls so that I can enjoy and be reminded of the powerful presence of God Almighty.

I do not know fully what God is doing, but I am confident he is present. Every night, he sees me under the thin roof of my van, laying on a mattress surrounded by clutter and the things that I need to live and survive daily, my van is not that big.

Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for reading my message. I hope something I may have said may inspire you as you continue your journey with God.

We are truly grateful to hear your testimony of faith and perseverance. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on God's Word to address your situation.

Firstly, we are delighted to see your faith in God's ability to move mountains in your life, as you have witnessed in your career. It is a powerful testimony to God's faithfulness and provision. As the Scripture says, "Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.'" (Mark 9:23 WEB)

We are also moved by your love for your family and your desire for reconciliation. We must remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24 WEB)

Let us pray for your wife, that God would soften her heart and bring her to repentance, as you have requested. Remember, "For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy." (1 Corinthians 7:14 WEB)

We also want to address the issue of divorce, as it is not God's desire for marriages to end in such a way. As the Scripture says, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don't be unfaithful." (Malachi 2:16 WEB)

We must also remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB) We encourage you to continue praying in Jesus' name, as it is the only way to the Father.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who has shared his heart with us. Lord, we ask that You continue to move mountains in his life, as You have done in the past. We pray for his wife, that You would soften her heart and bring her to repentance, so that their family may be reunited. We pray for his living situation, that You would provide a suitable home for him. We also pray for his new job, that You would give him wisdom and grace as he takes on this new role. Lord, we ask that You would continue to be his strength and his portion, as You have been in the past. We pray all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lastly, we must address that you have mentioned God Almighty and the powerful presence of God Almighty. While we know that God is all powerful, let us remember that God has revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus that we come to know God as our loving Heavenly Father. As it is written, "No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him." (John 1:18 WEB)

Remember God loves each one of us. God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 WEB) Therefore all of us should be preaching and teaching the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and him crucified for our sins, buried, and resurrected on the third day.

Please consider these scriptures and this message. We pray that you will come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already. God bless you and keep you in the faith.

Dear friend,

We're here with you, praying for your journey. It's amazing to see how God has moved mountains in your life, from your career to your living situation. We're inspired by your faith and resilience.

We join you in praying for your family. God's heart is for marriages to be restored, not divided. Let's trust that He can soften hearts and bring about change. We'll keep praying for your wife, that God would draw her to repentance and reconciliation.

We're also praying for your current living situation. We believe that God will provide a suitable home for you, just as He has in the past. Trust in His timing and provision.

Keep walking in faith, friend. God sees you, and He's with you, even under the thin roof of your van. He's got this. Let's keep our eyes on Him, no matter what the weather brings.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep sharing your story. It's an encouragement to us all.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to feel honored that you have given us the privilege to pray alongside you. We are truly glad that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

As you have shared about your journey, we want to lift up some specific areas of thanksgiving and petition. Firstly, we thank God for the mountain He has already moved in providing you with a new career direction and a better salary. This is truly an answer to prayer, and we rejoice with you in this blessing.

We also want to continue praying with you for the other mountains in your life. We ask God to move the mountain of homelessness and provide you with a suitable and affordable place to live. We declare that God is your provider and that He will make a way even when it seems impossible.

We also stand with you in praying for the restoration of your family. We ask God to soften your wife's heart and bring her to a place of repentance. We pray that God would direct her thoughts towards the importance of family unity and that He would bring your family back together as one.

As you continue to seek God and walk in faith, we ask that He would strengthen you and give you peace. We pray that He would remind you of His presence each day, just as He does when it rains. We ask that God would guide your steps and open the right doors for you in His perfect timing.

If you have seen more answers to prayer or have any updates, please share a praise report with us all. If you are still waiting for breakthroughs, do not hesitate to post a new request, and we will persist in prayer with you.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus Name.
