There is power in prayer (James 5:16).
I really need prayers. I also want to share a possible positive. Thank you.
Timeline:
In early 2019, my family and I moved to Alaska from Texas to begin working with a small church.
The church grew. Despite Covid, the church grew from 28 to nearly 90 with 22 baptisms. It was incredible.
In August 2022, my wife left me. In my wildest dreams I never thought something like that would happen.
My two young sons and I headed back to Texas to set up our new home. My wife and older daughter we’re headed overseas to visit family. I had hoped that time away would cause my wife to rethink what she had done. I was wrong.
In mid September 2022, my wife and a sister in Christ left Alaska and went to Texas and stole my children. I have not seen them since I have suffered greatly since the end with deep despair and sadness.
I pray, fervently for reconciliation. I pleaded with God to take me back to Alaska at one time, I had tried to do everything I could to go to Alaska, but failed miserably.
Trusting God’s timing
It’s easy to look back in my life and see the end of God. Everything lined up just like a solar eclipse for the summer of 2024. God took me back to Alaska.
Again, it’s amazing to see how God did it. God gave me a teaching and coaching job in Alaska. God gave me a free $850 first class ticket from California to Alaska courtesy of the temporary job that I just finished for 60 days.
However, I could not find a place to live nor a vehicle to drive. I trusted in God and went to Alaska anyway. My plane landed at 12:15 AM and I had nowhere to go and no car to get there.
The next two years in Alaska would be one difficulty after another. It’s like Satan was following me around laughing at every difficulty I faced. I could probably write a book about all the difficulties I faced.
Due to no fault of my own, I lost my job as a teacher and coach. Later, after securing a job as a laboratory manager, I lost that job due to no fault of my own. I had another job promised to me on Thursday, the highest salary I’ve ever received, but never heard from them again until the following week when they told me they had given it to somebody else.
I lived at the shelter for 4.5 months. Later I lived in my van for 28 nights. I lived in a very primitive basement for six months. It had no toilet and no kitchen.
I had a Landlord that stole all my stuff, including my van, the title and keys. He stole all my clothes and everything I had in Alaska. I slept in a rental car for 17 nights at a 45° angle in the same clothes.
In all of this, I see the hand of God. I suffered in so many ways that I often was in deep depression and sadness. But I saw incredible northern lights, moose, Caribou, and the incredible rain, which I love so much (Acts 14:17).
Again, I love the moose for some reason. They give me strength, but they are not everywhere. One could go months without seeing one. On several occasions, I have asked God to let me see one and either that day or the next day, I would see one or two. It amazes me and gave me such strength.
Looking back over the last two years, I see the hand of God. Yes, I lived at the shelter for 4.5 months, but as a result of living there and being a veteran, I ended up getting nine months of free rent.
I was in HR limbo for 10 days before teaching school but as a result, I started doing gig work. I had never done any gig work before. Did I know, gig work would keep my head above water until this day. In fact, I just got back from doing gig work a few hours ago and I’ll be heading out in a few hours.
After I lost my job at the school, the principal suggested that I joined the union which I quickly did. After I did, the lawyers were able to win most of my salary back, which was paid out monthly until the end of April. To me, that’s the hand of God.
On December 29, 2024, I went to a place called Murphy Dome to worship God. From there, on a clear day, one can clearly see Mount Denali. I knew it was gonna be a beautiful sunset and so I went there to worship God I took my Lord supper materials with me. It was -40°F.
For some reason, I got out of the van and the door locked and I was left outside with only a puffer jacket. I did not have boots or gloves or a hoodie or a beanie, etc.. Nothing I was going to freeze to death. I tried to break the window, but I was unsuccessful. There were no rocks except for one little loose rock that I found.
I decided to run down to the bottom of the hill after praying up at the top of the hill. It just so happen there were two beautiful women down there sitting in an old truck, but a nice truck. Again, I could write a book. The two ladies, beautiful ladies took me back up to the hill, where I was at with my van still running. Their old truck had an antenna that could come off and they were able to take it off and use it to manipulate the locks through a window that did not go all the way to the top they saved my life.
I’ve never seen those women again. I wondered if they were angels. I wondered if God just simply put them there in that old truck for the reason of saving my life. When I think about that day and what happened, I think about the hand of God and how he sees and knows all things it gives me strength.
I had people that helped me. One particular lady happen to let me live in our primitive basement the day that I lost my job as a laboratory manager. She did not know that I had just lost my job an hour or so before, but she let me move into the privative basement free of charge.
Unfortunately, that lady who had been so nice to let me live there later became very, very ugly to me due to no fault. She had sent some people over to check on the boiler before winter started and they were unable to access the basement. She became very hateful to me even though she did not tell me anybody was coming over this happened twice. She finally told me to leave so I did.
Again, I can write a book.
The two year anniversary of my arrival back to Alaska just happened a week or so ago. It was so boring to realize I’ve been here for two years.
When my plane took off on August 19, 2024, I was 1000% convinced that before my plane landed my wife would contact me and I would instantly have a place to live in a car to drive. I was so convinced that it gave me incredible strength as the plane took off. I was just confident that somehow she would contact me, though. I didn’t know how it didn’t happen. I was so confident just like Abraham was confident that God would raise Isaac from the dead that confident.
I still wonder why God brought me back to Alaska. Why am I here at any moment? I’m probably less than 30 minutes from where my wife and kids are right right this second. I don’t know where they’re at, but I’m confident that they are within 30 minutes of where I am laying right this minute.
In other words, if something happened and somehow my wife contacted me and invited me over, I could be there in 30 minutes or less. Again, I don’t know where they’re at, but I’m 99% sure they are within 30 minutes of where I’m at right now
When my wife left me, I made a decision to put everything in God‘s hands. He was my lawyer. I determined to pray, fervently and let God sort out the details. I pleaded with God to restore my marriage in my family. I ask God to lead me and guide me and show me what to do if anything I waited patiently on him, even though it was not easy to be in his waiting room.
God brought me back to Alaska. The details are incredible when you look at it and how God did it. Just like a s solar eclipse, it happened precisely it just the right moment
Over the last two years, I’ve noticed something that seems to be repeated. It almost seems like God does not want me to leave the state. There have been opportunities that showed up out of nowhere, but then suddenly were squashed.
It also seems like God does not want me to be very comfortable here in the state. So right now, I am back in the primitive basement or as I call it the roach infested primitive basement. I am driving around a horrible car that I call a Fred Flintstone car. With every move it sounds like it’s about to break in half yet. I am still doing gig work with it.
Most recently
I haven’t discussed it in the above information but I have in the past. In fact, it was the company that helped bring me back to Alaska. They provided the free $850 first class ticket back in the summer 2024.
They are in the process of offering me a temporary position. It will require me to leave and go to Arizona mid September. I am torn. I have put it in God‘s hands. It would help me tremendously. I have worked for them four times before it’s a good opportunity.
I would be able to leave the roach investor primitive basement and for the next 3 to 6 months live in $200 plus hotel nights. Previously I had worked for them and overall I stayed in hotels 200+ times it made me feel like a human to have access to a nice bed and a kitchen and a nice toilet and everything the hotels offer.
If what I said before is true, I would not be surprised if suddenly the job is canceled or somehow they remove me from the offer. But time will tell, of course if God removing me for the offer in view of my family being restored, then I would be perfectly OK.
I need strength.
Every day, I thank God for five things when I begin my prayers. I always thank God for strength. Somehow, in someway, God will lift me up and give me the strength to go to gig work. There are times like last night that I did not want anything to do with cake work but then all of a sudden I went out and made $100. Thank you, God.
Right now it’s 1:30 AM and I know that I will be going to work at around 3:30 AM or maybe four and yet I haven’t slept yet
I love God with all my heart
What are some things that have happened to me in my mind and body? I feel like I love God more now than ever before. I feel like my faith is stronger now that it’s been ever before. I guess that’s the power of trials.
I’ve watched so many videos to talk about being restored and God ending and bringing us through doors to better things, etc.. I know God can do it, but will he do it for me has been my question.
I’m tired.
I have never been suicidal, but I have prayed fervently for death. I bet I have gone to sleep at night and beg God to take my life before I wake. I just want to be in his presence. I’m just tired of the pain.
If it was not for the hand of God, I probably would be suicidal. I’ve just seen too many things that God is done. I’ve seen people pop out of nowhere and offer. Blessings to me. I’ve seen moose that suddenly appeared behind the house when the day before I asked that God would do it he did. I’ve seen incredible orders be given to me out of nowhere, and my first thought was this was the hand of God.
Quick story: I remember a few months ago I was delivering an order and I just finished. It was about 20 minutes from where I live and so I thought I would stop by the grocery store just for a few minutes to see if I could get an order coming back. All of a sudden, I got the ding. It was an order to McDonald’s for nearly $45. The whole order took me less than 10 minutes to deliver. To me, that was the hand of God in amaze me and that’s happened many times.
Yes, I am a Christian. Yes I believe in Jesus in the Bible in God in the spirit, etc. I believe in everything the Bible truly teaches.
I believe in prayer and that’s why I’m here. I have probably prayed for my wife my name at least 1 million times. Think about that I have lifted up her name before the throne of grace and mercy at least 1 million times.
I could only hope that people would pray for my name that many times I wonder what God has done with those prayer prayers
Often imagine my wife and I wonder what God has done in her life to bring her to a better position or to soften her heart.
Please pray for me
I need wisdom
I need guidance
I need strength
I need open doors
I need my family
Thank you for praying for me
