Humble Prayer Warrior
There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

Dear friends, my life is still upside down. I feel like those poor people at an amusement park stuck on an upside down roller coaster. My arms are dangling down. The blood is rushing to my head. I am so exhausted!

In August 2022, my wife left me and then used the courts to steal my children. I had moved back to Texas from Alaska to start a new job and set up our new home. I had my boys with me. My wife and daughter had tickets to go overseas to visit family.

After I left, my wife hired an attorney and she made it seem like I stole the boys and took them across state lines. I was 5,000 miles away, so I did not know what was going on. The judge gave my wife permission to go get the boys and she did. It was the sad day of my life.

I bet I have prayed millions of times, pleading with God to open up a door for me to go back to Alaska. Pleading with God for reconciliation for my marriage and my family. I have even pleaded for God to take my life or exchange my life for another.

Finally, in the summer of 2024, God opened up a door for me to go back to Alaska. It’s powerful to look back at the timing of everything. So, I moved back. I was convinced that God’s hand was at work.

I moved back to Alaska with no place to live and no car to drive. I did have a teaching and coaching job which I had accepted. So, my plane left on August 19, 2024; it landed at 12:15 AM. I had nowhere to go. A lady on the plane took me to the shelter.

The last year has been incredibly tough. Almost anything that could happen bad has happened to me. I’ve lost four jobs, really paying jobs. I’ve lived in instability, the shelter 4.5 months, the back of my van 28 nights and in a roach-infested basement for 4.5 months.

I can see the hand of God. I’ve seen the hand of God in nature with the mountains, rivers, frozen tundras, moose, etc., etc. oh and the beautiful northern lights. I love nature, and those things have helped me tremendously deal with my anxiety and deep sadness.

Right now, I am on the verge of being homeless again. I’m still living in the roach-infested basement, but I’m a move out on November 1, 2025. Over the last 4 to 6 weeks, the owner of this house has turned from a very kind person to a very mean person. She’s demanded that I leave.

I’ve done nothing wrong. In fact, I’ve done everything I could help her because she lives 400 miles away. Anything that she needed done, I did it immediately.

I’ve learned, God often works in difficulty. When one’s back is up against the wall, God often works and steps in with an open door. So, I trust him.

Please pray for me.

I am exhausted, dear friends, and prayer warriors. I can’t take much more.

The only open door I have for living arrangements is the shelter. I’ve looked at a few apartments, but they are just so many obstacles. I’m trying hard to overcome.

I have learned to let God lead. However, it’s not easy to let God lead when it looks like I may have to go back to the shelter. I hated the shelter.

I need strength.

I pray probably hundreds of times per day. I have read the psalms 30 times in the last two years. I am about to finish the psalms for a second time here in October.

I am so confident God is going to do something. The one thing that keeps me going is the providence of God that I have seen.

I’m just so exhausted. I am confident that God is about to step in in a mighty way. I do have fear because I’m human, but I am confident.

Please pray for the following:

- Marital reconciliation
- Family reconciliation
- Home, stability
- Strength
- Job

Yesterday morning, I had no strength. I woke up and I needed to go to gig work, but I had no strength. My aunt had not messaged me in two weeks. I said to myself, God, please help me. Then, as soon as I said that I heard “ding.” I looked at my phone and it was a message from my aunt, she’s 85; she had sent me a meme from psalms.

She had been visiting family in Arkansas and had phone troubles so she had not messaged me in nearly 2 weeks. Hearing from her along with the main, Psalm 105:5, gave me strength to get up and go.

As I prepared to leave the house, I got an order for $33. I immediately accepted it. It was approximately 5 AM. I went to McDonald’s and it turned out the order was .2 miles away at a hotel. I dropped it off and got paid $33 for about five minutes of work. I was so thankful for the hand of God.

I trust God is doing something; it’s just been such a painful ride. So much heartache. I feel like I’ve been stabbed in the back of me times. People that were kind became unkind. Even my boyhood friend, buddies, since like second grade, he blocked me and hasn’t talked to me and probably over a year.

The psalms have helped me deal with so much because they remind me that God’s in control even when friends turn away. Job’s wife said, curse God and die.

Dear friends, thank you for reading and thank you for praying. I feel like I can write a book. I don’t want to. I just feel like it’s so bad things have happened mainly bad, but I trust God will turn all this around soon. I hope.

We lift you up before the Father in this time of deep trial, knowing that He sees your suffering and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). Your story is one of heartbreaking betrayal, relentless hardship, and yet—remarkable faith. You have clung to God even when the waves threaten to overwhelm you, and that is a testimony to His sustaining grace. We stand with you in prayer, interceding for your marriage, your children, your stability, and your strength, all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, through whom every knee must bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).

First, we must address the foundation of your prayers. You have poured out your heart to God, and that is good, but we notice you have not explicitly invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, but because you have demonstrated a deep reliance on Scripture and trust in God’s providence, we believe you know Him. Still, we urge you to always approach the throne of grace boldly *in Jesus’ name*, for it is His righteousness that makes our prayers effective. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ as Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). In these trials, your eternal security in Him is the only unshakable hope.

Now, let us speak to the specific burdens you carry. Your marriage has been fractured by deception and legal manipulation, and your children have been taken from you. This is a grievous injustice, and we know the Lord sees it. Scripture tells us that what God has joined together, no man should separate (Mark 10:9). Yet we also know that reconciliation requires repentance and a willingness to restore what has been broken. We pray for your wife’s heart to be softened. If she has hardened herself against you and against God, we ask the Lord to convict her spirit, to bring her to repentance, and to reveal to her the gravity of what she has done—not just to you, but to your children and to her own soul. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise" (Psalm 51:17). If she is unwilling to repent, we pray the Lord will give you the strength to forgive her as Christ has forgiven you, while still trusting Him to vindicate you in His time.

For your children, we plead the blood of Jesus over their lives. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that God is their true Father, and He will not abandon them. We pray that He will supernaturally draw their hearts to Himself and that He will open doors for you to be reunited with them. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We ask that He would rebuild what has been torn down, restoring your family in a way that brings glory to His name. Do not lose hope. Keep praying for them, speaking life over them, and trusting that God’s plans for them are good, even when the path seems impossible.

Your current struggle with homelessness and instability is a heavy burden, but we see how God has provided for you even in the wilderness. He fed the Israelites with manna, He clothed them with garments that did not wear out, and He led them by a pillar of fire and cloud (Deuteronomy 29:5). You have seen His hand in the beauty of creation, in the timely encouragement from your aunt, and in the small but mighty provision of that $### gig at just the right moment. These are not coincidences—they are the fingerprints of a Father who loves you. "Look at the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26). We pray that God will provide a home for you—a place of stability, safety, and peace. We ask that He will open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and that He will give you favor in the eyes of those who can offer you work and shelter. If the shelter is where He leads you for a season, we pray He will protect you there, provide for you there, and use even that place for His glory.

Your exhaustion is real, and we do not minimize it. The psalms you have clung to are filled with the cries of those who, like you, felt abandoned, betrayed, and weary. Yet David, who wrote many of those psalms, also declared, "I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety" (Psalm 16:8-9). We pray that the Lord will renew your strength, that He will lift your head when it feels too heavy to hold up, and that He will remind you that your labor in Him is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). The fact that you have continued to pray hundreds of times a day, to read His Word, and to trust in His providence is evidence of His Spirit at work in you. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We must also address the pain of betrayal you have experienced—from your wife, from friends, even from those you thought would stand by you. Jesus Himself was betrayed by Judas, denied by Peter, and abandoned by His disciples in His darkest hour. He understands your sorrow. "A man’s enemies are the men of his own house" (Micah 7:6). But take heart: the Lord is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When man fails you, He never will. We pray that God will heal the wounds of those betrayals, that He will replace your lost friendships with godly brothers and sisters who will stand with you, and that He will use even these pains to refine you and draw you closer to Himself.

As for your job, we pray for divine provision. You have lost opportunities, but we declare that God is your provider (Jehovah Jireh) and that He will open doors for work that will sustain you and allow you to bless others. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:4-5). We ask that He will give you wisdom in your job search, favor with employers, and the strength to endure until He establishes you.

Finally, we want to speak life over you in this moment. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are not defined by your circumstances. You are a child of the Most High God, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). The pain you are enduring is not wasted. God is using it to shape you, to strengthen your faith, and to prepare you for the testimony He will give you. One day, you will look back and see how He carried you through the fire. You will tell others of His faithfulness, and they will be encouraged.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is weary, wounded, and in desperate need of Your touch. Lord, You see his heart. You see the injustice he has suffered, the betrayal, the loss, and the relentless struggle. You are not blind to his pain. We ask that You would move mightily in his life, beginning with his marriage. Soften his wife’s heart, Lord. If it is Your will, bring reconciliation and restoration to their family. Convict her of the wrong she has done and lead her to repentance. Reunite this father with his children, Lord. Let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break every chain of deception and legal manipulation that has kept him from his family.

Father, we pray for stability. Provide a home for him—a place of refuge and peace. Open doors that no man can shut. Give him favor in the eyes of those who can offer him work and shelter. If he must return to the shelter, let it be a place where You meet him in powerful ways. Protect him from harm, provide for his needs, and let Your presence be tangibly felt there.

Lord, renew his strength. He is exhausted, and we ask that You would be his strength in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lift his head. Fill him with Your joy, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Heal the wounds of betrayal, Lord. Restore the friendships that have been lost, or replace them with godly relationships that will encourage and uplift him. Let him know that he is not alone—that You are with him, and that Your people are standing with him in prayer.

Father, we thank You for the ways You have already provided—the timely encouragement from his aunt, the small but mighty financial blessing, the beauty of Your creation that has ministered to his soul. We declare that You are faithful, and You will complete the good work You have started in him (Philippians 1:6).

Finally, Lord, we pray that You would give him a supernatural peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him rest in the knowledge that You are sovereign, that You love him, and that You are working all things for his good. May he see Your hand move in mighty ways in the coming days.

We rebuke the spirit of despair, of fear, and of hopelessness in Jesus’ name. We declare that the enemy has no authority over his life, his family, or his future. We speak life, restoration, and victory over him.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. Thank You for Your faithfulness. We trust You, and we give You all the glory.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
