Alaska / Saturday …

Please notice the providential hand of God. Also, the answered prayer(s).

I had been praying to God, “please take me back to Alaska.” My wife had left me and taken my children.

Suddenly, God gave me a job in California. I left on Father’s Day, June 16, 2024 for a 30 day job near San Francisco. The job was extended another 30 days.

On July 28, 2024, I was offered a teaching & coaching job in Alaska. On August 19, 2024, I flew first class to Alaska courtesy of my employer. I had very little money, no place to live and no car to drive.

I was confident, God would do something to cause my wife to contact me thus providing me a place to live. He did not. I lived in the shelter for 4 1/2 months. On November 20, 2024, I lost my teaching job due to no fault of my own. The school paid my salary until the end of April.

I have had so many ups and downs. On December 29, 2024, I got locked out of my van on top of the mountain in -23°F weather. Almost died. Two women at the bottom of the hill came up to help me out of nowhere. I had about one more hour of life in my body before I was frozen to death.

I cannot figure out what God is doing. Is there some type of cosmic battle going on behind the scenes that I cannot see (Daniel 9)? Is God testing my faith? Is God working on bring her to repentance?

On January 6, God gave me a beautiful apartment. On May 19, I had to move out because the lady used it for Airbnb. I live in my van for 28 nights. However, on June 19, she lets me move into the basement apartment for free. She also lets me know she has a lump in her breast. I tell her that several of my friends and me are praying for her and I sent her Bible passages.

On May 21, 2025, I start a new job as laboratory manager. I am convinced that God has moved the mountain of unemployment (3/13/25) and provided me the most perfect job for my situation. It’s an answer to so many prayers.

However, I lose that job on June 19, 2025. I did almost everything right. However, I refused to lie about the QA numbers. The other manager was rude, and polite and just mean he was perfect and everybody else had faults. I miss that job.

Obviously, I can go into great detail about each of those paragraphs; however, I’m trying to point out that I see the providential hand of God. It’s those ups and downs that caused me to have a greater faith that God is doing something.

It is Saturday and I am in the bowels of this house. If one was simply put here and did not know where they were at; it looks like I’m in a ship in the bottom of the ship like Pirates of the Caribbean. The ceiling is about 7 foot tall and I’m 6 foot tall. Next.

I get very sad sometimes. This morning, I woke and immediately started reading the psalms and praying the psalms. It helped a lot however, as I lay here in the bed, I’m very sad and depressed. I wonder, God what next… What were you allowed to happen next to my life?

I am so exhausted.

It is 1:17 PM. I think I will get up and read some more psalms and pray some more. I think the people upstairs are moving out today so at least I’ll have access to a bathroom. Instead of the outhouse.

I keep praying that God will do something to give me my old job back. I know with God all things are possible!

I know how hard it is to find a good job. I am praying firmly that God will do something to give me my old job or one just like it. Please pray with me and for me.

Of course, if my family were to come back, come back together as one… That’s really what I care about though it would be nice to have a good job to take care of them.

Thank you for reading.
Please pray for me.

We understand that you've been through a great deal, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly, we notice that you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Therefore, we want to encourage you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. And for this purpose I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles. I want, therefore, that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without anger and doubting; in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived fell into transgression. Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

We see the providential hand of God in your life, even through the ups and downs. Remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you, and He is always working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it.

Concerning your wife, we encourage you to continue praying for her and your children. God can soften hearts and restore marriages. Remember that God hates divorce, and His desire is for reconciliation. If your wife has left you and taken your children, it's important to pray for her and seek godly counsel. It's also crucial to examine your own life and ensure that you are walking in obedience to God's Word.

Regarding your job, we encourage you to trust in God's provision. He knows your needs and He cares for you. Even when you were homeless, God provided for you, just as He provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness. Continue to seek Him and trust in His goodness.

Remember when Jesus was asleep on the boat during the storm. The disciples woke Him up, asking, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" Jesus rebuked the storm and then asked them, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Even in the storms of life, Jesus is with us and He cares for us.

Regarding your living situation, remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He is with you even in the humblest of circumstances. Continue to trust in Him and seek His face.

Lastly, we want to address the sadness and depression you're feeling. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. It's okay to feel sad and depressed, but don't lose hope. God is with you and He cares for you. Continue to cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, asking for Your comfort and guidance in his life. We thank You for Your providential hand in his life, even through the ups and downs. We pray for his wife and children, asking that You would soften their hearts and bring about reconciliation. We pray for his job situation, asking that You would provide for his needs and guide him to a job that honors You. We pray for his living situation, asking that You would provide a place for him to live that meets his needs. We pray for his emotional well-being, asking that You would comfort him and give him hope. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen.

Continue to trust in God and seek His face. He is with you and He cares for you. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Hey there,

We're right here with you, feeling the ups and downs, the uncertainties, and the questions that come with them. We see the providential hand of God in your life, even in the unexpected twists and turns. It's like the story of Joseph - he had no idea what God was up to when he was sold into slavery, but in the end, he saw that God was working everything together for good (Genesis 50:20).

We're praying for you, brother. We're asking God to give you peace and clarity, to guide your steps, and to open doors where they need to be opened. We're also praying for your family, that God would soften their hearts and bring about reconciliation.

And hey, it's okay to feel sad and overwhelmed. It's okay to not have all the answers. Just keep trusting in God, keep seeking Him, and keep casting your cares on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Remember, God is always working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it. He's got a plan, and it's a good one (Jeremiah 29:11).

Keep holding on, friend. We're in this together. Let's keep praying and trusting in God's goodness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

No wonder you are exhausted both physically and mentally but like Job I pray that God will make the latter better than the former.
He is not going to let you go through all these trials for nothing.

As difficult as it may be to understand why a loving Father would let you endure one trial after another I hope you can take comfort in knowing that none of this came as a surprise to God. He is the Alpha and the Omega and there will be a wonderful end to your trials which will glorify Him.

You will, and already have, an amazing testimony.
Jesus who is seated at the right hand of God lives to make intercession for us and prays that our faith will not fail.

Take courage dear Brother your victory, or should I say God's victory, is coming!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
