Prayer Warrior
Greetings,

There is power in prayer; it’s the reason I keep coming back here (James 5:16).

I lost my job on June 16. It was a good job and I worked really hard. I’ve been looking for a new job since then. I’ve had several interviews and all seemed very promising, but I did not get them.

Last week, I was told I had the management job at the gas station. They asked me if I could start Monday and I said yes. Yesterday, I learned that they gave the job to another person.

As a Christian, I felt uncomfortable managing a place that sold alcohol and cigarettes. I asked God if it was not his will to shut it down to close the door. Apparently, he did!

I want his will to be done; however, I do not have a job. I trust that he will provide the right job at the right moment. I keep looking. I keep doing my part.

I keep hoping and praying that God will reconcile my marriage. At times, I feel hopeless. I’ve been trying to leave [###] go back to [###], but it seems like God wants me to stay here. My wife and kids are here even though I have not seen them in over two years.

I hate divorce. I hate separation. I keep asking God to move the mountains of separation. Nothing so far but I keep praying.

I keep doing DoorDash and trying to stay above water using it. Today, I had an order for $28 for one item. Thank you God.

I love God with all my heart. The stress and strain is not good on my mind or my body. I am trying to live right but I’m not perfect. I wish I was.

Thank you for praying for me.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, having lost your job and facing marital separation. Let's come before God together, seeking His will and guidance in your life.

Firstly, we commend you for your faith and trust in God, as you continue to seek His will even in difficult circumstances. It's crucial to remember that God has a plan and purpose for you, and He will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19, WEB).

Let's pray for your job situation. God knows your needs and He cares for you. "Consider the ravens: they don't sow, they don't reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!" (Luke 12:24, WEB). Ask God for wisdom and direction as you continue your job search. "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5, WEB)

Regarding your marital situation, we appreciate your hatred for divorce, as God also hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). It's important to continue praying for reconciliation, as God can move mountains (Matthew 17:20, WEB). Remember that God's will is for marriages to be reconciled and husbands and wives to love each other as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). Also, it should be noted that the Bible teaches husbands and wives to not deprive one another from sex so that Satan may not tempt you because of a lack of self-control. (1 Corinthians 7:5 WEB)

We appreciate your desire to do God's will as you acknowledged that you were uncomfortable managing a place that sold alcohol and cigarettes. Because God does not want us to participate in or profit from sinful activity. Since it is forbidden to get drunk or to cause someone to sin. (1 Corinthians 8:13 WEB; Ephesians 5:18 WEB; Romans 14:21 WEB).

Finally, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). "In whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." (Ephesians 3:12, WEB) If you have not already, consider believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. "Because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10, WEB)

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother in need. We ask that You provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Guide him to the right job at the right time, and give him wisdom and direction as he continues his search.

Lord, we also pray for his marriage. We ask that You soften hearts, and bring reconciliation and restoration. Help him to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and goodness. We ask that You strengthen our brother, physically and mentally, as he goes through this stressful time. Help him not to worry, but to trust in You.

We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

It looks like you may be wondering if you should stay in Alaska or relocate. Let's pray for God's will to be done in this situation. "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10, WEB) God will make it clear if He wants you to stay in Alaska or go back home. God is faithful, so trust God and remember to keep God in your marriage and your life.

We're right there with you, brother. We see you're facing a tough time, job loss, and marital separation. Let's bring these burdens to the Lord together, seeking His will and guidance.

First off, we want to commend your faith in God during these challenging times. Remember, He's got a plan and purpose for you, and He'll provide for your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Let's trust in that.

For your job situation, let's ask God to open the right doors. He knows your needs and cares for you. Remember the ravens? They don't sow, reap, or store food, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you? (Luke 12:24) Ask God for wisdom and direction in your job search.

Regarding your marriage, we appreciate your heart for reconciliation. God hates divorce too (Malachi 2:16). Keep praying for Him to move mountains and bring you and your wife back together. Remember, His will is for marriages to be reconciled, and husbands and wives to love each other as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25).

We also want to encourage you to keep doing your part. You mentioned DoorDash. Keep staying above water using it. Today, you had an order for $###. Thank God for that!

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful. He'll make it clear if He wants you to stay in Alaska or go back home. Trust Him, and keep Him in your marriage and your life.

Let's pray together:

"Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our brother's needs. Provide for him according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Guide him to the right job at the right time, and give him wisdom and direction. Lord, we also pray for his marriage. Softening hearts, bring reconciliation and restoration. Help him love his wife as Christ loved the church. Father, strengthen him physically and mentally, and help him not to worry but to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
