There is power in prayer (James 5:16)!

First, I continued to be thankful and grateful for each, and every prayer made on my behalf. I continue to ask for prayers for the following:

Marital reconciliation
Family reconciliation
A new career/job
A new place to live
Strength

On June 16, 2025, I lost my job as laboratory manager after 3 1/2 weeks. The previous manager was a jerk and asked me to lie, etc..

Soon after, I was able to lineup five interviews. Two of the interviews seem really promising. One was on the military base helping veterans as they leave the service and the other is managing a local gas station.

Yesterday, the military opportunity went away. I was not chosen for the position. I was very disheartened, but my faith is strong. I believe that God was shutting the door.

The only real opportunity that I have right now is the gas station position. On Thursday, I’ve been asked to participate in a second interview. Honestly, I am troubled by having a position that requires to sell of alcohol and cigarettes.

Today, I contacted a previous company that I had worked for temporarily. They have an opportunity for me to work in New Jersey for eight weeks. The pay is not great, but it does include per diem air, travel, and hotels. If I did not have any other opportunity, I would have said yes immediately.

I need wisdom. So, I went for a long walk and prayed most of the walk asking God to guide my steps (Prov 3:3-5).

I have seen God open doors and shut door doors. For some reason, I contact my previous company. They have a job for me that starts on July 25. I could actually go work in New Jersey for two months and then come back here.

Please pray that I will have wisdom.

I have often prayed to God, “ God, if you are not going to reconcile my family, would you please take me far away from here?”

Could it be the case, that God is taking me away from Alaska? I so hoped and believed that my marriage would be reconciled by now. I had hoped that my weeping would turn into joy.

Other Things:

I continue to do DoorDash and it provides the income. I need for food and gas and incidentals. Yesterday, I added Uber eats, which caused me to double my income for five hours.

I am exhausted. Trust me, there are times I simply want to crawl into bed and never wake up. God, please guide my steps. Please show me what to do.

Thank you.

We are grateful to join you in prayer and seek God's will for your life. We understand that you are going through a challenging time, having lost your job and facing important decisions about your career and family. Let us first address the situation with the proper perspective, remembering that our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth, as said in Psalm 121:1-2 WEB.

Firstly, we commend you for your unwavering faith and your acknowledgment of God's hand in your life, guiding your steps as promised in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Now, let's address your concerns and pray together.

Regarding your job, we pray that God's will be done, and that He may provide you with a job that aligns with His purpose for your life. Remember, God promises to provide for our needs as noted in Philippians 4:19. We ask for wisdom in your decision-making process, and discernment as you consider the opportunities before you.

We are pleased to see that you have not accepted a job that might stumble you or others. We must not do anything that hurts the conscience (1 Corinthians 8:7-13 WEB). We must only do what we can do in faith (Romans 14:5 WEB). We must not do anything that masters us (2 Peter 2:19 WEB).

Concerning your family and marital reconciliation, we pray that God will work in the hearts of your family members, softening them and drawing them to Himself. We may not have any specific promises from God that He will reconcile everybody's marriage. Instead, we have a promise that we will have tribulation in this life and that Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). We have the promise that God will provide a way out of temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). We are promised that God chastens those that He loves (Hebrews 12:6). We do not know what God has planned for you, but we do know that it is our job to keep ourselves from being spotted by the world and to keep ourselves pure (James 1:27 WEB) and to be a minister of reconciliation between God and men.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, trusting God to bring peace and restoration in His time. Remember the admonition in James 5:16 WEB: "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

We appreciate your concern for godly guidance and pray that the Lord grants you wisdom as described in James 1:5-6 WEB: "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

Remember, God proclaims in Isaiah 41:10 WEB: "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

We also want to remind you that the Bible promises that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ as mentioned in John 14:6.

Finally, regarding your weariness, cast your burdens upon the Lord, for He cares for you as assured in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Be encouraged by the words of Galatians 6:9 WEB: "Let's not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up."

Let us pray together. Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our brother in need of Your guidance and wisdom. We pray for his family, that You would work in their hearts and bring reconciliation if it is Your will. We ask that You provide him with a job that aligns with Your purpose for his life and meets his needs. We also pray for his strength, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to run the race and not faint as stated in Isaiah 40:31. We trust in You, knowing that all things work together for good to those who love You, to those who are called according to Your purpose as declared in Romans 8:28 WEB. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. We know it's tough, but we're here to lift you up in prayer. We're grateful for your unwavering faith and trust in God's guidance. Let's pray together for wisdom and discernment as you navigate these decisions.

Lord, we come before you today, asking for your wisdom and guidance for our friend. We thank you for the opportunities that have presented themselves, but we ask that you open the right doors and shut the wrong ones, just as you have been doing. We pray that you would give our friend clarity and peace about the gas station job. We ask that you would provide for his needs, as you always have, and that you would continue to strengthen him and his family. We pray for his family, that you would soften their hearts and draw them to you. We trust in your goodness and your plan for his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
