Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not let your heart be consumed by the fear of poverty, nor let the shame of your circumstances drive you to believe that God has abandoned you. You cry out in your loneliness and lack, and you name your sins with anguish. I hear a soul that trembles, yet this very trembling can become the door to life if you let it lead you to true repentance, not the kind that merely weeps and remains unchanged.

You speak of your poverty, your reliance on the help of the state, your sickness. But tell me, why do you dread poverty as though it were the greatest of evils? Has not Christ our Lord shown you otherwise? He who was rich beyond all measure, for your sake became poor, so that through His poverty you might become rich. If you believe this, then poverty itself loses its sting. It is not your empty purse that defiles you, but the state of your soul. You see, many who have abundance live in constant need of more, trembling at every loss, slaves to their possessions. The one who bears poverty with a thankful heart, who labors honestly even in small things, possesses a peace that wealth cannot buy. Think of the apostles, mending their worn-out nets, working with their hands, supporting themselves in lowliness. That is blessed poverty, not the poverty that forces one to steal or to despair, but the poverty that teaches dependence on God and produces virtue by honest labor.

Do not say that your lack of money excuses the sins you have committed. It is not poverty that drives a man to steal, but idleness and a corrupt will. The poor man who works, who walks in the light, sleeps in safety; the one who seeks gain through wickedness lives in fear and constant danger. So with the sins you allude to in your flesh. Do not use your distress as a cloak for them. You are right to be disgusted with them, but that disgust must turn you away from the sin itself, not simply fill you with despair about your condition. Esau wept bitterly, but his tears were not true repentance because his heart still plotted murder against his brother. The sorrow that merely hates the consequences of sin but clings to the desire is a useless thing. True repentance rends the heart from the sin and cleaves to Christ, no matter how many times one has fallen.

You also speak of having neglected God, of wasting hours with the radio, of having set your mind on useless things rather than on Him. This is a heavy weight, but the heavenly gift of forgiveness is not withdrawn from those who truly return. Do not imagine that your sins have placed you beyond help. The laver of regeneration, the partaking of the Holy Spirit, the taste of the good word, these are not small things. But if a man after tasting these turns back and crucifies the Son of God afresh by a persistent love of sin, he makes his renewal much more difficult. That is a fearful thing. Yet the door stands open to the one who comes with a lowly spirit, not merely saying "Lord, help me" while clutching his sin, but casting it utterly away and crying out for mercy with a changed will.

So then, embrace lowliness in all things. Be lowly toward God, confessing your weakness without pretending to have strength of your own. Be lowly toward your neighbor, even when you feel the shame of your poverty. It is the poor in spirit who are blessed, who inherit the kingdom. Your loneliness, your sickness, your lack of money, none of these can separate you from the love of Christ if you cling to Him in humility and turn from your evil ways.

Stand up, then, and do the work that is before you, however small it may seem. Support yourself by honest means, and do not despise the labor of your hands. Pray without ceasing, not with empty words but with a heart that seeks the face of God. And let your cry for help be not to angels or any other, but to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who became poor for you and knows your every need. He does not despise a broken and contrite heart. Cast yourself upon His mercy, not in the despair that says "I am too vile," but in the faith that says "Lord, you are able to make me clean." That is where peace begins.

Your cry is not too filthy for God to hear. The shame you feel over the sexual sin, the wasted time, and the neglect of God is doing what God's law does: it shows you the mark you have missed. The law cannot make you clean. It exposes the wound so you will go to the healer. Do not turn that exposure into self hatred. Turn it into confession. Scripture says the one who conceals sin will not prosper, but the one who confesses and forsakes it will receive mercy. That door is open to you right now.

You said you are lonely and under financial pressure, and you feel like a case in a system. Those troubles are real, but they are not your deepest problem. Your deepest problem is the sin that separates you from God. Jesus came for that very problem. He is the true sin offering. The old sacrifices could only cover guilt for a time, but his blood cleanses from all sin. He took your guilt, your trash, and your filth on the cross. He died for what you have done sexually, for the hours you gave away, for the hardened places in your heart.

Because of him, sin no longer has to have dominion over you. You have felt ruled by your desires and by empty distractions. That bondage is real but not final. If you confess your sin and turn from it, God will forgive you and cleanse you. You asked for help from Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and angels. The help you need is Jesus himself. No angel died for you. He alone takes away sin and brings you back into fellowship with God.

So stop hiding. Agree with God about what you have done, ask him to wash you, and take a concrete step away from what feeds the sin. Turn off the things you have used to drown out his voice. Bring your body and your time under his lordship. Do not use sin to manage your loneliness. Bring your family burdens to him as well and ask for wisdom. You are not beyond reach. The fact that you cried out for help is already the beginning. Let that cry become confession, and let confession become trust in Jesus Christ. He will not turn you away.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply difficult season. It has been on our hearts to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in your loneliness, financial need, and the heavy weight of guilt and shame you’ve carried. We’ve prayed for His mercy to break every chain of bondage—whether in habits, thoughts, or circumstances—that has kept you from walking in the fullness of His love and purpose for you.

Father, we asked You to reveal Yourself as Jehovah-Jireh, the Provider, in every area of lack, and to quiet the voices of condemnation with the truth of Your forgiveness. We’ve interceded for restoration in your relationship with Him, that you would know His presence as a loving Father who does not abandon His children, even in their weakest moments. We’ve also prayed for protection over your mind and heart, that the enemy’s lies would lose their power as the light of Christ shines into the darkest places.

If You have already moved in ways we cannot yet see—if doors have opened, peace has come, or conviction has turned to repentance and freedom—we would be overjoyed to hear of Your faithfulness. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! But if the struggle persists, we want you to know we are still here. Do not hesitate to post this request again so we may continue to war in prayer on your behalf.

Above all, we pray that you would encounter the relentless love of Jesus, who came not to condemn but to save, and who is able to redeem even the most broken places. May His grace be your strength as you press into Him, and may the Holy Spirit lead you step by step into the new life He has for you. We stand with you, believing that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
