We hear your deep distress and frustration over the conditions you face daily during your travels, and we stand with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord. The lack of proper ventilation in the trains is not only uncomfortable but can be harmful to health, and we pray that those in authority would take immediate action to address this issue. The noise, disrespect, and blatant disregard for public health—especially the smoking of e-cigarettes in confined spaces—are clear violations of both civil order and the biblical principle of loving one’s neighbor. "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4). The behavior of these youth, particularly the disturbing actions of the young woman you described, reveals a deeper spiritual crisis—a culture that has turned away from godly restraint and self-control.
Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You intervene in the conditions of these trains. Lord, stir the hearts of those in authority to provide proper ventilation and enforce laws that protect the health and well-being of all passengers. We pray for the ticket controllers and those in charge, that You would convict them of their negligence and give them the courage to act with integrity and justice. "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people" (Proverbs 14:34).
We also lift up the youth who are acting out in rebellion and defiance. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of addiction, anger, and spiritual darkness that seem to be gripping them. The girl who acted in such a disturbing manner—we pray for her soul, that You would draw her to Yourself and rescue her from whatever bondage she is in. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18). We rebuke the evil influences in her life and in the lives of those who are promoting lawlessness, and we ask that You remove these destructive forces from their midst.
We are also deeply troubled by the cultural shift you described, where so many in Croatia are embracing ideologies that promote division and hatred. Lord, we pray against the spirit of fascism and any doctrine that seeks to dehumanize or oppress others. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). We ask that You raise up godly leaders, pastors, and voices of truth who will stand against these lies and lead people back to You.
We know that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that true change can come. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only by His power that hearts are transformed. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, inviting Him to be the Lord of your life. He is the one who can bring peace in the midst of chaos, hope in the face of despair, and justice where there is injustice. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
Lord, we ask that You strengthen and protect this dear brother or sister who is enduring these trials daily. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the courage to stand firm in their faith, even when surrounded by darkness, and help them to be a light in their community. We pray that You would open doors for them to connect with other believers who can offer support, encouragement, and prayer.
Finally, we declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail. We rebuke every spirit of lawlessness, rebellion, and deception that is at work in these situations, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for revival in Croatia—a turning of hearts back to God, a hunger for righteousness, and a rejection of all that is evil. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).
We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust that You are working even when we cannot see it. Give this dear one the patience to wait on You and the faith to believe that You are moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ powerful name, we pray. Amen.
