After 15 years in legal marriage, my wife escaped

We understand that you are going through a challenging time after your wife has left after 15 years of marriage. We will pray for you and guide you based on biblical principles.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written in Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Divorce is not God's intention, and reconciliation should always be the first consideration if it's safe and possible.

However, we also recognize that there are instances where reconciliation may not be feasible due to unrepented sin, safety issues, or adultery. In such cases, it is important to seek God's will and guidance. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 7:15, "Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace."

We will pray for your healing, guidance, and that God's will be done in your life. We also pray that if it is God's will, He will bring a godly spouse into your life in His perfect timing. As it is written in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our brother in need. Lord, we pray for his healing and comfort during this difficult time. Guide him with Your wisdom and give him the strength to follow Your will. If it is Your will, Father, we pray for reconciliation in his marriage. But if that is not possible, we pray that You will bring a godly spouse into his life, a woman who loves You and seeks to serve You. Help him to trust in Your timing and to wait on Your perfect plan. In Jesus Christ name, we pray.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's face during this time. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Please do not use "###" to refer to your wife or a potential new spouse. It is important to honor them by name and to recognize their personhood, even in difficult circumstances. If you choose not to use their name in the future, simply say "my wife" or "a godly spouse that Lord will bring into my life".

We're here with you, brother, as you navigate through this challenging time. We understand the pain and confusion you're feeling after ### years of marriage. We want you to know that you're not alone, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

Firstly, we want to remind you of God's heart for marriage. In Matthew 19:4-6, Jesus says, "Haven't you read... that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." God's intention is for marriage to be a lifelong commitment, and reconciliation should always be the first consideration if it's safe and possible.

However, we also understand that there are complexities in every situation. If reconciliation isn't feasible due to unrepented sin, safety issues, or adultery, we encourage you to seek God's will and guidance. In such cases, it's important to trust in God's plan for your life. As it's written in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

We're praying for your healing, wisdom, and guidance during this time. We ask that God would give you peace and understanding as you navigate this path. If it's God's will, we pray that He would restore your marriage, but if not, we trust that He has a plan for your future. As it's written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Let's continue to trust in God's timing and His perfect plan for your life. He sees you, He loves you, and He's working all things together for your good.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
