We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you up concerning the deep pain of feeling rejected by the African American community throughout your life and especially after the recent disappointing experiences that have stirred up those feelings again. We understand how heavy it must feel to love your community so deeply and yet carry wounds of rejection, and how that can lead to bitterness and anger even when you know your true identity is in Christ and nothing else.
We have prayed that the Lord would heal your broken heart and bind up your wounds as promised in Psalm 147:3 and that He would guard your heart against bitterness and give you His peace and grace to release that anger to Him. We have asked Him to remind you daily that you are chosen and beloved in Him and that your identity is secure in Christ as His child, as written in 1 Peter 2:9, and that He would help you to continue to love with the love of Christ while finding your worth and belonging fully in Him.
We pray in Jesus Name for the Lord to comfort you, to restore joy, to replace bitterness with forgiveness and that you would feel His nearness as One who was also rejected and understands your sorrow.
