Beloved of All
Pray all the adudress my husband is in old in in the name of Jesus Christ amen

We hear your heartfelt cry for your husband’s deliverance from adultery, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The pain of betrayal in marriage is deep, but God’s Word is clear: adultery is a grievous sin that breaks the sacred covenant between husband, wife, and the Lord (Exodus 20:14, Malachi 2:14-16). Yet we serve a God who is rich in mercy and mighty to save (Ephesians 2:4-5).

First, we must rebuke the spirit of adultery operating in your husband’s life. The Bible declares, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). This sin not only wounds you but also separates him from the holiness of God. We take authority over this deception in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding every ungodly soul tie, lustful thought, and unrepentant heart to be broken now. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). We pray for conviction to flood his heart, leading him to true repentance.

We also lift you up, dear sister. The betrayal you feel is valid, but we encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness, for it only harms you further (Hebrews 12:15). Instead, we pray for God’s healing balm to cover your wounds. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not alone, God sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We pray for wisdom as you navigate this trial, whether that means setting godly boundaries, seeking biblical counseling, or extending grace if repentance comes. But remember: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If your husband remains unrepentant, we must trust God’s justice and protection over you.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage before Your throne. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of adultery and every lie that has taken root in this husband’s heart. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over this union. Father, break the chains of lust and deception, and let Your Holy Spirit convict him of his sin. Soften his heart to repentance and restore what has been broken. For the wife, Lord, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith, surround her with godly support, and let her trust in Your faithfulness. If restoration is Your will, we pray for a marriage rebuilt on the foundation of Christ. If not, we pray for Your protection and provision over her life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen."

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a biblical counselor who can walk alongside you during this time. You are deeply loved by the Father, and He has not abandoned you. "The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank Him" (Psalm 28:7 WEB). Stand firm in faith, sister, God is fighting for you.

We hear you, and we’re holding this need with you. Watching a husband grow older and face the many changes that come with age can be wearying and tender all at once. We’re grateful you brought this to prayer and that you’re standing with him in it.

It’s easy for any of us to slip into feeling that worth is measured by youth or productivity, but God doesn’t define us that way. Your husband’s life has deep, lasting value because he is made in God’s image, and this season, even with its struggles, is held in His faithful hands. You’re not alone in loving him through it, and you don’t have to carry the weight by yourself. If you belong to a church, consider letting a few trusted friends or a pastor know some of what you’re facing; practical help or simply a listening ear can be a lifeline for both of you.

We are praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear husband to You. You see every challenge his body and mind are facing. Draw near to him with Your comfort and peace. Strengthen his wife with daily grace, patience, and the steady assurance that You are with them. Surround them with the support they need, and help them sense Your presence in every ordinary moment. In Your name we pray, amen.

How easily the cries of a troubled heart are turned into prayer when the Spirit lays hold of them. The many "addresses", the multitude of cares that crowd upon your husband in his old age, become so many reasons for petition, not for worry. Strike out the word "care" and write in its place "prayer." Every infirmity, every anxiety, every uncertainty of his advancing years is a summons to the Throne of Grace. When a wife lifts her husband before the Lord, she engages in that sweetest of all supplications, intercession. The prayer that pleads for another, that carries a beloved name into the presence of God, is the very incense Christ Himself ever offers for His own. It is a prayer that has stayed plagues and opened heaven.

Let your prayer be made known unto God, presenting each particular need with the simplicity of a child telling a father her trouble. Yet remember to mix the supplication with thanksgiving. Thank Him for the years already granted, for every mercy shown to the house, for the very burden that drives you to your knees. This is the blessed cure for care, prayer mingled with gratitude. How can you doubt that the Lord, who has been a Husband to your soul in faithfulness and provision, will forget your earthly husband now? He who set His special love upon His people in their desert wanderings will not desert your companion at the end of the way.

But take care that the prayer is not stained with any unbelief or self-reliance that would clog its wheels. Lay hold of the promise, for true prayer is a reminding of God of His own Word, not a struggle to persuade a reluctant judge. Say to Him, "Remember the Word unto Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope." If the answer tarries, be not discouraged. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time. Though the days be long and the afflictions many, let your prayer still be in his calamities. Do not let the evil suggestion that prayer is a fancy drive you from the closet, but cry in the daytime and at night, and the Lord will hear.

Let this trial become the material for your own edification. If you find prayer for him a heavy dragging thing, look to the blood that cleanses from all sin and seek to be quickened in your own spirit. A living, importunate, continued prayer offered in humility and confidence is the very breath of the spiritual life. So, let the church also plead for this individual, for united supplication has a peculiar promise. And pray with this hope: the answer may not come in the expected way, as Jacob found at Jabbok, but it will come. The Lord who is a Husband to the aged and the weary will prove that He is not a wilderness to his soul, but a land of rivers and springs. In the quiet of your room, put every address of need into the hand of Jesus Christ. The result belongs to God. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayer regarding the many concerns that attend your husband’s old age. This is a weighty season, yet it is precisely in such times that the soul can be most truly instructed. Do not let your heart be consumed with the outward decay, for while the body bends toward the earth, the spirit may be lifted to heaven. Seek first that your husband be found sober, grave, and temperate, sound in the faith and abounding in patience, for these are the adornments that please God, not the fleeting handsomeness of youth which age so swiftly tarnishes. If he clings to the lusts of younger years and remains intractable, let him not say the sins were of ignorance, for old age itself pleads guilty against the man who does not change. Yet even now, at the eleventh hour, it is possible to recover all, for the Master of the vineyard offers the full wage to those who turn with their whole heart.

And you, his wife, learn from the elder women what becomes holiness: be a teacher of good things by your own quiet and chaste behavior. Love your husband, but love God more than your husband. For if you set your affection supremely on the Immortal Protector, then even should widowhood come, you will not taste its bitterness, for He who is most beloved cannot be taken from you. Do not fret overmuch about the earthly covering of your body or seek to appear beautiful by outward array; that path leads only to shame and grief. The woman who fears the Lord keeps at home, is obedient to her own husband as the Church to Christ, and in silence possesses her soul with that godly fear which is her true ornament. No costly raiment can rescue from death, nor drive away disease, nor stay the advance of years; but the youth that knows no old age and the riches that endure are given to those who count all else as loss for the sake of Christ.

Therefore, for your husband who is full of days, pray that he may put away irritability, slowness, and every weight of age that becomes an excess of wickedness. Let him not be as one who raves through wine or sorrow, but as one whose mind is well-tempered and vigilant. And for yourself, cease to be riveted to the unstable things of this life. What would not the aged give to be young again? Yet God offers a youth immortal to those who despise the present trifles. Husband and wife, both together, stand bound by a lifelong covenant; but remember that even this holy bond is transitory, while the soul’s marriage to Christ is eternal. So then, let your daily prayer be that you both may run the race of old age not with complaining, but with the hope of the resurrection, knowing that while sin makes men shameless, the fear of God makes them bold only in well-doing.

Pray then, and I will pray with you, that the Lord who knows our frame and remembers that we are dust will grant this man a grave and sober spirit, purged from the follies of youth, and will give you, his wife, the meek and quiet spirit which in His sight is of great price. May you together be found faithful, not provoked to anger, not false accusers, but examples to the younger, that the word of God be not blasphemed. And when the time of the body’s dissolution draws near, may you both stand without terror, having loved not the world nor the things in the world, but Him who is the Resurrection and the Life. Amen.

Your prayer request reaches the throne of grace, and I am joining you in calling on the name of Jesus for your husband. What a precious truth that in marriage, two become one flesh. The Lord designed this union so that your burdens are his and his are yours. When you ask for prayer concerning his adversities, you are not pleading alone; the very unity of your covenant reflects something deeper about how God binds Himself to His people. So take heart: as you lift him up, you stand on the solid ground of a bond God Himself has forged.

Those adversities, especially in old age, can feel like a heavy yoke. Yet our God is a Deliverer. He brought His people out of bondage in Egypt through the blood of a lamb, and that deliverance pointed forward to the ultimate rescue: the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Every hardship, every weakness, every failing is ultimately an offense against the Lord, as King David discovered when he fell into grievous sin. But David turned back and confessed, “Against thee, and thee only, have I sinned.” So we can bring all the struggles of age and the weight of past failures to the foot of the cross, knowing that forgiveness and cleansing flow freely from Christ’s sacrifice.

Because Jesus, our Passover Lamb, has been slain, we are no longer held captive by sin or by the fear of death. In Him, the sting of decay is removed. The Scriptures remind us that when the dead rise, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven. That does not diminish the beauty of your earthly union; it magnifies the coming glory. The frailties and afflictions that now mark your husband’s old age will one day be swallowed up in resurrection life. What a hope! The troubles of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed.

So I pray with you now: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, look upon this husband. Address every adversity he faces, whether in body, mind, or spirit. Grant him strength for today, comfort in his weariness, and the deep peace of your presence. Let him know that his help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth, who neither slumbers nor sleeps. Remind him and his wife of your unbreakable love, sealed by the blood of the Lamb. And as they walk this last stretch together, may they fix their eyes not on what is seen, which is temporary, but on what is unseen, which is eternal. Amen.
