Additional Prayer Request

Beloved of All
I have applied for a new employment opportunity. If it is God's will, may He open this door wide for me. May He grant me a position with a salary at least three times higher than my current one, greater opportunities for growth, purpose, and impact. If this is not His best for me, may He lead me to something even better according to His perfect will and timing. In jesus name

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for new employment. Father, we know that You hold every opportunity in Your hands, and we trust that You have a perfect plan for each of Your children. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We commit this job opportunity to You, asking that if it aligns with Your will, You would open the door wide and grant favor in this pursuit.

Lord, we pray for provision, not just for a higher salary, but for a position that brings true purpose, growth, and impact. You promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We trust that You are leading toward something that will not only meet financial needs but also align with Your calling and bring glory to Your name.

Yet, Father, we also surrender this request to Your wisdom. If this opportunity is not Your best, we ask that You close the door gently and redirect toward what You have prepared. Your Word assures us in Psalm 37:23, "A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way." We rest in the knowledge that You delight in guiding Your children toward what is best.

We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or doubt that may try to steal peace in this season. Instead, we declare Philippians 4:19 over this situation: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Whether the answer comes through this job or another, we trust in Your provision.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom in this process. James 1:5 reminds us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Grant discernment in interviews, clarity in decisions, and patience in waiting. May this journey draw us closer to You, deepening our dependence on Your timing and Your ways.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re glad you shared this, you’ve put your hope in God’s hands even while you’re asking for something specific, and that takes real trust. Waiting to see whether a door will swing wide or stay closed is never easy, especially when a different job could change so much for you and your family.

Sometimes the biggest growth happens while we’re still in the waiting. As you go through this process, we’d encourage you to pay attention not just to the external door but to the person God is shaping you to be. A new role isn’t only about salary or title; it’s also about whether it fits how God has wired you, your strengths, your character, the kind of impact you long to have. It can help to talk with a wise friend or two who know you well and can help you see whether this opportunity aligns with who you are becoming, not just what it offers.

We’re not going to pretend we know which way this will go. But we do believe God sees your diligence, your desire to provide well, and your willingness to accept whatever He ordains. So we’re praying with you that He’ll make the path plain, whether through an unmistakable yes, a surprisingly better no, or a slow, unfolding sense of direction.

Father, we lift up our friend right now. You know the job that’s been applied for and the hopes tied to it. Give clear wisdom to those making the decision, and give deep peace no matter the outcome. Open the right door at the right time, and provide for every genuine need along the way. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

You sit with your heart half-bright, half-shadowed, don't you? The hope of this new door pulls one way, and the fear that it might not open pulls another. So you have come, asking the Lord to fling it wide if it is His will, and if it is not, to lead you to something better still. That little word "if", it trembles on the lip, yet it holds more solid ground under it than a thousand boasting certainties. You are not the man who strides into tomorrow announcing what he will do, where he will go, what he will gain, as though the hours were his servants and the years his bankers. No, you have laid this thing before the throne, and that alone tells me the Spirit has been teaching you.

You remember how a child, when the room grows dim and strange shapes gather, will reach up and slip his hand into his father's palm. He does not know the way to bed, but the father does. He does not need to name every turning or understand why this hall is darker than the last, it is enough that his hand is held. And so it is with you just now. What looks like a door may be a door. It may swing open with such readiness that you will almost laugh at the ease of it, and you will step into provision you did not earn and purpose you did not manufacture. The salary, the growth, the impact, these are not small things to the One who feeds the ravens and arrays the lily. He knows you need them. He does not grudge you them. If they lie behind that door, He will open it, and no man will shut it.

But if that door stays shut, if the latch does not lift, if the silence stretches, what then? Has He turned His face from you? No, child, He has turned His face toward something you cannot yet see. The jewel-cutter knows that one facet must be cut before another can catch the light, and the gem must be pressed to the wheel in a particular order. What feels to you like refusal may be His hand steadying you for a better thing that is not yet in view. The ship is not wrecked when it tacks away from the harbor it first aimed for; it is only making for deeper water, and the Pilot knows the channel. You have asked for something at least three times greater. But your God does not measure by arithmetic. He who gave His Son, His Son, mind you, for such as you and me, will He not with Him also freely give you all things? All things, in their season, in their right proportion, in the shape that fits the soul He is fashioning for His own crown.

The solid ground under you this hour is not the new position. It is not even the old one. It is the character of the God to whom you have prayed. The world spins and the markets shift and men make promises they cannot keep, but our God is not a weathercock. What He purposes, He does. When your power is gone, and every one of us comes to that place, where the rope-end slips through our fingers and the last candle gutters, that is when He rises to act. Not before, perhaps, but then. And until then, you are learning to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which is a harder lesson than any office will teach you, but a sweeter one by far.

So go ahead and knock on that door. Go with your hand in His. And if He opens it, praise Him with your whole heart. And if He leads you past it, down a corridor you did not expect, through a smaller gate that opens into a wider garden, bless Him then too, for He has kept His word in the keeping of you. The great Witness has been given to the people, not to the clever, not to the lucky, but to the people, to you. And He who did not spare His own Son will not be a miser with His providence.

---

Lord Jesus, our Leader and Commander, take this dear soul by the hand. You see the door and You see the heart. If this opportunity is from You, swing it wide, and let no adversary block the way. Provide beyond the asking, and let the work bear fruit that lasts. But if the path bends another way, grant quietness and confidence, and the deep-down knowledge that a closed door in Your will is a mercy, not a curse. Keep this one from fretting; keep them from rushing ahead of the cloud. Be their dwelling-place, their fixed point when all else sways, and let them know, as they rise and as they lie down, that they are Your jewel, bought with blood, and kept for glory. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so thankful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in agreement with you before the Lord concerning this employment opportunity. It has been our joy to lift up your request, asking our Heavenly Father to either swing that door wide open with a salary three times what you now earn, greater growth, deeper purpose, and wider impact—or, if this is not His best, to close it gently and lead you to something even better in His perfect timing.

If God has already answered—whether by granting the position or by redirecting your steps—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice together. If the answer is still on the way, please feel free to post this request again so we can continue praying in faith alongside you. Either way, we are trusting the Lord to bless you abundantly as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ name.
