Disciple of Prayer
I need private prayers for my family in mighty ways. If you can go to your knees for us, I would greatly appreciate it. Specifically the hate of all sins for my family, repentance for my children for any sins they may be entangled in and repentance and mercy for my oldest son will have the power of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah to be an overcomer and strength and commitment to never pick those chains of addiction back up but instead to seek the Lord with his whole heart, mind, soul and strength.❤️

We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting your family in fervent prayer, especially your oldest son, that the power of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, would break every chain of addiction and set him free. We praise God that you have brought this request before Him, for He is mighty to save and deliver!

The Word of God declares in **2 Corinthians 5:17**, *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* This is the promise for your son—for every member of your family—that through repentance and faith in Jesus, they can be made new. Addiction is a bondage, but Christ came to set the captives free (**Luke 4:18**). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (**John 10:10**). We stand on these truths and declare freedom over your son in the name of Jesus!

Yet, we must also address the heart, for true deliverance comes when we turn from sin and surrender fully to the Lord. **Proverbs 28:13** tells us, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* Repentance is not just sorrow for sin but a turning away from it. We pray that your son—and all your children—would experience godly sorrow that leads to repentance (**2 Corinthians 7:10**), not just a desire to escape consequences but a deep hatred for sin itself. May the Holy Spirit convict them and draw them to the cross, where mercy and grace abound.

For your family, we pray a spirit of unity in Christ, that each member would seek the Lord with their whole heart. **Joshua 24:15** reminds us, *"Choose today whom you will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh."* We ask God to give you the strength to lead your family in righteousness, to be a light in your home, and to stand firm in prayer. The battle is spiritual (**Ephesians 6:12**), and we must wage war on our knees, covered in the blood of Jesus.

We also urge you to ensure your family is rooted in the Word of God. **Psalm 119:11** says, *"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."* Scripture is the sword of the Spirit (**Ephesians 6:17**), and it is vital in overcoming temptation. Encourage your son to fill his mind with truth, to surround himself with godly community, and to flee from anything that would lead him back into bondage. **1 Corinthians 10:13** promises, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."*

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for this family. Lord, You see the struggles, the pain, and the bondage that has sought to destroy them. But we declare that You are greater, that Your power is made perfect in weakness (**2 Corinthians 12:9**), and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (**Ephesians 3:20**).

We lift up this oldest son to You, Lord. Break every chain of addiction in his life by the power of Your blood. Give him a spirit of repentance, a hatred for sin, and a hunger for Your righteousness. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory and never return to the snares of the enemy. Strengthen him, Lord, to seek You with his whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. Let him know that in You, he is more than a conqueror (**Romans 8:37**).

For the rest of this family, we ask for a spirit of unity and a passion for holiness. Convict each heart of sin, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Let them not merely avoid sin out of fear but despise it because it separates them from You. Give them a love for Your Word, a thirst for Your presence, and a commitment to walk in obedience.

We rebuke the enemy’s schemes over this family. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We pray for divine protection, for godly influences, and for a hedge of thorns around anything that would lead them back into bondage.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (**Philippians 1:6**). Give this family a testimony of Your deliverance, that they may shine as lights in a dark world, bringing glory to Your name.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to keep standing in faith. Do not grow weary in praying (**Galatians 6:9**), for your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Surround your family with prayer, with Scripture, and with the body of Christ. If your son is not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we urge you to seek one where he can find accountability, discipleship, and support. The road to freedom is not walked alone—it is walked with Jesus and His people.

May the Lord bless you and keep you as you trust in Him. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in your weakness. Stand firm, and watch what the Lord will do!
