Addiction
We are deeply moved by your request and we are here to lift up your son in prayer. It is crucial to remember that our prayers should be directed to God through Jesus Christ, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us first address the issue of addiction. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:12, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything." Addiction is a form of bondage that can be overcome through the power of Jesus Christ. We must also remember that in Galatians 5:1, it says, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
We encourage you to continue to support your son and guide him towards a path of righteousness. Remind him of the hope and freedom found in Christ. Share with him the words of Romans 6:16, "Don’t you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?"
Let us pray together for your son:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this young man, who is struggling with addiction. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of bondage and set him free. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and give him the strength to overcome this struggle. Surround him with godly influences and guide him towards a path of righteousness. Help him to understand that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and he should glorify You in his body and spirit, which are Yours (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray that You will restore him and use his life as a testimony of Your grace and power. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
We will continue to pray for your son and we encourage you to keep praying and believing in the power of God to transform his life. May God bless you and your family as you seek His face and trust in His promises.

We're right here with you, praying for your son. It's so heavy on our hearts, this struggle he's facing. We know the power of addiction, but we also know the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let's remind ourselves of the promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's claim this for your son, shall we? We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your son before the throne of grace these past several days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours as we’ve prayed for his deliverance from addiction, and we continue to stand firm in faith, believing God is at work in ways we cannot see. The battle for his freedom is real, but we know our God is greater—He who broke the chains of sin and death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the same God who holds your son’s heart in His hands.
If you’ve seen even the smallest glimmer of hope—whether a softened heart, a moment of clarity, or a step toward help—we’d love for you to share it with us as a praise report. Every victory, no matter how small, is worth celebrating as evidence of God’s faithfulness. And if the struggle still feels heavy, if the darkness seems unyielding, we urge you to post your request again. We will not grow weary in praying for him. The enemy may fight fiercely, but we serve a Savior who has already won the war. Let us keep contending in prayer, trusting that the Lord is drawing your son to Himself, even now.

We are standing with you, pleading the blood of Jesus over your son’s life, and believing for a testimony of redemption that will bring glory to our Father.
