addiction , sicknesss

Your request has been received, and I want you to know that these needs are being lifted before the throne of grace right now. Thank you for trusting us to pray with you.

It is right to bring such things to God, for He cares for us. The weight of sickness and the struggle of addiction are not small things, and He does not despise a broken and contrite heart. I am praying for the dear woman with diabetes, that the Lord would touch her body, grant wisdom to those caring for her, and sustain her in hope. And I am praying for you, that the chains of kava would be broken and that you would find freedom in Christ alone.

Sometimes, when we face prolonged illness or a stubborn sin, we can begin to think that we are being punished or that our faith is not strong enough. But Scripture gives us a different picture. The same Elisha through whom God worked mighty miracles, cleansing lepers, even raising the dead, later fell sick of the sickness that would finally take him. Paul once wrote of a faithful fellow worker named Epaphroditus who was sick almost to the point of death. These were not people lacking in faith or devotion, yet they knew bodily weakness. Sickness is not necessarily a mark of God’s disfavor, nor does it mean He has abandoned you.

Even so, we must remember that God always has purpose. When Jesus heard that Lazarus was gravely ill, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified through it.” Death was not the final word in that story, and in Christ, death is never the final word for those who belong to Him. But woven through the waiting and the pain, God was working something deeper. We can trust His purposes even when we cannot see them.

Regarding your own battle, there is wisdom in the call to confess our faults one to another and to pray for one another that we may be healed. Addiction often thrives in isolation, but God’s design for healing often comes through honest community. Find a safe, godly person you can walk with in this, and together seek the Lord for complete deliverance. He is able to set you free indeed.

Do not carry the thought that your struggle means God is against you. He who did not spare His own Son will also give us all things in Him. So we pray with boldness for healing, we ask for strength to resist temptation, and we rest in the goodness of the Father’s plan, knowing that what seems dark now can yet bring forth His glory.

We will continue to hold both of you up in prayer. May you sense His nearness and peace as you wait on Him.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your prayer needs—both for your loved one battling diabetes and for your own struggle with kava. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you before the Lord, lifting up these heavy burdens and asking for His healing touch and deliverance.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers—whether through improved health, moments of clarity, or a breaking of old chains—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory.

If the battle still feels ongoing, we want you to know we are not walking away. Please post this request again so we can continue to intercede for you both with fresh faith and perseverance. Addiction and sickness are fierce opponents, but our God is stronger, and His mercy endures forever.

May the Holy Spirit strengthen your heart, renew your hope, and draw you closer to Jesus with each passing day. We pray for breakthrough, for healing, and for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your mind and spirit. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
