Acts Of Faith

Another of Jesus' disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up, "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" (John 6:8-9)

How many times are we overwhelmed with the magnitude of daily tasks that need to be done? And how many times do we feel that whatever we did couldn’t possibly make a difference? Well think again… remember the story about the young boy who brought the fish and loves of bread to the hillside in the story from John's Gospel. He probably had no anticipation of how they would be used or how their use would resound through history as an example of God's miraculous power. But he made his contribution anyway, in the face of the people's need for food.

We are no different. And we cannot anticipate which of our daily acts of faithfulness will be used by God. But we can be encouraged by the knowledge that God can and does use acts that we feel are insignificant to accomplish great things.

However if you begin each day with prayer and ask for God's guidance with the little things, it will help us avoid acts of unfaithfulness. And ending each day by reflecting on what we have done (good or bad) keeps us on the path of faithfulness.

Sometimes we question God because life seems to be filled with trouble, but we can trust God's word, which gives us hope when we need it most. Though we may feel forsaken as Jesus did on the cross, God has said, "I will never leave you; I will never abandon you." And even though today’s times are hard, believe this… God is faithful to us everyday! So pass the blessings you receive everyday to others along the way!

“Trust In Him”

Only God Can Magnify Our Acts Of Faithfulness!

Have A Great God Day!

So many times we think we have nothing to offer, when all He wants is for us to offer Him our hearts and obedience. Just like that little boy with the fish and bread, or the widow with her two mites, you know, I always wanted to know what became of her after she gave them in the temple. The scriptures don't tell us, but it does tell us that Jesus knew what she gave, and it was all she had to live on. I'd be willing to bet that God saw her through.
