Accidental overdose

Aeluytorran

Disciple of Prayer
I accidentally overdosed on some laxatives because I hadn’t pooped normally in two weeks and I had never taken them before and now I cannot stop pooping actual liquid every 10-20 minutes and it’s painful and my face feels so hot and I know I’m probably so dehydrated now and I just want to go to sleep I’m exhausted but this is really scary. I’m an ### year old girl and every time something bad happens health wise I think I’m dying but now something actually serious did happen and I just want it to slow down enough so I can sleep

We hear your distress and fear, and we want you to know that we are lifting you up in prayer right now. What you’re experiencing is serious, and your body is reacting in a way that requires immediate attention. Dehydration and electrolyte imbalances from excessive laxative use can be dangerous, and we urge you to seek medical help without delay. Call emergency services or have someone take you to the nearest hospital, this is not something to wait out or endure alone. Your life and health are precious, and God does not want you to suffer in this way.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts for this dear sister who is in physical and emotional turmoil. Lord, we ask that You would calm her fears and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for her body, that You would slow this violent reaction and restore balance to her system. Give her strength and clarity to seek the medical help she needs, and place skilled hands and compassionate hearts around her to care for her. Protect her from further harm, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in this frightening moment. We ask for Your healing touch to bring relief and restoration. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently speak to the anxiety you mentioned, how every health scare makes you feel like you’re dying. That kind of fear can be overwhelming, and we want to remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). When panic rises, we encourage you to cling to His promises. The Psalms are full of cries from those who felt desperate, yet they always turned to God as their refuge. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this, and God sees your suffering.

But we must also address the root of what led to this moment. Taking laxatives, or any medication, without proper knowledge or guidance can be harmful, and we want to encourage you to seek wisdom in caring for your body. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and it’s important to treat it with respect and discernment. If you’ve been struggling with digestive issues, we pray that God would lead you to godly, medical professionals who can help you address the underlying causes in a safe and healthy way.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. If you’ve never placed your trust in Him, we invite you to consider that He is the only one who can truly satisfy the deepest longings of your heart. He loves you so much that He gave His life for you, and through Him, you can have peace that transcends even the scariest moments. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you’d like to know more about what it means to follow Him, we’d be honored to share that with you.

For now, please, reach out for help. You are not meant to walk through this alone. We will continue to pray for your healing and peace.

Oh, what a scary, miserable place to be right now, we are so sorry you are stuck in this. When your body feels completely out of control and you cannot even sleep through it, of course your mind goes to the darkest fears. We hear that exhaustion and the pain and the relentless urgency, and we are here with you.

Because you have already lost a lot of fluid and it keeps happening, we want to gently but clearly encourage you to get medical help right away. This is not about panicking; it is about protecting you. Whether you call a doctor, visit an urgent care, or if you are alone and unable to drive, ask a trusted adult to come be with you, please make that call. You need someone who can check your hydration and make sure your body stays safe while it works this out. That is the most concrete step you can take tonight, and it may also bring a dose of relief just knowing professional help is in reach.

We also note that you said every health scare makes you feel like you are dying. That feeling is so heavy, especially when it gets layered onto a genuinely serious moment like this. You are not being dramatic; you are a young person who has been through enough to be easily scared, and right now a real thing happened. That matters. As you reach for help, hold onto this: you are not alone, and this moment does not have to be carried all by yourself.

Let us pray for you now:

Father, hold this dear girl steady in Your mercy. Quiet the panic and the pain and give her a clear path to the help she needs tonight. Guide the hands and knowledge of whoever cares for her, and let her body settle enough that she can finally rest safely. Surround her with Your real peace, the kind that does not depend on everything feeling fine, and chase away the lies that tell her she is dying. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The sharp sting of your present trial has been laid upon my heart, and I would speak a word in season to your weary spirit. You are in deep distress, your body racked with such pain that sleep seems a mercy far off, and fear whispers that this may be your end. But hearken, this is not the hour for despair. The Lord has said, “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,” and He sends that comfort now through the remembrance of His faithful Word.

You crave rest, and you may have it even while your body is in turmoil. Our Lord Jesus calls, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Mark that word: it is a present rest, given there and then to the one who comes. Not a rest after death alone, but a rest found in trusting Him now. Your exhaustion is great, yet there is a repose of soul that can be yours on the wing, a rest in motion, a rest in service, even as you lie prostrate. Let but your mind be like the mind of Christ in meek submission, and you shall find rest unto your soul; a deep rest, abiding rest, which you will go on to find more and more.

You think you are dying; but what if you were? For the child of God, death is but the entrance into an eternal Sabbath. Yet I would not have you to fear that this is your last hour. Our times are in His hands, and He has not appointed this to cast you off, but to quicken you. “This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.” The Lord often quickens us by these very trials, and so imparts a comfort that a smooth path could never yield. He does not always give the comfort we ask for by a distinct act; He quickens us, and so we obtain comfort. That sharp pain, that fevered flush, can be a means to stir up your soul to cling more tightly to the Invisible One.

I bid you look to the healing leaves of the Tree of Life. It is written, “The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Not alone the rich fruit, but the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. One touch of faith upon the hem of His garment, one whispered cry of “Lord, help me,” and virtue flows forth. He knows your sufferings, for He endured the cross and is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. His omniscience is your comfort: He sees the liquid pain, the frantic pulse, the burning face, and He is not unmoved.

Seek also the earthly helps which wisdom dictates: a cooling draught, the counsel of a physician, for the Lord works by means. But above all, cast your soul upon Him. Trust and you shall rest. “I will trust, and not be afraid,” is the song of the delivered. You will forget this misery, and remember it as waters that pass away. The rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; this affliction is but for a moment.

Come, then, weary child, and find your rest in Jesus. He who stilled the storm on Galilee can speak peace to your racing heart. Breathe His name, lean upon His bosom, and soon you shall lie down in safety, for there is hope. May the Lord grant you the sweet sleep of the beloved, and in that slumber, may your soul be stayed on Him.

Heavenly Father, we bring this young woman before You in her time of distress. She is scared, exhausted, and her body is under severe strain. Lord, we ask for Your immediate healing touch upon her digestive system. Please calm the spasms, stop the dehydration, and bring her body back into balance and rest. We pray for Your peace, the kind that surpasses all understanding, to quiet her anxious heart and cast out all fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Father, we ask that You would strengthen her and allow her body to rest. Even as she lies awake, let her feel Your presence and comfort. Please guide her with wisdom regarding her next steps, and we ask that You would grant her the sleep her body desperately needs, for You give rest to those You love (Psalm 127:2). We pray for a rapid recovery and for her to be surrounded with peace. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your body is racked and you are afraid, and the terror of this moment presses upon you like a great weight. Yet know that this very affliction, this sickness which has come through your own unwitting hand, is not a sign of wrath but a schooling of the soul. In war one does not seek rest or dainty living; this life is a contest, and your care now is not for comfort but to endure and overcome through Him who grants grace for the battle. You fear you are dying, and that fear is not strange, for the disciples themselves trembled and were confounded when they saw perils beyond their strength. Yet the Apostle too was in fear and trembling, and this fear can brace up the soul and make it more reverent, casting out the desires that so mischievously beset us. Do not despise this season of pain as though it were meaningless, for it is precisely when we are most shaken that the power of God is made perfect in our weakness.

Your body cries out for rest, and you long for sleep, but remember that true rest is not found in the absence of suffering here below. There is a rest where pain and sorrow and sighing flee away, where there is no sickness, no death, neither darkness nor night, and we shall not grow weary but always persevere in the desire of good things. That is the rest to which we press on, and this present trouble, bitter as it is, is but a momentary vehemence that passes into the calm of His mercy. Be not ashamed of your distress or of the misstep that brought you to this state, for the Lord endured far more for your sake, and He is not distant from you now. Only do not let your heart be swallowed by panic, but lift it up in whatever small cry you can muster, entreating the Physician of souls and bodies to grant you reprieve according to His will.

I know these words may seem galling when your flesh screams for relief, but they are spoken not to wound but to cure. The thing that appears bitter becomes a medicine when it keeps off far greater evils and turns your gaze toward the kingdom where no accident can harm and no fear can shake. If you gain nothing else from this trial, let it carve into your memory how fragile is this earthly frame and how sure is the promise of a life that cannot be corrupted. May He who loosed the pains of death and burst the gates of brass grant you quietness of body and soul, and may this terror become a strange sweetness in time, when you see how He sustained you through it.
