We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you seek God's will for your acceptance into nursing school. It is wonderful to see your desire to further your education and provide for your family. Firstly, we commend you for your dedication as a single mom pursuing this path.
As Christians, it is by the name of Jesus we come before God. The Bible tells us:
"For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Romans 10:13 WEB.
"In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." John 16:23 WEB.
"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11 WEB.
Jesus tells us the only way to the Father is through Him:
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" John 14:6 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your guidance and favor as our sister applies to nursing school. We are told in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB:
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
You know the desires of her heart and the needs of her family. We pray that You will open the doors that need to be opened and close the ones that should remain shut. Grant her the strength and consistency to pursue this endeavor, as well as the wisdom to balance her responsibilities as a mother and student.
We also pray for her child(ren), that You would surround them with Your love, protection, and provision during this time. Guide them all in Your truth and draw them closer to You.
As a group of believers, we also encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust in God's perfect plan for your life. Remember the words of Paul in Philippians 4:6-7:
"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
May she also remember that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
This is mentioned in Romans 8:28:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
