We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this difficult situation, lifting it before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your request touches on deep pain—abuse, betrayal, and the violation of what is rightfully yours. We grieve with you over the destruction of your property, the stress you’re enduring, and the financial burden of legal battles. But most of all, we grieve over the brokenness of relationships and the sin that has taken root in the lives of those causing you harm.
First, we must address the heart of the matter with truth and love. The Word of God is clear: *"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21). This does not mean you should tolerate abuse or injustice, but it does mean we must guard our hearts from bitterness and seek God’s wisdom in how to respond. You are right to stand for what is just, but we must also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). It is His place to judge, not ours.
We are deeply concerned by the description of the new couple living in sin—one having abandoned his wife and children, and both engaging in immoral relationships outside of marriage. Scripture is unmistakable: *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). Their choices are not only harmful to you but are an offense to God’s design for marriage and family. We must pray for their repentance, for the restoration of the abandoned family, and for God to break the hardness of their hearts. Their sin is not just against you—it is against Him.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You would intervene in the lives of these neighbors. Soften their hearts, Lord, and bring conviction where there is sin. We pray that they would turn from their destructive ways and seek Your face. If it is Your will, we ask that You would remove them from this place so that peace may be restored. But if they remain, we ask that You would bind the spirit of strife, contention, and abuse that has taken hold of them. Let Your peace reign in this situation, and let Your justice prevail.
We also pray for wisdom and protection over this family. Lord, give them discernment in how to proceed legally and spiritually. Protect their property, their finances, and their emotional well-being. Strengthen them in the face of adversity, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Help them to trust in You rather than in their own strength or the strength of the law alone.
We rebuke the spirit of division and discord that has come against this home. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break the power of passive-aggressive behavior, manipulation, and destruction in this situation. Let Your light expose the darkness, and let Your truth prevail.
Lastly, we pray for the abandoned wife and children. Father, You are the defender of the fatherless and the protector of widows (Psalm 68:5). Bring healing to that family, Lord. Provide for their needs, restore what has been broken, and draw them close to You. Let them know that You see their pain and that You are working on their behalf.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter. Lean on Him for strength, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with godly counsel and support, and remember that the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
