Abusers in power

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that God would remove the cia and every abuser in authority from my life in Jesus’ name. Please pray that he would hurry in Jesus’ name.

We hear your cry for justice and deliverance, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The abuse of power is a grievous sin, and those who wield authority unjustly will one day answer to the Lord, who sees all and judges righteously. The Word of God declares, "The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence" (Psalm 11:5). We rebuke every spirit of oppression and corruption in Jesus’ name, for He came to "proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound" (Isaiah 61:1).

We pray that the Lord would expose every hidden work of darkness and bring swift judgment upon those who misuse their power to harm the innocent. "For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment" (Romans 13:1-2). Yet we also know that God holds rulers accountable, and He will not tolerate injustice forever. "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8).

We lift you up before the throne of grace, asking that the Lord would surround you with His protection, peace, and provision. May He be your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that He would hasten the day when every abuser is removed from their position of influence and that you would experience freedom, healing, and restoration in Christ. "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who has all authority in heaven and on earth. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, breaking every chain of oppression and silencing every voice that seeks to harm Your child. Expose the works of darkness and bring them to light. Remove every ungodly authority figure who has misused their power, and replace them with those who will govern with righteousness and justice. Give [this person] strength, courage, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement for their complete deliverance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and uplift you. The battle is not yours alone, it belongs to the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:15). Trust in His timing, for He is faithful to deliver His children. If you have not already, consider reaching out to trusted spiritual leaders or counselors who can walk alongside you during this difficult time. You are not forgotten, and God sees your pain. He will act on your behalf.

Thank you for trusting us with this urgent prayer. We hear the weight of feeling targeted by those in power, and we’re standing with you in this. When the threat seems so large and unrelenting, it’s easy to feel swallowed by fear, but please know you don’t carry this alone. God is not blind to oppression, He draws near to those who are crushed, and He is your very real refuge.

Sometimes the most immediate step we can take, alongside prayer, is to make sure we are physically safe. If you are in any danger from an abuser, we gently urge you to reach out to local emergency services or connect with a trusted pastor or advocate who can help you sort through what protection might be available. Even if it feels like only the spiritual battle remains, sharing the burden with a mature believer can bring practical relief and steady encouragement while you wait on God’s timing.

We also know how hard it is when God seems to delay. Cry out to Him honestly, He can handle your impatience and your pain, and keep anchoring your heart in the truth that He is just and that nothing escapes His notice. He will act.

Let us pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, we ask You to shield this precious one from every abuser and every hidden threat. In Your authority we plead for deliverance, bring an end to the schemes of those who use power to do harm. Grant clarity about any step toward safety, and let Your peace guard their mind and body. We trust You to move, and we ask it all in Your mighty name. Amen.

The power of darkness is a heavy and a dreadful thing, it conceals, it depresses, it sleeps, and those who wield authority in high places often serve that darkness, whether they know it or not. But the cry of your heart is sent up to Him who alone can shatter such chains. "He has delivered us from the power of darkness." That is a fact accomplished for every soul knit to Christ; yet the temporal dealings of abusers in power often require a further, manifest deliverance for which we must wait and plead. You have not been left to sleep as do others when you cry out for God to arise and scatter His enemies. Your prayer is a proof that the Holy Spirit has awakened you to hate the oppression and to long for the righteous hand of Jehovah.

Yet how often does the adversary whisper that God has forgotten, that His ear is heavy, and that He will never stir His arm to work deliverance. This is the deadliest arrow of all. When you see the wicked in power and the righteous trodden down, the dark thought rises: "The Lord hath forsaken; He will not regard." But it is a lie, forged in the pit. He that looks God in the face every morning will never fear the face of man. The Lord may permit tribulation to press hard, but He does whisper to the heart of His children sweet assurances that they shall not be crushed. I am bound to believe that. Your very ability to cry "hurry" in Jesus’ name is the Spirit's token that the hour of deliverance is marked upon the clock of mercy.

Look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for this sanctified removal. Deliverance from cruel captivity must be worked by the outstretched arm of Jehovah, not by fleshly scheming. If He brings a nation out of Egypt with silver and gold, can He not untangle the nets of the secret abusers and break the rod of the oppressor? He that works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure uses means, certainly, but the power is His alone. You are not spellbound beyond His reach; no jail of human malice can hold a soul for whom the ransoming price has been paid. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any deliverance is worth nothing, but that power is pledged to all who trust in Jesus. Rest your soul upon Him. He will have all or none; not one for whom Christ has died shall remain in perpetual captivity.

Though you sit in the midnight of despair, you must remember that the much-tried Christian has great wonders to declare. They that go down to the sea in ships see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep. In due time, He will so come to your deliverance that ever afterwards you will speak of it with praise and thanksgiving. As you wait for God to remove the abuser and every foul branch of authority, do not merely shoot three arrows and then stand still. Pray with importunity, smite upon the ground with the persistence of faith, and expect that the God who raised up our Lord Jesus shall bring you forth. Even in this deep trial, He is withdrawing you from your own purpose and hiding pride from you, that when deliverance dawns, you will declare the name of the Lord in Zion. The Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing beneath His wings; until that appointed moment, hold fast to the assurance that though you walk in a dense and afflicting gloom, He has delivered you from the reigning, concealing, and condemning power of it all.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for the removal of abusers from your life, calling on God to hurry. But consider this: you think you have the power to direct God’s vengeance according to your timetable, yet in doing so, you are not acting as one who has power, but rather as one brought under the power of resentment. For you have not power even over your own soul so long as you are consumed by bitterness toward these authorities, but that bitterness has power over you. What seems expedient to you is not expedient. You cry out for their removal, but I say to you first: mourn. Not primarily because they afflict you, but mourn for your misdoings. For when God comforts, though sorrows come upon you by thousands like snow-flakes, you will be above them all. The blessedness He promises to those who mourn is not limited to removing punishments, but makes them blessed and imparts abundant consolation. Where then is your comfort to be found? In the hastening of your own repentance, not in the hastening of another’s downfall.

You speak of abuse from those in power. But recall the pattern of our Lord, who descended into the lower parts of the earth, becoming obedient unto death. He took the tyrant captive: the devil, death, the curse, sin. These are the real powers from which you need deliverance. The authorities you name, whatever their malice, are but instruments. The urgent matter is not their earthly removal but your preservation from the gall of bitterness in your own heart. Let your prayer not be for their swift destruction, but for your own deliverance from evil and your promotion to sonship, that you might receive the Spirit of adoption. If God delays in removing the tares, it is not neglect of your suffering, but a care for the crop. The servants in the parable were eager to root up the weeds, and their haste showed their anxiety for the field. Yet the Master restrained them, lest the wheat be harmed. So too God may permit abusers to remain for a season, not to abandon you, but that through faithful endurance a greater work be accomplished. The very thing you find burdensome He can use to plant miracles in the heart of the enemy’s country.

Release your demand that God act in haste according to your terms. Repent of the thought that His power can be directed by your timetable, as if the gift of justice could be purchased with your impatience. Instead, humble your heart. Let go of your claim to command the removal of these agents or any mortal power. Seek first the removal of your own anger, your own bondage to the injury done to you. Then you will have power over your own soul, and you will be able to say, "I will not be brought under the power of any," not even the power of the abusers’ memory in your mind. Let this be your urgent request: that God would remove from you the inward captivity, and grant you the comfort that belongs to those who mourn their own sins more than the sins of others.
