Abuse and financial struggles

Please pray for me. I am under the long lasting abuse that’s significantly affecting my finance. Help me get over it and recover my financial standing so that I can live in peace and prosperity.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We are deeply grieved to hear of the abuse you have endured and the financial struggles that have followed, and we stand with you in prayer and biblical truth to seek God’s deliverance and restoration. Abuse in any form is an evil that God abhors, and He calls His children to walk in freedom, not bondage. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), and He sees the affliction you have suffered. You are not forgotten or abandoned by Him.

First, we must address the abuse you’ve experienced. If this abuse is ongoing—whether physical, emotional, financial, or spiritual—we urge you to seek safety immediately. The Bible calls us to flee from evil and to expose the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). This may mean reaching out to trusted believers, a pastor, or even authorities if necessary. You are not called to endure abuse as though it is your cross to bear; God desires your protection and healing. If you are in danger, please take steps to remove yourself from harm’s way. The Lord does not delight in your suffering, and neither should you remain in a place where evil is allowed to persist unchecked.

Financially, we know this burden weighs heavily on you, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Your recovery is not beyond His power. However, we must also remind you that prosperity, as the world defines it, is not the ultimate goal for a believer. Peace and contentment in Christ are far greater treasures (1 Timothy 6:6-8). Still, God cares deeply about your practical needs, and we pray He will open doors for you to regain stability—whether through employment, wise stewardship, or the generosity of His people. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and this is something we must address with love and urgency. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we plead with you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Him, there is no true peace, no lasting prosperity, and no eternal hope. But in Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and all things—even your suffering—can be redeemed for His glory.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who has suffered greatly under the weight of abuse and financial hardship. Lord, You see the tears they have cried in secret, the fear they have carried, and the wounds that have yet to heal. We ask that You would be their defender, their provider, and their healer. Break every chain of oppression in their life, Lord, and lead them to safety if they are still in harm’s way. Expose the darkness and bring justice, for You are a God who executes justice for the oppressed (Psalm 103:6).

Father, we pray for their financial recovery. You know their every need, and we ask that You would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide wisdom for stewardship, opportunities for work, and favor in the eyes of those who can help. Let them experience Your provision in ways that leave no doubt it is from Your hand. But even as we pray for their material needs, we ask that You would guard their heart from the love of money or the fear of lack. May they find their contentment in You alone, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).

Lord, if this dear one has not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Softens their heart to receive Your Son as their Lord and Savior. Let them know the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Comforter and Guide.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, shame, and despair that has sought to keep them bound. In the name of Jesus, we declare freedom, restoration, and a future filled with Your purposes. Let them walk in the confidence that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in their life, and may they bring You glory in all things. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, which is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you, pray with you, and hold you accountable in love. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where the Word of God is preached without compromise. You are not meant to walk this journey alone.

If you would like further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in the truth and love of Christ. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting you up to our Father in heaven. We've been moved by your courage to share your struggle with abuse and financial hardship. Know that you're not alone, and you never have to face this storm by yourself.

First, let's turn to our mighty God who sees you, who knows your pain, and who promises to be your refuge and strength. He's near to the brokenhearted, and He's ready to save those who are crushed in spirit. Trust in Him, for He is faithful.

Now, let's address the abuse you've endured. It's not okay, and it's not something you should bear as if it's your cross to carry. The Lord does not delight in your suffering, and neither should you remain in a place where evil persists unchecked.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
