We join you in bringing your financial need before our Heavenly Father and we hear your desire for provision and peace in this area.
We want to lovingly speak to the language of decreeing abundance and prosperity, because Scripture teaches us that we do not command or decree to God as if we can force His hand, but we humbly ask and submit to His sovereign will. God is not a force to be manipulated by our words, He is our Father who knows what we need and calls us to pray with humility and trust. Jesus taught us to pray Your will be done, and to ask, seek, and knock with faith.
We also want to gently correct any idea that the gospel is a guarantee of financial wealth. The abundant life Jesus gives is first and foremost spiritual abundance, forgiveness, peace, and eternal life in Him, John 10:10. The love of money can become a snare, for 1 Timothy 6:10 says For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. And 1 Timothy 6:6 reminds us But godliness with contentment is great gain. That does not mean God does not care about your finances, He does, and He promises to provide for His children.
We take comfort in promises like Matthew 6:33 But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. And Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And 2 Corinthians 9:8 God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. He calls us also to diligence and wise stewardship, for Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit and Proverbs 3:9 Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to confess your sin, believe that He died for you and rose again, and receive His forgiveness and new life. It is through Him that we can boldly bring our needs to God.
So we pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You are our Provider and that You know every need we have before we ask. We lift up this dear one to You who is asking for a financial miracle. Lord, You see the bills, the debts, the uncertainty, and the burden this carries. We ask that You would provide for every true need according to Your riches in glory, and grant wisdom for stewardship, work, and decisions. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and to trust You with contentment whether in plenty or in want, as Philippians 4:11 teaches. Give diligence to hands, open doors for honest work and opportunity, help to manage what is given with integrity, generosity, and faithfulness, and guard the heart from greed or anxiety. Forgive us where we have tried to command You rather than humbly ask You, and teach us to pray according to Your will. Above all, let there be abundance of faith, peace, and hope in Christ, which is true prosperity. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your needs to God daily in Jesus name, to be faithful in the work He has given your hands to do, to live within your means, to avoid debt where possible, to be generous even in small things, and to trust His timing. He is faithful and He cares for you more than you know.
