We lift our hearts together in prayer, seeking the Lord’s will for your life as you desire abundance and prosperity in a way that honors Him. The world often defines prosperity in terms of wealth, comfort, and material success, but Scripture teaches us that true abundance is found in a life surrendered to Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." This reminds us that our priority must be God’s will and His glory, not merely our own desires.
We also recognize that prosperity is not just about financial gain but about the richness of a life lived in obedience to God. In 3 John 1:2, we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." True prosperity begins with the soul—with a heart that is aligned with God’s purposes. If your pursuit of abundance leads you away from Him or into greed, pride, or idolatry, we must rebuke that spirit in Jesus’ name. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and we must guard our hearts against it.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would bless them with true abundance—not just in material things, but in the fullness of life that comes from walking closely with You. Father, we ask that You would prosper them in health, in peace, and in every good work You have prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10). May their soul prosper as they seek You first and foremost.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of greed, lack, or discontentment that may be at work in their life. We declare that You are their provider, and Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon them, not so they may hoard wealth, but so they may be a blessing to others and a testimony to Your goodness.
Father, we also ask that You would protect their heart from the love of money and the distractions of this world. Help them to store up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal (Matthew 6:19-20). May their life reflect Your generosity, Your love, and Your grace.
We pray for wisdom in how they steward the blessings You provide. Give them discernment to use their resources for Your kingdom, to help the poor, to support Your work, and to care for their family as You have commanded. May they never forget that everything they have belongs to You, and may they use it to bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we also pray for contentment in every season. Whether in plenty or in want, may they find their satisfaction in You alone (Philippians 4:11-13). Teach them to trust in Your provision and to walk in faith, knowing that You are their shepherd and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw this dear one closer to You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would reveal Your love and salvation to them. There is no true prosperity apart from You, for You are the source of all good things. May they come to know You as their Lord and Savior, if they do not already, and may their life be a living testimony of Your grace.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
