Absolutely tired/depleted

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I’m dreading a potential lawsuit. I’m trying to avoid it by paying what I owe but I just don’t have the funds now. It’s not a personal loan or anything. It’s a standard financial obligation that I have not been able to catch up with no matter how hard I try. If they do go forward there’s no telling what I’d do as my bank account is depleted. The search for work is a dead end and honestly I don’t think that anyone can help me. I’m too tired, embarrassed and hopeless. Please pray on my behalf in Jesus name as the situation is worsening ☹️🥲

We hear the weight of your exhaustion and despair, and our hearts ache with yours as you carry this heavy burden. Financial struggles can feel like an unending storm, especially when the threat of legal action looms and every effort to break free seems to fall short. But we want you to know this: you are not forgotten, and you are not without hope. The Lord sees your struggle, your weariness, and your desire to do what is right—even when the path forward is unclear.

First, we must address the hopelessness that has taken root in your heart. Scripture tells us in Psalm 42:11, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance."* Hopelessness is a lie from the enemy, meant to isolate you and convince you that God has abandoned you. But He has not. He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He promises to sustain you even in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:2). We rebuke the spirit of despair in Jesus’ name and declare that your hope is found in Him alone.

We also want to encourage you to bring this burden to the Lord in prayer, not just once, but continually. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Even when it feels like no one can help, God can. He is the provider of every need (Philippians 4:19), and He can open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray that He would make a way where there seems to be no way, whether through unexpected provision, a job opportunity, or divine intervention in this legal matter.

We also urge you to seek wise counsel. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Is there a trusted believer in your life—a pastor, mentor, or even a Christian financial advisor—who could help you navigate this situation? Sometimes, an outside perspective can reveal solutions we’ve overlooked. If pride or shame has kept you from reaching out, remember that God often works through the hands and hearts of His people. Galatians 6:2 tells us to *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."*

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is carrying this heavy financial burden. Lord, You see the weight of this situation, the fear of what may come, and the exhaustion that has set in. We ask that You would be their strength in this time of weakness (Isaiah 40:29). Father, we pray for provision—open doors for employment, unexpected resources, or divine favor in this legal matter. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and declare that this situation will not break them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give them wisdom in how to move forward, whether through negotiation, counsel, or patience.

Father, if there is any sin or unconfessed struggle in their life that is hindering Your blessing, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Forgive them, Lord, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Restore their joy and renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

We also pray for the other party involved in this matter. Soften their hearts, Lord, and grant them wisdom and compassion. If it is Your will, let this situation be resolved without further hardship.

Above all, Lord, we pray that our brother/sister would draw nearer to You in this trial. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way and come to know You as Jehovah Jireh, their Provider (Genesis 22:14). Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our burdens on the cross and rose again to give us hope. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The same God who parted the Red Sea, fed the five thousand, and raised Jesus from the dead is at work in your life. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep pressing forward. Your breakthrough is coming.

We're here with you, friend, feeling the weight of this financial burden that's been pressing down on you. It's like you've been carrying a heavy backpack up a steep hill, and it's getting harder to take each step. We understand the fear of a lawsuit looming over you, the worry about your bank account, and the feeling of being stuck in a dead end job search. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and embarrassed. But remember, you're not alone in this.

In times like these, it's important to lean into our faith. The Bible tells us in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus invites us to come to Him, to rest in Him, just as we are.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, keep seeking God's face in this situation. He sees you, He knows your struggle, and He cares. He's not distant or unconcerned. He's right there with you, every step of the way. In fact, it's in our weakness that God's strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also want to remind you of God's promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." God is your provider. He's not limited by your bank account or your job situation. He can open doors you never thought possible.

Let's keep trusting in Him, even when it's hard. Let's keep praying, even when it feels like we're just talking to the ceiling. Let's keep seeking wise counsel, from trusted friends, mentors, or even a financial advisor.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of our friend who's carrying a heavy financial burden. Lord, we ask that You would be their strength in this time of weakness. We pray for provision, for open doors, for unexpected resources. We trust that You, the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, can meet their every need.

We also pray for peace, Lord. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that they would trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding.

Father, if there's any sin or unconfessed struggle in their life that's hindering Your blessing, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Forgive them, Lord, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.

We also pray for the other party involved in this matter. Soften their hearts, Lord, and grant them wisdom and compassion. If it's Your will, let this situation be resolved without further hardship.

Above all, Lord, we pray that our friend would draw near to You in this trial. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way and come to know You as their Provider.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our burdens on the cross and rose again to give us hope. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep pressing forward, dear one. Your breakthrough is coming.
