🙏 Ability to Pray Fervently... Supply Lines OPENED in Jesus' Name, Jn 15:7-8...

Nochaeld

Beloved of All
Father, thank You we are not unaware of the enemies' tactics, 2 Cor 2:11. Some of us are carrying a lot of different things in life, plus the burden of souls and physical things, others, relationships and You understood the propensity toward humans to worry. Thank You Jesus that You gave us visual illustrations and parables in order to make sure You care about us more than sparrows, flowers, etc, all of which The Father provides for, and that we ought always to pray. We thank You for the simplicity of The Lord's Prayer Matt 6:9-13, and even for the intercession from The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:22-26, as well as You, Jesus, who also intercede for us, Rom 8:34, and ever live to do so, Heb 7:25, even as You prayed for Peter and the disciples that their faith wouldn't fail, Luke 22:32, John 17:9, even rising to Stand in The Place of Intercession, "Look, I see heaven opened and The Son of Man STANDING at the Right Hand of God," Acts 7:56, from where You had been seated, Ps 110:1, Acts 2:34-35, Eph 1:20, Col 3:1, Heb 1:3 -- You stand at times for prayer when we need it most!!!

So we cast our cares on You, for You care for us, 1 Pet 5:7, and rather than give you some cotton-candy and a pat on the back -- submit to God and help resist the devil over your life, James 4:7, 1 Pet 5:8-9, collectively as the CHURCH that Jesus BUILT, that the gates of HELL shall NOT PREVAIL AGAINST!!! Matt 16:18. We say "NO" to the devil cutting off our supply lines to the VINE, Jn 15:1-5, Jn 15:6-8. Grant nearness to God and access through the BLOOD and VEIL, Heb 4:15-16, thank You in Jesus' Name...

We join you in this fervent prayer and we say amen to your desire for open supply lines to the Vine and for grace to pray without ceasing.

We thank God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is His blood that has torn the veil. We agree with you that we are not unaware of the enemy's schemes, as it is written in 2 Cor 2:11, and that the enemy would love to cut off our communion with Christ, to choke prayer, to burden us with cares and distractions so that we faint. But we take comfort that Jesus Himself taught us to always pray and not to faint in Luke 18:1, and He gave us such tender illustrations that our Father feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies, how much more will He care for us who are His children in Matt 6:26-30.

We rejoice that you are standing on abiding, for Jesus said in John 15:7-8 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so you will be my disciples. And again in John 15:5 apart from me you can do nothing. We pray together that we would all remain deeply rooted and connected to Him, that nothing would sever that flow of grace, that our supply lines would stay open and clear through obedience, confession, and abiding in His Word.

We cast our cares on Him together, for He cares for us in 1 Pet 5:7, and we hear the call to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God in Phil 4:6-7. We resist worry not by striving but by bringing everything to the throne of grace. And we agree that we must submit ourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you in James 4:7, and that we must be sober and self-controlled, withstanding the adversary steadfast in faith in 1 Pet 5:8-9. We declare together that the Church which Jesus builds will prevail, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it in Matt 16:18.

We thank God for the simplicity and power of the Lord's Prayer in Matt 6:9-13, and for the wonderful ministry of intercession, that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Rom 8:26, and that Christ Jesus Himself is at the right hand of God interceding for us in Rom 8:34, who ever lives to make intercession in Heb 7:25. We love that you remembered Stephen seeing Jesus standing at the right hand of God in Acts 7:56, though He is seated at the right hand in Ps 110:1 and Heb 1:3, He stands to intercede and to welcome and to aid His people in their hour of need. What a Savior who prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail in Luke 22:32 and who prays for us still in John 17:9.

So we pray now together, Father, in Jesus' name, draw us near and keep us near. Let us with boldness approach the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need in Heb 4:16. Forgive us where prayer has been weak or distracted or hindered by unconfessed sin or by carrying burdens You never meant us to carry alone. Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus, renew our minds by Your Word, and teach us to abide. Grant us a fervent spirit in prayer, for the insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective in James 5:16. Holy Spirit, help our weakness and teach us to pray according to the will of God. Keep our supply lines to the Vine open, pruned, fruitful, and full of Your life, that we may ask and receive and bear much fruit to Your glory. We say no to the enemy's tactics to isolate, discourage, and cut off, and we say yes to abiding, to watching, to praying fervently together as one Body. Let Your will be done in us and through us, and let our prayers align with Your heart for souls, for needs, for relationships, and for Your kingdom to come. We trust You to provide as You provide for all creation, and to perfect that which concerns us. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We appreciate you lifting this prayer for all of us. You named something many feel but don't always put into words, carrying personal burdens and at the same time a burden for souls, and wanting to stay fervent in prayer when worry and spiritual opposition press in.

We are encouraged by how you centered this on staying connected to Jesus as the vine and keeping those supply lines open. That picture has helped us too. In our walk we have found that connection is kept less by trying harder in a single moment and more by steady training over time. Like preparing for a long run, small faithful steps each day of bringing cares to Him, thanking Him, and asking for His nearness shape us more than waiting for one big experience. It keeps our hearts turned toward Him when the enemy would like to pull us away.

One simple step that helps many is to choose a regular time and place to pray, even for a few minutes, and to invite one trusted believer to agree with you during the week. Knowing others are praying with you steadies you and reminds you the church stands together.

Father, thank You that You care for us and invite us to cast our cares on You. Draw us close through the blood of Jesus, keep us abiding in Him, and give us grace to resist what is evil and to rest in Your care. Build us up as Your church to pray with perseverance and peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a blessed thing to hear a heart that longs to abide in the Vine and to keep the supply lines open by prayer, for this is the very life of the soul. You have well said that we are to cast our cares upon Him for He cares for us, and you have rightly remembered that we are not unaware of the adversary who would cut off our communion if he could.

Remember how our Lord Himself taught us to pray. On three occasions the Father bore audible testimony to Christ, and on each of those occasions He was either in the act of prayer or had just been praying. Before He chose the twelve He continued all night in prayer to God, as if He would hear from heaven whom the right men should be to lead His Church. If the holy Son of God needed such preparation in prayer, how much more do we. Would you glow and glisten in the brightness and glory of the holiness of God, then be much in prayer, as Jesus was.

Your prayer in the day of trouble is no small thing. Outward devotions may suppose a God, but prayer in trouble proves that God is a fact to the supplicant. When a man sincerely calls upon God in the day of trouble it is a truthful recognition of His being, His personality, His power and His condescension to interpose in the affairs of men. Little as that act may seem, it puts crowns upon all the attributes of God. The righteous cry and the Lord hears. Do not be agitated and do not run away to others, but call upon God in calm faith, and you shall become quiet and unshaken in full assurance of Him upon whom you rely.

You have spoken truly of our access through the blood and the veil. We have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, and we may come with confidence to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. And what a mercy that we do not come alone. The Holy Spirit Himself helps our infirmities and makes intercession for us, and Christ Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us at the right hand of God. As Stephen saw Him, He is not only seated but at times He stands in the place of intercession for His people when they need it most, even as He prayed for Peter that his faith should not fail.

Abide in Him, and let His words abide in you, and then you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. This abiding is not a cotton candy comfort but a real submission to God whereby we resist the devil and he must flee, for the Church which Jesus builds is that against which the gates of hell shall not prevail.

Yet let me remind you, as I must remind every soul, that prayer itself is not the way to heaven, though it is a great and precious help on the road. Christ alone is the Way. We pine not for a Christless theism, but for God in Christ. For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. In the visible creation we see His works, but in Christ Jesus we have God Himself, Emmanuel, God with us. There is one God and He is gloriously manifested in Christ, and no man has seen God at any time except the only begotten Son has declared Him. Look then to Christ personal, Christ in the gospel, and Christ in the heart, for He is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

So draw near. Lay hold on Christ as He is given to be a covenant for the people, to comfort every coming sinner. Come with nothing in your hand but to cling simply to His cross, for your righteousness and your eternal perfection are found only in Him. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ as a garment to live in and to die in, intending never to take Him off again. And may the Lord, even the Holy Spirit who dwells within believers, direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ, till your praying becomes fervent, abiding, and fruitful to the glory of the Father.
