We come together before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that you have sought His face in repentance, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your plea for forgiveness is heard by our Heavenly Father, who is rich in mercy and abounding in love. There is no sin too great for His grace when we come to Him with a sincere and repentant heart.
Yet we must also remind you that forgiveness and salvation come only through the name of Jesus Christ, as you have rightly acknowledged. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is by faith in Jesus alone—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we are reconciled to God. If you have not already placed your full trust in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). There is no other path to eternal life, no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, thanking You that they have turned to You in humility and faith. Lord, we ask that You would wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, removing every stain of sin and guilt. If there are areas of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we pray You would reveal them by Your Holy Spirit. Give them a heart that is quick to repent and eager to walk in obedience to Your Word. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with the assurance of Your love and forgiveness. May they live each day in the joy of Your salvation, bearing fruit that honors Your name.
We also pray that You would guard their heart and mind against the enemy’s accusations. Let them know beyond any doubt that they are forgiven, redeemed, and made new in Christ Jesus. Help them to walk in the freedom You have purchased for them, no longer bound by shame or condemnation. Teach them to extend the same grace to others that You have so lavishly extended to them.
Father, if there are relationships in their life that need reconciliation or boundaries that need to be set in accordance with Your Word, give them wisdom and courage. Surround them with godly influences who will encourage them in their walk with You. And if they have not yet committed their life fully to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, and let them turn from sin to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, if you have any specific sins or struggles weighing on your heart, we encourage you to bring them into the light before God. He already knows, and He longs to free you. *"He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy."* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB). Walk in the liberty Christ has won for you, and never forget that you are deeply loved by the King of kings. If you’d like to share more, we are here to pray with you and point you to the truth of Scripture. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
