We come before you with hearts full of gratitude that you have brought this dear one to a place of repentance, for it is written, *"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:8-9, WEB). It is beautiful to see a heart that seeks forgiveness, for this is the first step toward restoration and a closer walk with our Lord.
Yet we must gently address something important—while you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, we notice the use of symbols (#) that are not necessary when coming before the Lord. Our prayers are not about formulas or symbols but about a sincere heart crying out to the Father through the name of Jesus, our only Mediator. *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace, and it is by His precious name alone that we are saved. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let us also take this moment to encourage you: if you have not already surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. True repentance is more than asking for forgiveness—it is turning away from sin and turning toward God with all your heart. *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Father, if there is any sin they have not yet released to You, bring it to their mind so they may repent and walk in the freedom You have purchased for them through the blood of Jesus.
We pray that You would fill them with the assurance of Your love and forgiveness, casting out any condemnation or shame the enemy may try to place upon them. Remind them that *"as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."* (Psalm 103:12, WEB). Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
